So, do you guys prefer using your regular pieces or the hydratube with the cloud?

I've used the hydratube more then my other pieces so far. That may be partly due to the fact I didn't have an adapter at first. However, even after trying my other pieces, I still love the hydratube setup. It's great because it makes for a compact setup with an ease of use and effective delivery. It's also nice when your using it for a group session. Initially I didn't think I'd care to pick up another hydratube but upon use i'll most likely pick one up at one point or another.

First, I cannot tell you how happy it makes me (and the rest of the guys) to finally
see our baby out there in the hands of our customers. That said, I wish we could
ship more. And right now. No one wants to ship units more than I do. But we’re
doing a limited release for several reasons.
First and foremost, we are still ironing out the bugs in the manufacturing process.
Though the design is static, it is one thing for PN3K to build them by hand, and
another thing entirely to spin up a production line. Assembly processes must
be determined, documented and scaled. Q/A must be formalized, et cetera,
ad nauseum. PN3K spends every morning from 7:00 – 9:00 on site at the
manufacturer working with them before heading to his day job. We are getting very,
very close to releasing the proverbial hounds.
Another reason for the limited release is our support infrastructure. We had to
implement software to associate serial numbers to people and dates of sale. Why?
So warranty entitlements can be tracked (this is why we mandate that you register
– if we don’t have you in the system, we can’t honor a warranty). And do so in such
a way that doesn’t entail manual data entry. Because, once we begin shipping en
masse, everything must be automated or something will fall through the cracks.
Lastly, we’ve been finding back-up providers for our components. As a discrete
(versus process) manufacturer, we cannot afford to sole source components/sub-
assemblies unless there is no choice. Because were one of our vendors to go belly-
up, we would find ourselves in a very difficult position.
So yes, we are shipping units slowly (I think we sent 25 or so last week). But once
we get the above things sorted out (in weeks, not months) we’re going to step on
the gas. Hard. And those of you further down on the list will be hearing your names
called sooner than you might think.
So thank you, thank you, thank you. For your support, your feedback, and yes; even
your criticisms. This is as much your company as it is ours. You are the reason we
started this.

I watched the video again, and it is difficult to see, but the light is indeed on. It is green and visible slightly, just before he places the Cloud into the adapter on the SGW (at about 3 seconds in, around the gong nub sticking out of the Cloud)

I've been a VXC stalker for just over a month, and as a new, loyal vapor enthusiast, I can't tell you how excited I am to be on the list. I have a couple of nice vapes now, but they're merely a diversion while I wait for my VXC!!

Hi all - well it's been a week since the arrival of my Vertigo Cloud and I still can't get over how fantastic this device is. After having dialed it in at the recommended 12noon position for the first few days and getting deep lovely fog from this beast, I thought I would try the 9am position. (StickStones and VapingHole will be happy to know that I used some damn fine motherfuckin ice!)
After just two cool tasty hits, I was enjoying a crystal clear high unlike anything in recent memory. While the vapor was noticibly wispier than the 12 position, it was even more flavorful IMHO, and still filled the room with a light fog. Awesome.
Now I'm out of town for business this week, but my VXC is home taking a vacation after a week of heavy work, and I miss it so!
While I'm away and reflecting on things, a quick question or two has come to mind over the last week...
1). When done with my session, I generally turn the power off, and then remove the EZBowl from the VXC, usually by gingerly working my way around it and simultaneously lifting it from the VXC glass joint with my fingernail until it lifts freely. In doing so, it occured to me that perhaps I should wait a period of time to allow the snugly fitting EZB to cool in order to lift it with less resistance? Would waiting matter? Is there any best practice for this or am I overthinking it? (I'm just trying to be oh-so-careful to avoid any undue upward pressure to the glass joint while pulling out the EZB...)
2). Just wondering if anyone has come up with a great travel case for the VXC, the Hydratube, and an ELB or two?

Awesome to read another review! When I read the section I quoted above, I got thinking...IIRC a tool was created or thought up a while back (by SM55, VXL, etc), along the lines of the 'EZB removal tool'. I believe it was shaped like a credit card, with a cut out, and it slid in between the lip of the EZB and the glass joint, where Giant Robot talks about putting his fingernail to remove it.
I think there were pictures of it, but my searches turn up nothing relevant :/

Tomorrow I'll post a video showing a very technique utilizing a pokey tool (that most vaporist's own) and can be acquired at most head shops for less then 7$. The pokey tool works a perfect leverage tool to pop out fresh ez-bowls as they are stiff at fist and then overtime they learn to fit the cloud. This technique is best shown in a video so I will get it up tomorrow.

I have been using all of my glass in rotation (out of habit) but I must say that the SG gridded HT is an awesome type of difusion. I have been using this with friends because it is a perfect intro to what The Cloud does so well... You get a ton of great and subtle flavors that you may not have noticed before. I have been enjoying Mobius Nano too with ICE (motherfucking type of course)

So call me stupid, but is the "motherfucking ICE" something special or is it just . . . ice?
And assuming the latter, comments from other new Cloud owners? With other pieces at least, there's always the consideration of some condensation on the ice and vapor loss. I have a piece that holds 4-6 cubes, and that many noticeably dilutes the vapor. But the HT's look like ~2 cube pieces. I'm very curious about just how much this add/subtracts from the vaporization, i.e., with an HT do cubes noticeably add cooling?.

I have only used ice a couple of times with the Nano mostly and once with the HT. It makes it cooler on the inhale, but not because the vapor is hot, just because it is a nice, cool sensation and adds variety and functionality to pieces that accept ice. 
As someone else said, you have to always be adjusting the water levels, and dump a little water out as the ice melts, but it is not a big deal. Nor does it improve the experience to any great degree. It just adds another dimension to your toys.

Thanks, gents! I am, unfortunately, one of those with extra sensitivity to dryness and heat. I'll take any bonus I can get - so if the ice effectively adds even a small amount of cooling without any real sacrifice, that's great. I can't wait!
