attempt to cough less....if u ever looked in the mirror after a coughing fit(non MJ related) you will see how much blood rushes to your eyes from the act of coughing itself. :ko:

nice tip man! totally makes sense!

that could partly explai that I almost never get red eyes, I never cough. altough in the beginning I did get red eyes often, and I learned to control my coughing pretty quick, only the first few times I coughed

i find vaping at a higher temperature causes MORE redness, vape at lower temperatures and see if that helps...

Not too sure where i heard/read it but that drinking a good amount of water before your sesh and hydrating during can help in terms of redness. For me, this used to work decently.. I just dont get red eyes anymore, not sure why but i cant complain.

I remember back in high school, me and a few other people used to take benedryl when eyedrops weren't available. It worked pretty well, but if you were having a few seshes a day you'd end up getting drowsy from so much DPH . I assume any other antihistimine would work just fine too

Interesting. Never thought that suppressing the histamine response would help counter the vasodilation from the cannabis. Must investigate.

Surprised nobody has mentioned shades.

Although wearing shades at night - is probably worse than having red eyes

I didn't know the drops, coughing, and dehydration can fuck up your eyes but now I know and will experiment! I hate people saying "WTF IS WRONG WITH YOUR EYES THEY ARE BLEEDING.. YOU LOOK LIKE THE DEVIL" etc

Do those work for redness as well as clear eyes or is it maninly dryness?

they are primarily for dry eye, but i find they work well for relieving the redness also. for me, my eyes dry out when i vape, and that causes alot of the redness, getting a little moisture in them helps alot.

+1 for Rohto V. You want to get the green one called "Cool." It will feel like a burst of icy wind in your eye when you first drop some in, but like Vapor Nation said they will incredibly well. I personally used Rohto daily for years and I don't recommend using them for that long. Your eyes will become dependent on them and when you stop, they will be redder than the devils dick for a week or two. Once that "withdrawal" period is over your eyes will stop getting so red when you vape. Drinking water will help as well.
haha Rohto's, the eye drops that make your eyes suspiciously white. I used to use them all the time and my friends could always tell because my eyes were "too white." I was a fan of the silver Arctic ones. I'll never forget the burn you get at first, we called them after toking mints for our eyes. I eventually built up a tolerance to the burn but watching people that rarely use them is funny, especially new users because they don't expect it.

that burn is why I never will use eyedrops.. I'm crosseyed(no lazy eye but always only look with 1 eye, unless I'm high in wich case I look with both), and in the past I've been to the eyedoctor/specialist for that a few times and I've gotten eyedrops a few times(to make my pupils expand), and I remember how bad that stung, so I will never use eyedrops

Most of red eye (not all) is cause by dryness. I use refresh drops, natural no additives. and they take care of most of the red eye.

wow, I never thought about the side effects of eye drops after constant use. I put them in almost daily but now I see that maybe I should try other methods...

You definitely want to consider stopping daily eye-drop use.

I used eye drops, mostly ClearEyes brand, almost every day for many, many months.
Often times, multiple times a day.
I also began using ClearEyes Redness Relief MAX, which was certainly a mistake.

I actually developed a seriously nasty eye-twitch. I'm talking eyelid moving every 2-4 seconds. I attribute this to the eye drops FOR SURE.

The more you use the drops, the more your eyes rely on them for moisture. One thing eyes do when they dry out...is twitch. I had to stop eye drops cold turkey for about 2 weeks before the twitching went away.

Since then I haven't used them once and I haven't had one single twitch.

I wish I had an alternative. I have Rheumatoid Disease, and it causes my eyes to be extremely dried out. My eye doctor said I need drops at least once a day or there could be eye damage. :(

I have been using eye drops daily for the past ~8 years and have yet to notice any side effects (knock on wood). As people have already mentioned, Rohto's are great

Lol at Rhotos, personally i think they are horrible! Its an eye opening experience, stings your eyes like a mofo, and "refreshens them" I have used them 4 times and its always the same deal, i don't get used to them. But like pandawok56 said, watching people that have never used them before is hilarious when your high. "Hey bro, try these eye-drops, they work really good" "WOOOOAAAHHHHH" Lmfao.

I don't use eye drops often, but when i do its visine, they are very mild. Im not afraid of some side effects, moderation is key.
