most of this inline is made with fire steelwool pull. the slide, inline diffuser and marble on top have hints of blue and green, made from a diffrent pull, also has honeycomb marble bridging the body and inline togeather

Or the, "I'm so excited... and I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it...", but that sounded really silly, coming out of my mouth (my wife/daughter disagree, however).

Today I had a MFLB Customer Service moment. I had the extreme pleasure of speaking with Allison (Ray's wife. Ray is the glass blower), three times and several emails. I intended buying a Travel Tube, then decided to add their small inline and after spending probably an hour on the phone with her and her/Ray (in the background) we all decided, by taking my wants/desires... plus my health issues and such into account... the 10" Travel Beaker, showerhead downstem 18/14mm and Small Inline Ash Catcher 18/14mm, would be perfect. While I won't have the payment until Wednesday, at the latest... she's already putting the order together. She's going to look for the flattest, most stable base, closest to 10" she can find. She's going to go over fit, finish and function of everything, before it leaves. I swear... I never felt like I was talking to someone, trying to sell something. She wanted me to have the best I could get, with what I had to spend and if that included her offering a discount, she didn't have to (10% off for multiple items). Don't know if the discount is policy, but it sure was nice finding out, my rig was going to be less than I thought. All this... for around $150.

I'm not worried about liking their glass. I know I like beakers (prefer tubes, but not a sticking point), I know I love showerheads and SSFG makes one of the best, I've seen on a downstem. I know I like inline ac's... My cheapass inline I have, smooths out a thick pull, like nothing else. Better than my 11-arm tree, which also fires exceptionally well. Plus, inlines have the cool factor on an add-on, IMO. People I really respect on the subject of glass, I haven't ever heard a complaint, about Soul Shine Family Glass. In fact, nothing but praise.

I've scoured the 'net to find the best quality pictures (I told Allison, to get new and clear pictures up). Maybe we should approach her, to do something like Amazon and have user submitted images. I'm going to make a picture box for this and do some real nice pics... Allison can have 'em, if she wants 'em. This is another of the kind of company I want to see succeed. They're established, but not yet well-known... except with the people that really know the blowers from the "art" they make. Ray does some really nice top dollar work in the $400-$800 range.

Here's some of the better stuff I found and I think does Ray's work justice.

Regular pic. This one, is just under 8". Mine will hopefully by about 2" bigger.

Comparison of Ehle ashcatcher and SSFG mini inline (I like mini better. I'm renaming it. :p)

SSFG Tube and Inline Perc

I'm hoping to have this rig within this week. I hope to have a full review, with pics and hopefully HD video. Going to try something new, for better vapor illustration (though vtac's flashlight is classic!)

I hope I can return the kindness shown me, with much good karma ($$$) for Ray and Allison. Genuine and deserving people.

YES! SUCCESS!

Money went thru today, Ray's making my Mini Inline today, though Allison said he might not have time to make the downstem today. She wants to ship it ASAP, but might have to wait until Thursday. I could tell, it disappointed her... me to, but I told her, only because it feels like Christmas! I haven't been this excited for a material thing, in quite some time (at least the last 3 years of my life). But, just talking with these people, you can tell Allison and Ray, REALLY want their customers to be happy. Not just to get paid. Hell, we spent another 1/2 hour on the phone talking about raising kids (theirs are younger than mine... so I got to chuckle at her expense... been there, done that). Remember Allison/Ray, if you're reading this. BOYZ R DUM!

So, even though its not in my possession yet, I am the PROUD owner of some REAL HQ glass from a notable artisan/blower. Anyone that disagrees with me, can bite my tush! ;)

Love this heady but functional SSFG "Doubler" and the video is just so fun to watch :-)
Can definitely see the percs firing very nicely

This is the video, that really made me start looking at SSFG as a real contender. Plus, its the video that REALLY made me want a Cloud to. Though, that may be a long time coming, at the $$$ they want for it.

Congrats on joining the HQ club BDV :D

Hopefully we won't be seeing you in the broken glass thread as much now ;)

I don't know WTF. Ever since I smashed my perc tube (intentional... fight with my wife, long story), I have been cursed. I @#$%ing knew I shouldn't have done it. The other glass heard and I'm being taught a lesson, in humility by @#$%ing glass. The beaker break was the last straw (well, the last really thin glass I have). Though, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. It was the piece, I literally kicked into the floor last week. Don't know how the crack happened, at the time, because I checked it out. I'm thinking the 18/18 downstem and the large inline perc might have something to do with it. It barely held them up. I think it was too much stress.

Using my Got Glass beaker, "RooR" 16 hole downstem, 2 hole dome perc, with the inline now. I have to place something under the inline to stop it from tipping over, but its got a sweet pull. I wasn't a big fan of inlines, until I started using them more. Oh yeah... and since I also broke (not all the way, yet) my 14mm whip adapter, I'm forced to use my 18mm adapters and only have the single 18/18 downstem. Its either this, or the massive 12" beaker (trust me... its @#$%ing big)... or my make-believe Hydrator. This Got Glass, is at least built like a tank. It should hold up, until I get my real glass.
