I am currently unaware of anyplace to find parts. If anyone has any input that would be great. it could also be the bag not on just right.

Okay I just checked some videos of the Zephyr and it seems that there might be some rubber piece that attaches to the tip of the straw that I am missing on my unit. That might be causing my problem.

What's Your Function?
That makes more sense. You unit should have come with more of everything. You're looking for a little piece that looks like this:

where can i buy a zephyr
As far as i know Zephyr is not manufactured anymore so i don't know if the unit you purchase will be covered by warranty .. Anyway there might be some of the big vaporizer sites that have it left on stock..
IMO you better check the Oracle, it uses Infrared heating to vaporize the herb :).

EDIT: Never mind. I am a dolt :D My apologies for not reading up the thread

Has anyone heard any more from the company? I'm tempted to shoot an email off to the old support address on the off chance someone checks it. I loved the bag system, it's the only other one with a nice valve. I want to get one to try to mate with my herbalaire but of course nobody will sell just the bag as it's all discontinued.

I know the smokers outlets around here have way old zephyr stuff and units. Food for thought.

Hi,

I wish the Zephyr iOn bag accessory were available for use with my HA myself: that's the only part that still needs "personalisation" as far as i'm concerned. Past that point i'll want a Cloud but this won't happen anytime soon...

Though lets mention that the tubing is different: 7/16" O.D. instead of 5/16" O.D. as with the HerbalAire, which can be dealt with by using a short section of the larger tube like a sleeve to match our 3/16" I.D. 5/16" O.D. aquarium-compatible system.

Ahhh, I think my zephyr just broke! I was going to go for a wake and bake and I noticed a crackling sound coming from the machine. I set it to 375 and five minutes later, after checking it out, I saw that you could see some glowing element through the opening and I had assumed I just never noticed this. I was a bit cautious so I hit the air button and this awful smoke came pouring out.

Such a sad day indeed.

Your not the only one who has had their Ion combust and die on them. That is why I would never actually get another ion unless it is updated.

On the off hand torakuma, if you have any of the bag valves left that you will no longer be using I would be glad to purchase them from you and get you started on your way to a new vape. Email me if your interested.

Yeah, they have been saying that for a good year or so now, either things do move very slowly, or they don't move at all.

Hey gang I've got great news! I emailed the China distributors via Alibaba to try and buy a zephyr. They told me to buy one in the states. I replied that zephyr US seemed to be mia. He said he'd have them email me.

Thanks for your inquiry about our vaporizers through Alibaba. If you're looking to purchase a single unit, they are available through one of our distributors: http://www.vapenow.com/zephyr-ion-vaporizer-p-343/. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Best, Zephyr

Not sure about u guys but I'm ecstatic! My buddy has one and it kicks the shit outta anything I've tried. My eq doesn't even come close.

...my zephyr wont heat up anymore...

Hummm...

In your situation i'd 1st post here, of course, then i'd probably need to consider the possibility to "service" the appliance myself... This means it could happen to be necessary to determine if a substitution heating element can be found at a reasonable cost, considering that particular product already costs some good amount of money...

In any case, should you ever decide to open it up then please post pictures here so we can attempt to explore/offer some avenues of solution.

I've opened up a unit a few times, back when Bruce was working for Zephyr. He walked me through a problem with the heating element, and I was diagnosing a problem with the plastic elbows on the end of the internal silicone hoses between the pump and heating chamber.

Opening it isn't terribly difficult, nor is assembling it again. Be very careful and go slow. The connections on the back of the LCD are a little exposed, so when assembling it, make sure they don't get crunched, because they can break off. Also, making sure the hoses are all fitting together before closing it back up can be a little tricky without some tools (I have a good mechanics toolbox, what you need is some forceps, or maybe very long needle nose pliers). What I would worry about is if the heating element has died, because its all wrapped up in fiberglass to insulate it. Disassembling the ceramic heater is not fun.

If you need assistance, I can walk you through the steps.

good luck, rabbit. I would not hesitate to go the McGyver route...I don't know if they are ever coming back.

I recieved an email from Zephyr a year ago asking what the problem with my Ion was. I told them and they offered up something for me to try.

"Have you tried dialing down the temp to 100*F and then changing to Celsius by pressing both the plus and minus buttons at the same time and then pressing them both again to change back to Fahrenheit? Give this a shot and if it doesn't work, we can get the units serviced shortly."

It worked for me, it's worth a try.

When was it purchased? If it's less than 2 years ago the Zephyr website has a page for requesting an RMA to return them for service under the two year warranty http://zephyrvaporizers.com/service/

If it's out of warranty you might try emailing <admin@zephyrvaporizers.com> and asking if they will repair an out-of-warranty unit and ask for pricing.
