The Turbo Tube will fit into a standard 14mm gong. That is what I used in the video with my glass MIO tube. The silicone makes a nice seal into the glass joint.

A long, long time ago, I experimented with the soldering gun conduction vape inside a bong [and was unimpressed].
When I finally was interested again, I made the mistake of starting off my vaporizing experience with a horrendous chinese-made whip box vape [but then again, I figured that in going cheap the first time it'd help guide me in the right direction rather than saddling me with an expensive unit I find myself unhappy with].
Lesson learnt, did my homework in selecting the PD [which efficiency made me last twice as long on the same amount-- just an incredible leap that more than paid for its price!].
Made the mistake of relying on it as my only vape though [after all, it seemed like it could be a lifetime-use device] but due to the charring and subsequent loosening of the unit it rattled around inside until it inevitably broke. I'm waiting on parts to fix it myself; the horror of combustion in the meantime has made it clear my repaired PD must now be the emergency backup, and that I must research what is the best vape on the market for myself.
Many vaporizer threads gave me a sinking-stone feeling, so I closed them and was starting to feel like I wasn't going to find something I liked.
Not this one. The feeling is just right. I am also amazed and impressed at the many pictures and creative uses for the HI!!! This is definitely my new home!
By the way, my Jameco power adapter for the PD? Label says its 12v, but the multimeter reads as between 14.5v-15.5v, constantly shifting. Its AC output (not DC) so you have to read it with ACV on the multimeter, unless I'm doing this wrong [I'm admittedly not an electrical engineer]. That could explain how it could be hotter than the 12.4v max of the vv?
If there is anything that I consider the most important accessory to be researching for this item for myself [whether through this thread or independently] its in having a battery pack. Being able to scale this baby up to portability would be a godsend, since it is already small enough! I don't mind having the battery pack in a backpack, that is just perfect for when I'm outdoors. 3-4 hours as indicated in a post does sound just right, so I'm excited at that!
Time to put myself on the list and to be patient!

Thanks for your interest. I do still make the original shape, but it will only work with my original power supplies. The new unit is 3/8" taller (10%) to accept a right angle adapter which allows the variable voltage power supply which has a straight end plug. I'm still looking for an extension cord with a right angle adapter that can work on the original to allow it to work with the variable voltage. That is on the same list of projects as a portable HI. The taller units do provide more space at the bottom to grab the unit as this will be the cooler part of the wood. I pick up the unit between my index and middle finger with my palm facing up. I then roll the unit over my middle finger using my index finger until the unit is inverted. This gives you the perfect position for hitting your water filtration setup. This also leaves your thumb free to grab the roasting tube between your thumb and index finger to immediately lift for clearing the chamber.
I think that ilovebOObs was using something a bit concentrated in that glass nipple. You would not normally get that many cloudy hits. Nice to know it works well with concentrates. I make the glass nipples. I'm not sure on the best place to get the bong.
Good question about the Solo. I think the nipple would have to extend all the way to the bottom. Good thing I don't have a Solo. Would probably be spending time making glass stems for it.
Welcome home HoneyAir. Glad you found your way here. The HI was developed with the most flexibility in mind. I'm sorry to hear about your PD. Very interesting about the measured voltage from your PD adapter. Not sure if that may be contributing to the failure of some PDs. It is always important to know the voltage you are applying.

Thanks for your interest. The nipples are the latest development and are just a simple addition to the turbo tube. I have been developing things so quickly and recently that I haven't had a chance to update my website. My backlog is also so tremendous that I need to spend time on it at this point. I will try to answer any questions that haven't already been addressed in this thread. It is probably the best source of information at this point.

it doesn't come with any tubes, you can buy tube for it from the huge selection. i recommend getting the all glass one and get a few different tips to mess with. but every tube i tried so far gave me a different experience which is awesome.
the hash nipple, i use 2 glass tip together with some tubing then i stuffed it in a 18 to 14mm reducer. i use it to vape hash but works good with herbs too.

its a sheldon black six shooter, have it for the longest time now. i keep wanting a new piece but everytime i think about it, nothing fits my needs better. i just like having a gong fitting for the mouth piece, i can leave water in it and seal it up with some glass stoppers and put it in my bag and its ready to go.

I got the Hi SS stem tip method down now.
Its the packing of you re material you ve gotta get right just enough material in there so it wont fall out.....too much packing and you will restrict draw.I m sitting here like Gandalf enjoying...Its a valuable inclusion in Alans stems line up.
Alan Its thrifty and clever how you ve made you re stems work with interchangeable bowls for different experiences.the way all the bowls can be inserted and removed from their stems.Its like hitting a new vape every time .Me like.
the Mflight adapter works with the Hi too.Maybe w ere looking at the swiss army knife of Vapor extraction.

I like slow roasting a hot stem or two just as the moon pops out to play.Its been another great day
