SD we are making two different versions. We never said they will be available, we said we are working on it.

for the Omicron thats a oil vape, to do a flower cart for it is hard, if we can get it to work we will do it.

Taking my Omicron to the casino's in South Lake Tahoe, I'll let you know the blackjack table stealthiness! It's working great at 41degrees outside.

Happy to know they are charged. Since I have two I decided to test it out. cart was loaded with some very sticky bho (0.8). I used a normal pic and mimicked cherry pie fill found in the wiki.

Defiantly not clogged and took quite a bit of slow sucking to get my first cloud. Had my roommate sucking on it as well. My assumption is since i didnt use a torch that the bho is slowly going down the cartridge further as we heat it. Which seemed true after much sucking of nothing, then not vapor but was getting some taste. I got my first good hit. My roommate did as well. We both did another round. I am going more the flute style and my roommates doing it like a blunt.

I let the unit cool down for 10 mins and had strong visible vapor after doing two six second draws with 2 secs apart. I did one last try of six seconds inhale and exhaled quickly. This had visible vapor.

I feel medicated.
Taste: love the taste. Taste how the bho smells.
I am curious to know if anyone will recognize the smell which seems minimal.
I am quite happy with my purchase so far. This seems efficient so far and stealth. I have a couple of friends that have been ecig people for 2+ years.

checked for leaks and none. I will be testing it in cold weather

Well, regardless of whether the flower carts work with the Omicron or not. and I kind of hate to be forced into "upgrading", but I will buy a Persei. Though not right away. I'll take my spot somewhere in the back of the line. On a side note, I tried to teach a fellow patient to use the Omi today. It was pathetic. I thought this guy was gonna blow out seals, oil, everything. He couldn't get it! Then I take it back and I'm blowing out clouds! I told him exactly how to pull on it. He just kept pulling with all his mite. I realized some people aren't gonna get it. Damn.

Interesting. Mine didn't come fully charged, the first took well over an hour IIRC. I let the second one run several hours (didn't watch).

No instructions from THC on the matter (and of course it's your call) but my new Kindle Fire, Apple cell phone, mp3 player and the Atmos unit I bought (what I think is the former model sold by THC?) all came with insructions to fully charge before use. I think all five are using the same battery type?

Then again, that which ends well ends well.

Hmmmm, might have missed that part in the manuals. We apologize.

I will have my guys right on it to change the manuals for it.

Amen.

Years back, a buddy brought a new GF to a Friday night, she blew into the water pipe! No idea why, but the results were spectacular. Blew burning weed all over the place then tried to put it out with the geyser of nasty water that followed. Instant confusion, or near instant, it wasn't the first bowl of the evening you know.

This points to a net.rule (or at least it should be) 'take advice from people you don't know about how stuff works with at least a grain of salt'. More would be better. When a guy says "XXX is a real POS" you've got to decide is it a tool or craftsman issue. Or both.

So then will the other projects you working on have flower support also, or will it just be the Persei? I have my eye on the Centauri, but if I can't do flowers with that particular model, then I guess I have to go with the larger Persei, unless you have another model that will support flowers.

The Centauri is for sure not going to have it, we might be able to do it, but you wont get many hits before it just dies out.

Makes good sense, it should be less able than the Omicron you'd think. And a lot more practical than the 2032 battery idea.....which I somehow like at a scary level. I actually poked at it a bit, fun idea but you're fighting a two ohm Ri issue so it's diminishing returns country for the few seconds you might have of life. Probably have to have 3 or so of 'em just to get 3.6 Volts out for even a few seconds?

Be fun to cobble one up (I've got a box of those cells somewhere.....) and see if it actually delivers any vapor, or as the Brits say "suck it and see".

Anyway, for it's intended ('compact') use I'm looking forward to it and will no doubt end up trying it on for size. Just another exciting future offering to daydream over.

Does that mean these things have a low battery indicator? nice!

EDIT: Well, a dead battery indicator at least... lol

Yup, sure does. It's covered on page 6 of the Omicron User Guide, which you can download under the "Attachments" tab at:
https://www.planetvape.ca/omicron-vaporizer-double-kit.html

You might also notice that today is the last day to order a backup set at an outstanding price, $115 (US) which includes shipping (which takes about a week) ......

Ya, when A battery stops working, that's a pretty clear indication that it's dead. If it is indeed rechargable, then this is also a clear indication to "recharge". :)

if the battery needs to be recharged the button will be flashing soon as you press it.

So how many grams can these cartridges take? I think I read they weigh 7.9 grams empty, what's the most someone has gotten theirs to?

10 - 11 grams?

They hold minimum 0.5g and maximum 1g.

So 1+7.9 = 8.9g Maximum
0.5+7.9 = 8.4g Minimum

Has anyone ever gone over or seen the cartridge get full? I think I have around two grams in one of my carts but I don't have a scale right now to verify...

Has anyone been successful signing up as a patient for Tetralabs? I'm thinking maybe they are on a holiday vacation, but they haven't replied to my application for a few days. I wanna load up on Pure Gold! Omicron heaven..

I haven't tried, but I have re-loaded a cartridge before it needed re-filling. I put another .5g of Silver Kush Wax (from Sparc) into a cartridge that probably had about .9g in it, and it started clogging a lot. The wax would spill out of the tube often while I took hits, until I used it enough to get it back down to normal concentrate levels.

This was only one attempt, so it could be a fluke. But I'm not trying again without someone else confirming success lol.

knock on wood, not a failure yet. my heaviest use cart prolly got topped off once a day with .5ish for almost 2 weeks....whats that 7 8 grams? have a feeling its more than that ....still works fine, but i am gonna chuck it when its done.

i have a plan if a g gets stuck tho...gonna put it in a clamp park my oil curve over it and heat it with a torch. i could prolly smoke a gram like that right?

Gentle Readers,

I think I've stumbled onto something useful I'd like to pass on. In my experiments with different concentrates I've ended up with a couple of 'em with chronic (minor) plugging. I'm sure others have it, it's been discussed, a mild 'pop' at the start clears the path for the hit. Only to again need a tiny pull to get the pop. Mild but annoying.

I've eliminated fouling above the vaporizing chamber. Using a sail maker's needle that has an 'eye' that barely fits the bore I'm able to scrape almost all the fouling out. Following up with a close fitting (.063 IIRC) brass pin gets it 'squeaky clean'. In both cases stops keep the tools from hitting the element. Still the minor 'pop plug' exists for a couple of oils (the thin ones I think?).

So I decided the plug must be below the heater, not above. I inverted the unit (nose down) and hit the button 5 or so seconds without draw. Enough I figured to get the plug to 'drop into the top' of the chamber (or onto the heater itself?). Worked a treat as the Brits say. It also worked on a second problem cart from my box of 'works in process', the only other one I had.

So if you have a similar issue, I suggest trying it. I sure intend to do so next time I see it. I'd appreciate hearing from folks that try if it worked for them or I need to hit the showers?

havent yet had a plug that wouldnt clear with heat and time. worst case i gotta prime it like 10 times, eventually it gets so hot i can barely hold it , but every bad plug has cleared within a minute (usually comes SPLAT into the groovy silicone tip)

I've found you can get a cartridge pretty much back to perfect by cleaning it with toilet paper. I take a single square, pull it in two so it's just one ply and then twist it from the corner so you have a really long skinny q-tip. If you're skillful you can get four out of a single ply. Get the cart warm, clean out the air tube above and below the heater until the paper comes out clean and it will act like new.

Hello forum members! I have the Omicron and it is pretty awesome.

Is there any company that can make a cart that is refillable and durable rather than these single use carts? Why is there no stainless steel cart that you just fill with concentrate and it does not need to be replaced? Is it an income stream thing for the manufacturers?

Thanks!
