I remember reading back over a hundred pages ago or so about mixing essential oils with wax in order to prolong aromatherapy effects. anyone hear have any experience with this? what type of wax did you use and do you melt it into the cup or just scrape some off into it?

trying this now.. I just shaved-off half of the aromatherapy cups worth of unscented wax from a votive candle with my little swiss army keychain blade. I dropped about 5 or 6 drops of "Exotic" home fragrance oil by The Body Shop. The only other scent I have is called "Deep Sleep" also from the same company. Hopefully I can get around to getting some other oils to try, but these ones do smell real nice.thepope said:

I have finally assembled my Pandora kit yesterday. This is the first time ever that I use any kind of vaporizer.
My impression is that I get more stoned but the high is different, more relaxing. There is one thing that bothers me. When I vape, I feel that the vapors irritate my throat/ bronchi. The irritation is present during the hit and afterwards. The first thing that I felt this morning is that my bronchi are irritated. This feeling is very bothering because I do not experience this feeling when I combust. I shoved a short peace of cigarette filter into the PD vapor tube's exit, but this didn't help much.
Why is this happening? Can this be because of the vapors not being cool enough or maybe because the vapor is dry?

Some people that are sensitive to this, especially those that smoke cigs, have had the same reaction. Personally, I've never had an issue with it, but here are a few solutions.fail said:
Have a cup of water, or tea, or any liquid close by and sip on that before you take a hit. The added moisture in your mouth will help.

Hi Fail! I'll 2nd Lwien's suggestion of sipping a drink before you take hits. That does help.
Another thing that can help in my opinion is to allow some air to enter the vapor path at the corners of your mouth. You don't need a complete liplock and allowing some cool air in can help cool the vapor.
Of course adding some tubing could easily cool vapor down also. Congrats on the building of your Pandora kit

Oooooooo no smoke told me that exotics are in the future and I had to catch up to see for myself. Now I'm for sure gonna buy one. I couldn't justify havin two cherries. Can't wait to here more about that.

Umm, thought I jumped into the wrong thread. Well an update on other woods. They are going to be a Pandora Kit option. And available later today. Limited supplies. The normal Purple-Days Original will still be the American Cherry wood, available in Purple Leather bottom or dark chocolate Paisley Leather. With or with out the original logo laser etched. (available when the wait list is eliminated)
The 'new' woods arrived today and I took a few minutes to open them up and see what I got. Woot ! Today is Opening Day and sorta fits that the Ash wood, used by Louisville Slugger to make MLB ballbats would arrive today. A home run ! Nice. And since I own an American Standard Strat in Alder wood, well those blocks are extra cool. Black Walnut is always nice, this stuff isn't the figured burl and flame stuff I had, but is very nice and it is dark, for those that want a darker wood.
Alder has a lot of scrap, but I will keep the price the same. It is special to me and others.

Hello everyone, I'm new to vaping, just got a LB about one month ago. It's great, but I seem to get more throat irritation than with a pipe. I have been interested in a PD mainly because of this forum and am wondering if anyone has used an aqua vape with a PD. A bubbler is another option but I'm not sure that would provide enough cooling. The size of a bong makes that impractical for my situation. My main concern is cooling of the vapors to decrease throat irritation and ease/simplicity of the cooling apparatus. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Regarding storage devices, I just received a few SpaceCase storage containers. One that holds an eighth, and the other two that hold a gram each. Love them. Beautifully machined, totally impervious to light and they're airtight and they won't break. I really like 'em.

Those Space Cases sound nice.
I think light protection is important to storage.
Humidity control and cycling of material (volume) are important.
I have used those ceramic disks for humidification and dessication for as long as I have been using. Dad was a pipe smoker... saw him 'handle' his tobacco, figured he knew something. Didn't move to dark glass till later, but looking back his storage chamber was dark green glass. There are probably things to be learned from tobacco handlers, even if their stuff is a poison we should all avoid.
ps. wooty woot woot. Clear Dome sent us a couple of fabulous pieces of glass for our PDs.
Pammy I totally thrilled with her Lilly design piece. It is tooo neat-o. And Mine is really cool with a great mouthpiece design and great earthy colors...
But how do they work?
Fantastic. The length is great and the heat is dissipated and you can get all you want and more. !!! These are better than I ever hoped. And you gotta know that glass is cool.

ps. I was down at the Laser Man's shop today. We are working closely together
and we are all are getting to know each other better. His shop foreman and I see eye to eye. They will be a long term ally. Nice to keep work in the community.
