Hey All! Sorry to be gone so long. It has been wild over here. We sold out of the initial batch and just put a new batch online.

Mephisto - Please email me directly @ info@gentlemansvapes.com - so we can sort it out. We will gladly send you the correct one and store credit for our mistake.

Want to let you guys know that about 5 people from the initial order were given a wrong adapter BUT, replacements were immediately sent. I promise you it is not bullshit - if any of those people are here, I'd love for them to post. This was very few of the people affected. But again if anything does come up - for anyone, please feel free to contact me directly on here or via email.

Thanks for all the really nice comments everyone and support! Cant believe these sold out so fast! Another set of 25 stainless, 25 black have been added to the site here:
http://gentlemansvapes.com/collections/luxury-vapor-pens/products/double-agent-kit

Also a few people have address that the 10$ flat rate shipping is a little nuts if ordering only thread adapters and I agree... so I am adjusting the site very shortly to allow them to ship for $2. For now I lowered all shipping on the site to $6 - which is essentially just the cost of a small flat rate box.

Also one last thing - I know a lot of people have emailed in the last day or two, especially from this site. I just want you to know, we havent ignored them - we're just in the middle of setting up one of those 'live support' / ticket system things on our website - and in the meantime, going through the emails one by one writing detailing responses :p

thanks again guys. ill be back as soon as possible with more updates. thanks again everyone for the really positive response!

Hello Julie,
I sent you a mail about a week ago with more or less the same issue cause an international shipping was 20 dolar for two adapters that were only 5 dolar each. But i had no response. Now i tryed to see if it was fix but i can not make my purchaise cause some thing has changed and when i try to checkout it gets me to a google page
Can you tell me how much would be international shipping and where i can find the chat in your page?

Thank you for your time.

i told you already. right before the unit died, i ripped it at 4.2v and got a lung busting hit. coughed my ass off. then after a full charge i hit it on 3.7V, twice as long, and it wasnt near as big of a rip. this tells me that the rip got just before the battery died was indeed at a higher voltage than the fully charged 3.7V hit.

i suppose promise was not a good choice of words but i stand by my observation.

Thanks, I got it the first time. Which is what I commented on, I think? I'm sure your subjective observations (and let's be honest, that's all they are) are real enough and you're sincere but what you suggests goes against all my training and experience in it's conclusion.

Science needs verifiable and repeatable observations to base conclusions on where I come from. Until then we're all making guesses, some more educated than others no doubt.

When a curious guy with the right gear and know how gets involved we'll all know I guess?

Thanks.

sorry if my last reply came off rude. that was not my intention. and your totally right. my observations are indeed subjective. im sure there is some degradation in power as the battery drains and for whatever reasons i did not notice it. maybe its because its the first time ive had to charge it? new battery characteristics?

i will be keeping close tabs on this battery and will continue to share results when applicable.

Hey, no worries, but thank you very much for saying so. All too rare these days.

Everyone has off days, but it should really be about ideas not people doncha think?

And if it wasn't an interesting and important topic we'd no doubt not care.....I think we want to know and understand the tools we use. Please do keep making observations and reporting them? It's how collective knowledge gets built....I'm told.

Thanks again,

Hey Chucho the chat feature is at the bottom right of the website. We can definitely ship internationally in fact, for everyone to know - we did add a $2 thread shipping feature, because they are so lightweight, thats really about all the postage we need to ship most places - also I've gotten a few comments saying "isnt that just a 'so and so to so and so' adapter?" the answer is no. The adapter may or may not exist somewhere for some reason, but most that people suggest dont really actually work very well. This part was made FOR US specifically - like our widow maker cartridges (they have a looser filament wrap than traditional cartomizers for letting thick oil laden VG blends move through.)

As for the Glycerin - it is hehe, not bio waste I assure you, it is US Pharmacopeia grade - the highest quality you can possibly purchase. It is FDA approved, food grade, and even Kosher. Also you must note, unlike anyone else, we do offer very very light FDA approved food grade add-ins upon request. this is not to 'flavor it' but rather to create the no-odor cartridge by offsetting certain oil/strain smells. $25 is merely for a pint, as it is a small packaged amount - obviously purchases of more can be discounted - especially for MMJ patients that are re-creating cartridges to dispense to their local co-op or collective.

that is kinda the idea here for us: provide everything that someone - NOT IN san francisco or Los angeles, where there is no trouble finding these - can make their own cartridges and hopefully be reimbursed / able to provide them to their local club for patients as well. For us making a margin on products isnt as important as this: providing a PLATFORM on which people all around can do their own thing.

If they believe their specific oil or wax is amazing - hell, it probably is - share it with those who prefer to vape something softer on their lungs. Remember that these types of products in general are not there to replace water pipes or skillets - they offer fantastic discretion, consistant intake results, and best of all are ideal for those with illness or disease that requires MMJ but simply do not like the idea of smoking, etc.

So that someone in Oregon or Colorado doesnt have to visit SF or scramble around the web to try to make heads or tails of how to bring this idea/ tech to his town, or he doesnt require his local shop to make a big wholesale deal with some company to carry something. he or she can buy them himself for a very low price, make them, and distribute it themselves. we want to give that power to regular people, not hoard it and profit from it.

In the coming days we will add a ton of accessories, chargers etc, with RX threading that will go for about $3-10 max, so you wont have to pay $20 for a USB cable that you lost anymore. those days are over.

Also we have a pen coming really soon - the detonator. that you will LOVE. also multifunctional and able to take on various cartridges - this tiny tiny sidekick is completely HAND MADE in the USA - everyone, out of aircraft grade aluminum. They are warrantied for LIFE, and allow you to use removable, rechargeable batteries in it. Hell, itll even let you convert a AA battery with a casing and use that as well. but dont - mother earth wont like it :p That starter will also be well under the $100 mark. This thing simply will NEVER die or break on you. they are handbuilt to last. and yes, they use the same "pick your battery to pick your voltage" as those BIG BATTERY pens you see. but a fraction of the size, fraction of the cost.

The revolution is meant to use with 6v power, not 3.7-4.2. It won't get hot enough with out a stronger voltage. If these guys release the higher voltage device they talked about before, it might work. The rev uses 510 threading.

Hey all. About the Rev - we have 2 upcoming high voltage devices. one is the one I just mentioned. This will operate normally at 3.7v, but will let you put batteries in to change the voltage up to 6v.

The other pen we have coming out - also using the 510/ego threading - the Torch, is a straight 7.4 Volt pen - so anything designed for 6v etc, absolutely rips on it.

Hey PS quick update about the double agents - the online preorders (with bonuses etc) - there are only about 15 left in each color. Just dont want anyone to miss out again on the web special!!!

Hey! Web special is a little different than the version sold in stores - it includes a lot of extra goodies. Extra thread adapters (both kinds 510-rx rx-510), multiple mouth tips (stainless steel and derlin to not transfer heat), and of course... lifetime warranty, which is standard for Gentlemans'

Chucho! Awesome chatting with you! glad to get those thread adapters over to you :)

Thanks!

I just ran square into the same issue, so I dropped the order. Until this Google privacy BS is sorted out, I'm not interested in being forced to use them.....I guess you'd say I'd rather do without?

Agree Fully! I just put up a payment gateway right now, so no one needs to use google checkout. this was the only option on our site for a while, as it is a new site ! but im happy to say we can do normal merchant transactions now too!
OF i totally feel you on google - it took me so long to finally decide on making a checkout account. its honestly a little silly how intense they make a simple transaction :-/

This is an outfit being coy with who they're going to 'share' your clandestinely collected personal shopping information with? I wonder how many folks really want their name and address information linked to vape and similar purchases for sale to the highest bidder? No, make that anyone who wants to pay for it? Or hack into it.

For a while, I think I'll avoid that link.....if I can....

i ordered the thread adapter and ended up paying the $10 shipping fee.
gentlemen's vape was kind enough to refund my $10, which i then used
to pre-order their vape. i used google checkout and just left a message.
my thread adapter is not working with my omicron carts, which was the specific
reason for purchase. one end will thread onto my 510 battery and the other will thread
with either the 2nd adapter in the set, or a KR808 battery. why i would need to thread 2 batteries together i will never know. the female end of the 2nd adapter won't thread on anything.
i saw earlier in this thread that someone else was having problems with these working and i am wondering if it's the same issue and if i can get a replacement?
it feels like the threading is the same, but it's not tight enough to hold in place?

EDIT:
Just got an email informing me of a new thread unlocker coming my way as well as a full refund. so far customer service is excellent. We will see how the product works and review when i get it.

Bob Loblaw,
Just want to say, THANK GOD FOR GENTLEMAN'S BRAND! I have been using my DA since I got it a few weeks back. Works like a charm at 4.2v on my Omicron carts. The thread adapters work just fine, although they seem like they are too lose. Once I just screwed em down, they actually attach quite well. I don't know if a part of the threads are stripped or something, but regardless, the *ish just works!

I would really love to compare another RX thread to the one I received, but hey no biggie. I'm going to put together a nice little review on my site to spread the word.

So Julie, THE DETONATOR and THE TORCH... I need that info :) I want both for sure and would love to do reviews on my site when they are available.

I think one thing that would help is if the adapters had some sort of mark on them that would indicate which they were when they come in the box, but outside of that...no complaints.

i dont think your using the right adapter still. ive got that same adapter and the female threads on the adapter seem more course than the male threads on my Omi carts. i also think the diameter on that adapter is slightly larger. when screwing it in there is all kinds of play until you bottom out. when screwed in all the way it does hold it on there, but im quite certain that these threads do not match. if you look closely the Omi cart and adapter dont sit perfectly flush. i see a wedge gap in there.

i too contacted Julie and am awaiting the correct thread adapter. i also have another adapter that appears to be the same diameter as my Omi carts, but the thread is much more fine than the Omis male threads.

hopefully the correct adapter is on its way to my place. pics and video to come when i get the correct setup.

I was sent two originally that did not work, and then a third one later that does work. My omi carts rip so it fits man. Yes, I agree a little lose, but Julie already explained that is by design. Mine does screw all the way down. I think you just need to keep screwing it on. Works for me, stays on tight, rips like a champ. That said... If it is indeed the wrong one even though it is working fine, I would love to have the correct one.

Good luck dude and keep us posted!

what you said about how it went together sounded like the adapters i have. very loose until it bottoms out. this is not a thread match. matching threads do not have that much play in them. ive been working with the various screw threads for years and know them pretty well. the adapter i have that do what is described above are not a match. it may be working but not matching. if using them anyway keep tabs on its tightness often or else you may lose a cart.

of course my interpretation of your experience could be wrong.

Any timeframe on the detonator release??? Can't wait to drop the coin on one.
Still waiting on those "correct" adapters. Mine won't interface at all.....

The Vaped One
Browsing around the e-cig stores looking for atomizer tank combos that could hold a fair about of oil i came upon this tank system. http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/dual-coil-tanks-products.html the clear one looks a lot like the system the DA is shown with in pictures but did not come with it. Any use this unit before or know about it? I know the Tornado tank on the same site I linked can be used with oils being put in the cartridge but the oil has to be runny or it doesn't flow well and burns the cart out.

I hear you, and that very well could be. But based on the fact that it works 100%, is sturdy as crap at the junction (i can pull at it, etc and it doesn't come off), and the description from Julie talking to that very point (scroll up to the post on this page, post #180) where she says they built these adapters to be looser around the thread to let the oil drip, I'd say it works exactly as expected.

It def sucks that yours aren't working as you expect. Hopefully they will resolve your issue ASAP! They are really good about customer satisfaction.

BTW, what are ya smoking on if I may ask :)
