Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

OK I hear you Bag!
Though I personnally use daily my Omicron (and I can assure you I am not a little consumer^^) . Have used 3 carts for 3 different concentrates... Have been refilling them since then (1 month) when they seem to get empty...NEVER HAD A LEAK, nothing! My 2 x on the "1 time use cart" thing....

Yeah i feel im getting better at draw speeds which is helping cough
its amazing how little of a hit u take and the amount of cloud that comes out from gold
And for water attachment i just copy'd DUBC and worked great

Flavor is better with herb. concentrates just dont have that same flavor. if flavor is important get an herb vape like a solo or ExtremeQ, etc, etc.

me personally, I like NitroOG flavor wise. midler lemon than Pure Gold.

My favorite so far is real co2 supercritical extracted oil. It give big hit, no priming, great taste (more flavor than anything I have had before), and if I only load 1/2g at a time no leakes. It is hard to find real co2 oil. I think most that claim it don't really have it, so be carefull. It looks and smells different than any thing I have seem before.

I've loaded up ~10 concentrates so far, The best flavors have been (in order) Pure Gold, Yogi Diesel, and Fire OG. I realize the names may not mean a whole lot, but i i think there are two characteristics that the Yogi and the Fire OG share. This shared characteristic is a slightly orangish color with a pliable texture. Not too crumbly like some of the gold flake I've tried, and also not sticky to the touch. Both were 'stable' at room temp as well.

EDIT: i should say i'm fairly confident in that qualification of attributes. I typically only put 80% of a gram into a cartidge and put the rest in my drawer, so i've got 7 waxs sitting out in front of me right now to compare to eachother

Been sage gold flake and grape fruit gum both from CHAI In santa cruz insane tastes and both tested in 70-74%!

Pure Gold?? Best for flavor?? Come on... PG has literally no flavor. OK, a hint of fake citrus. IMO Pure Gold is over rated. I've also noticed, you can answer some peoples questions, but if it's not what they want to hear, they usually change the question.

I also get more throat and lung irritation from bho. bubble does not seem as bad. If I use the omicron for a few days in a row I get a cough. Smoother in a bong full of ice but still harsh. I wish I could try co2 in this to compare. Thc sci mentioned he does not even smoke bho. I can not wait for the herb cartridge with the possibility of bubble hash.

someone else mentioned that any vaporizer will make you cough. I do not agree with this. With my medical condition coughing brings me great pain this is why I vaporize. I rarely cough so when I do I take note. It is rare to find me without my volcano, vhw, mflb, or omicron in my hands

I find what the pure gold has going for it is a very clean flavor. Almost no feeling coming in, and leaves that hint of citrus in your mouth on the way out. Some dont like it, thats fine but i do

PG is definitely light on taste but its also light on smell which makes it the perfect go-to cart for stealth situations. I am more of an Indica man myself but there is no doubt that PG gets the job done and you are left with a very clear sativa like high.

PG certainly has its applications but you won't find me puffing on it all day. After 5PM I'm all about the budder. Loaded up a cart yesterday with 1g if Pineapple Budder and it's the tastiest strain I have loaded thus far. It tastes EXACTLY like the Pineapple Express that it was made from.

guys if the vapor is to strong, then please do shorter pulls, maybe this will help, it has helped a lot of people using the shorter smaller hits when it comes to coughing.

Bruno, curious about your success getting this oil/wax out of a plastic container. I have a couple half grams packaged this way and my first try yielded very little- I don't believe I was able to get the entire contents out and into my Omicron. It's retarded for collectives not to place the contents on wax paper or something because it sticks and you have to scrape, which causes loss, and if you freeze it then try to remove you lose in the form of "frozen" meds flying out of the little plastic container like shards of glass shattering. It really sucks and I'm disappointed.

What are you be doing to get all the contents out of those plastic containers?

As for the plastic containers, I have one of those skillet tools, they are really good for scraping and if your not rough, you don't scrape plastic. I've seen them online, just a line of different scraping/dabbing tools.

There's real CO2 wax here in San Diego but it is crazy expensive.

The only dispensary here that has it is kind of "under wraps" with the whole crackdown thing going on so they're no longer on any of the weedmaps websites.

Woot, it's about time we have a SJ get together / omi fest! This coming weekend is a 3 day for a lot of us since Monday is MLK day..

Glad people enjoyed the Blue Dream supermelt from Harborside SJ - I've tried about 10-12 concentrates in the omicron so far and the blue dream is one of the best in terms of flavor, effect, and ease of loading/priming! I'm nearly done with the 2nd gram of blue dream in the same cart, and it's going strong and hits great every time. The AOTA supermelt at harborside SJ is also really good, good flavor and smokes/primes very consistently. The strawberry cough "gold dust" from Elemental was probably one of the poorest in the omicron, although the raskal OG gold dust worked well with a little extra priming.. ymmv.

My pure Gold is starting to make crackling noise when i hit it
its still produces vapor but doesnt taste as good
theres nothing leaking from the bottom and i can get a nice pull of air through it when carts not attachment to battery so i cant see that its clogged?
this cart is brand new and has only had PG in it for one night


Kertong you say Harborside is one of the best places in Sj to get concentrates?

A couple quick adds. Zen OC in anaheim has a fuckton of CO2 oil. I've been tripping up from San Diego, because it's just such a cool spot. My favorite atm is the Blue Dream. Great Flavor, and hits like the PG. Their Skywalker Shatter glass is also pretty good.

I've got 4 running carts now. 3/4 pre-filled CO2 joints worked great. The fourth one, a purple crack... died on me at one point. Still weighs 10.8 something, I know there's some in it but can't find it. Even stuck that sucker in a vice and torched the shit out of it, hoping for some reclaim... got real smoky in here, but nothing came out. Hmm

That's the only real issue I've had with it so far. I think most people's problems are either figuring out their draw speed, or not letting the junk melt all the way down. Someone had also mentioned using a heating pad, which incidentally works really well. Wrapping the carts in a damp towel (upright ofc), then a heating pad and letting em steam for about an hour works wonders.

On a side note, does anyone have a 510 screw they wouldn't mind selling? I can get a gram of good meds for the same price as that 4pack of adapters and I only need the one.

@shenk: I wouldn't say the *best*, but as long as you stick only to their supermelts, I've had pretty good success! Elemental is also pretty good but only if you stick to their hash oils and waxes, their gold dust was good but took a lot more wrasslin' to get it to hit well. People on this forum locally in SJ also seem to really like MedEx, I've heard it's a little pricey but has a great selection with great quality. Might have to check it out someday...

Good news and bad news for those looking for preloaded carts in NorCal.

So I just got back from a run the Elemental in San Jose. Of special interest were two new (since yesterday) preloads, half grams of LA Confidential and Cheese Quake. These were listed at the 'too good to be true' price of $10 each, I expected to pay more. As expected, they were $22 when I got there, still a great price potentially.

I've bought preloads there before, they were a bit light. They ran 8.7 to about 9.0, still a good deal at $30. Based (I believe) on that they now load only half in a new cart at a reduced price.

The bad news is the new carts are still light, although they're half a gram less on average it seems. I got 8 (four of each), they run much closer, 8.150 to 8.250. Still, for $10 over the empty cart price they do have a preload of several tenths of oil that feeds well (if past preloads from them are an indication) with (claimed) high THC content and effect. I'm about to do a little testing, but suspect it will take a little time to do right.....

Anyway, if you're in the area you might consider it. They also had some nice Sour Diesel CO2 Wax (yes, tested Butane free......) at $35/gram. I've bought this in the past, and although the Budtender thought it might be from a different vendor (slightly different color and texture), she labeled it as 'dangerously hard hitting', an interesting challenge. That will have to wait a bit for testing, but I've every confidence.

Big things for the Omicron guys big things on the horizon. Wait for it in the next 2 months. Looks like herb cartridge for omicron prototypes where shipped out from my engineers in East coast past saturday.
