Glycerine tubes

Has anyone ever compared prices on these things? Apparently rock stars like them, because there are many, many priced over $5,000 - I was amazed.

I bought a small one - this one http://lifesabervaporizer.com/lsv-glass/glycerin-cooling/lsv-vapor-tamer.html ordered Sunday after breaking stem in Arizer Solo and needing a 'pick-me-up' and it arrived early Wed. Works well. Maybe constricted a bit too much but that could be the vaporizer I'm using too. This lasts about 15 minutes, which works well with my Solo vaporizer that goes 12 min/session, so they each go back to charging/cooling station at end of sessions, ready for next session. The Solo and this go well together. Not sure how well it would work on e.g Extreme-Q or the like, since this is a small glycerine tube and it would thaw out too quickly for table-use.

With glycerine you may have to be cautious that you not use excess heat on it when cleaning. ISO seems to work fine. I have found on 2 occassions that humidity from my freezer causes condensed water to freeze, thus immobilizing the tube.

$5k dammmmm thats expensive. shit you can buy a freezer, an ass load of ice and a couple of good bongs and pound of herb and prolly have money left over.

The vapor tamer is good for the Solo, but I have decided the 'freezing water in the tubes so you can't use it" is sort of a pain; think I may move up to the larger size..

Dude, that is taking the piss. No relevance whatsoever to glycerine coils, one just happens to be in the background- you can see it there already. Don't even click this video unless you want to watch a boring video of some disgusting combustion, albeit in nice glass. This is just more spam rather than constructive FC content.

My apologies but that is a really well functioning glycerin coil attachment, exactly what the thread is about, and it is different from the ones shown. You don't have to click anything to see it, and if you did you would see some nice functioning glass in the Glass Section of the FC forum.

I am curious about using a vapor tamer/glycerin tube as a direct draw tube for my Cloud. Thoughts anyone? Perhaps the 7th floor tamer combined with a short mouth piece held with a keck.

...don't know about the cloud aspect (on waiting list)...but I have both the fatty tamer and the saturn tamer...both are good, but the saturn is really something...I use them on a ssv/lsv...haven't tried them on a solo...hmmmm...
