Cannabis : My Experience - INTERACTIVE DOCUMENTARY

BrianPedd

Brian
Hello everyone, I am Brian and I make cool YouTube videos.

I decided to create a mini-documentary on my personal experience with Medical Cannabis. In it I discuss my personal story of using Cannabis. I share the health benefits I have received and why I continue to use it to this day. I also discuss how I actually use it, telling about my experience with pipes, bongs, and now the Magic-Flight Launch Box. All done in an entertaining and informative way.

At the end of the video I teach you how to make "Magic" Chai Tea Lattes and interview a friend about the benefits of using a vaporizer.

You can view the full video here:
Cannabis : My Experience

I put a lot of love into this video and thank you for watching and sharing with your friends and for showing it some love.

Thank you very much everyone for the support! I really appreciate it. I was a little hesitant to post a video like this, but after searching YouTube for similar videos and not finding any, I decided I had to do it.

I hope it helps people realize that yes, you can be a productive, healthy, and creative stoner. It has helped me more than I can ever express.

Thanks for sharing,
-Brian

BrianPedd,
Brian, I think you made an excellent video that will serve as as a valuable tool in changing peoples' minds about cannabis. Great editing and articulate narration = professional polish.

However, one thing you should mention to Tanya is that vaporizers and water pipes are not mutually exclusive. Many vaporizers work excellently with water pipes, as you'll find in the Glass area of this forum. In the video, she sort of implies that vaporizers are an alternative to water pipes, when in fact, vaporization is simply an alternative to smoking.

Thank you very much for the comment, I really appreciate it. I just made this for fun, but wanted to make sure it appeared well done. I just want to show the world it is possible to enjoy your favorite herb and still be a creative, healthy, productive member of society.

I am new to Vaporizers, that's why I made sure to have someone else (tanya) be the expert on it. I just learned you can now hook up a MFLB to a water pipe. Thank you for clearing that up for me. I plan to make similar videos on the subject in the future and will make sure to clear that up and try it myself.

Thanks again for commenting and educating me on that. I love this site and am happy I found it.

Keep in touch,
-Brian

BrianPedd,
No problem, Brian. I can assure that this site is THE source for vapor-related information. Many of the most frequent posters own/have owned *dozens* of vapes. Spend much time here, and I have a feeling that you'll want to explore the world beyond the MFLB (which is considered a relatively light-hitter... many vapes are much more powerful, and are therefore more easily able to convert longtime smokers).

Hey Brian -

You've done a great job at showing how responsible, healthy cannabis use can compliment life.

Your video helps to dispel the typical stoner cliche lifestyle we've all come to see and hear about way to often.

We need more of that.

Thanks

Hello Brian and welcome to FC! Let me just say that I thoroughly enjoyed your video. The presentation was amazing and it was very engaging. You have quite the skill with film making, and hope to see more of your work on a larger scale in the future. I have to thank you for putting yourself out there like that, I know that can be hard but so much good and understanding will come from it. I have a few people in my life that can learn a lot about Marijuana from this video, and it's presented in such a non-threatening and relaxed manner that they might actually listen.

Hope you stick around and share some more videos.

I do have to say though, that the vapor snob in me cringes at the sight of all those Chinese kock-off vapes behind Tanya. :( It's vapes like those that turn people off from vaping before they can experience a higher quality vaporizer. It's ok though, seems like most headshops only carry Chinese vapes :/

OKcomputer, PieceFrog & aesthyrian,

Thank you all very much for taking the time to respond with such encouring and helpful responses.

OKcomputer: I have learned so much already from this site, ever since your first comment I have been excited to find my "at home" vape, the MFLB is perfect for a guy on the go such as myself. Do you have any recommendations for a vaporizer noob such as myself? Somewhere in the more affordable arrange under $500 (they don't pay Cannabis documentarians what they should haha). I would love to have one on my desk to enjoy while I edit videos. Thanks again for enlightening me :)

PieceFrog: I am so happy to hear responses like these. That is exactly why I made it. I had to overcome my own fear of "turning into a stoner" if I enjoyed Cannabis everyday, so I finally put it to the test 4 months ago and I have never been more creative and excited about life. I feel like I owe it to all alternative ways of healing to share my story. There are just too many lies out there. This video may help balance it out. Thank you for the love and for sharing with your friends.

Not sure if anyone has seen The Botany of Desire documentary (PBS doc which is available on Netflix) but it talks about how plants control us humans to promote their genetic code. Like Cannabis creating it's awesome qualities so that we humans will plant more them and help them proliferate. I feel like this is exactly what's happening to me, and all I am doing is giving back to the plant that has helped me so much.

aesthyria: Thank you for the warm welcome, I am stoked to be here. I am really grateful that you and others are enjoying it. I have been creating short "documentaries" on YouTube for the last year now and have just been kind of teaching myself and learning from watching many documentaries on TopDocumentaryFilms.com I am excited to turn this into a series. Next vid will be Creating Videos : My Experience. It's cool because I am not trying to teach, just trying to share my honest story. I did have a lot of people telling me it was a bad idea to say I enjoy Cannabis to the entire world, blah blah blah. But I feel like it's my duty to get the word out, and there's not much out there like this. I wanted to be totally genuine and just tell my story, I know there are others who I have went through the same thing.

I hope it will at least show people who have not been helped by this amazing plant that it's not some scary drug, it may just be what saves the world in the end :)

I would love any input on what Vaporizer to purchase next. I love my MFLB because of its portability and ease of use but would love to have one for my editing bay (bedroom haha) I don't make any $ off my vids so can you recommend anything on the more affordable side?

Thanks again everyone! Thanks for sharing the video.

-Brian

nice video man! I think you are going to like this forum if you havent been lurking for very long before joining us :)

weedemon,
Brian, the good news is that with a budget of $500, you'll be able to afford just about every single vape discussed on this forum with the exception of the Volcano, which many FC users agree is not the "best" vape despite its $600 price tag. At the top end of your budget is the VapeXhale Cloud (VXC), a brand new vape that just started shipping. It costs $449 and comes with glass filtration, and beta testers/current users say that it marks a revolutionary step in vaporizer technology. The only problem with the Cloud is that VapeXhale has a looong pre-order list, meaning it could be several months before you receive a unit if you order now. Check the Cloud thread for the latest info.

As far as a personal recommendation, I recently purchased and am thoroughly enjoying the HI. It's a very small log vape that packs a serious punch in terms of big hits (or smaller hits if you dial down the temperature) and complete herb extraction. Alan (the inventor) offers an enormous variety of roasting tube combinations made of glass, poly and wood, making the experience highly customizable. Stickstones, one of the forum's most active members and a Cloud beta tester, recently said that he thinks of his HI as a "mini Cloud." The HI starts at just $140, but you can expect a full kit (exotic wood, variable power supply, and 2-3 custom tubes) to cost closer to $200 - still well within your budget. Again, the HI thread has the latest info.

I'm not sure of the exact warranty details on the Cloud (although I'm sure it's quite good). However, I find the warranty on the HI to be excellent - if you break it, you pay for the repair yourself. If the unit fails on its own (cracks, stops heating up, etc.), Alan will cover it at his expense *for life*. That's a huge benefit, in my opinion, and basically guarantees you a functional vaporizer as long as you take care of it and Alan stays in business.

As you look around the site, you'll find that the vast majority of the vapes discussed here are available for well under $300.
