Vaporizers and Voice

I have made a thread about what vaporizer choose (Im new in the vaporizer world), I have not made a decision yet. I need to ask something very important: Vaporizers and Voice. Im choosing vaporizers over smoking because three important reasons: health, saving weed and Voice Care. Im studying music (guitar) and Im learning to sing (I scream mostly). I love to sing under the effect of cannabis but after smoking my throat is irritated and very dry (singing or not after smoking my voice loss tone). About vaporizing: How much Voice Care this method provides? Im considering to put a bong with water after the vaporizer. Do you think the voice would be safe using vaporizers There is some specific models that take better care of the voice vs others (right now Im inclined for the SSV)? any information about this is welcome. Im not smoking since some time because my voice got abused (after quit smoking after a week I recover power and tone). Im every time closer to buy my first vape but I want to be pretty sure Im choosing right for my situation. Thank you for the information. :)

As an individual who is in the world of 'voice work' I would be the first to suggest the transition to vaporization hands down. The only thing I can not stress enough is to have something to drink nearby when vaping. Vaping can be quite dry and irritating (post hit/exhale).

Not only does water filtration help with this, a nice glass of water nearby works wonders. :D

Yup, vapor is so smooth, but when taken in big amounts like when vape-bonging can be really dry and make you cough a bit. You will get used though, water filtration is a step in the right direction and like Beer said having something to drink in between puffs, is a blessing.

Thank you for the information. Its great to know. Do you think that some models of vaporizers can contribute more to a smoother vapor than others? I have read that direct draw vaporizers are more violent in the throat vs bag vaporizers. Do you think that with water filtration after the vaporizer path my throat will be safe without going irratated if I choose th SSV?

If you are looking at the SSV then toss in a water pipe adapter for less than $15 more and you'll have some smooth vapor. I wouldn't consider direct draw to be more violent necessarily, but the heated air that comes through with the vapor can tickle the throat some. I personally find that bag vapor isn't as flavorful when compared to direct draw. Regardless, you'll be happy you made the switch to vaporizing. Don't forget to save that ABV for making edibles later.

I have spent half of my singing career as a cannabis user, and there has been no negative effect on my voice from vaping. As AGBeer said, filtration is a great help and drinking lots of water is essential. The only negative thing I've noticed about using my voice immediately after vaping is the tendency toward cotton mouth so having water nearby is quite beneficial. Personally, I don't even use a filtration system because I can't afford to, but direct draws from the vape instead of smoke has kept my voice in working order, even in the operatic world! :)
