That being said

Corinthians!

Brazilian soccer FTW!

I know I'm probably the only one who follows "futebol brasileiro", but it really is an exciting league.

Im a huge hockey and football fan. Bleed black and gold.

I'm also crazy into both fantasy hockey and football. Made a bunch of $$$ last year!

IMO there are few things better than sitting on the couch getting vaked while watching Redzone TV.

Superbowl prediction: Steelers (duh) vs Falcons or Packers (I want a rematch)

Stanley Cup prediction: Pens (if we can stay healthy) vs Detroit or Vancouver

I care about MLB until the Pirates shit the bed. At least they got me though July this year!

I could give a fuck less about the NBA. Even if we had a team in Pittsburgh I would still not give a shit. REAL basketball is at the collegiate level IMO

I'm European, that said, I don't follow any sport beside Snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding. Fuck soccer, here everyone jerk off when they see a ball rolling, I simply don't understand why it's so overrated.

2 days till kickoff. Go Big Blue! It's gonna be a great weekend! See you at the House.

You got any tickets already? I haven't gone to a game at the Big House in a couple of years, but from around age 17 to 27, went to at least one game a year. Diehard Lions and Pistons fan, a little more passive in baseball and hockey, but watch the heck out of the Red Wings in the playoffs and catch a lot of Tigers baseball on the radio when i can...

OK back to preseaon game 4 and a big pile of 4 way herb salad; Vortex, Kandy Kush x Skunk, Quirkle, and Apollo 13. VHW hot and water is fresh and cool. Cheers.

Another 4-0 preseason for the Lions. How many is that compared to actual +.500 regular seasons? I was a huge Piston fan (no pro ball where I'm from) until they let Big Ben walk without a fight. That nucleus should have won 3 championships. It was never the same after that. I have TONS of faith in Joe D to put together a team. I have little faith in the new management to assist him. Hopefully I'm wrong, but recent history would prove me otherwise.

Not a huge fan of short, white guys knocking each others teeth out in cold weather. I could have seen that in 1800's Ireland (but they called it boxing and not hockey back then). I guess I like watching overpaid, roided-out men of many colors raming each other at top speed. But for me, nothing beats an orange ball being thrown through a peach basket by "amateur" goliaths.

Preseason NFL without any starters...I went with the Wisconsin game.

4 way herb salad...I'll be over shortly :) Big fan of the local Apollo too. My favorites are Master Kush and Grannys Panties. Always like the Deez, but more a fan of the Super Silver for that effect.

cant wait to see how the lions do this year! they BEASTED through pre-season (which doesnt really mean anything in the NFL...). as long as they stay healthy & watch those little fucking penalties they always seem to get, they should do fairly well. (what detroiters have been saying for years, but those 2 factors seemed to really stop what would have been a successful season last year)...

but the individual players on the lions have incredible talent...

as for the pistons...hmm...LOTS of stuff to handle there...joe D is definitely the man, but its gonna be tough this year for sure. should have kept chauncey...things got worse after larry brown left us...we would have definitely got like 3 if coach brown stayed (and our other players). oh, how things would have been different if we only kept larry brown, got ben wallace to stay, (im not sure about the tayshaun prince/carmelo anthony debate since tayshaun has made so many important plays as a piston in the past), held on to chauncey, and NEVER drafted darko milcic...AND if lebron chose detroit instead of miami...but thats still close enough for ohio residents to throw rocks at him, i guess...

but who really knows...

im also a steelers fan, too (lived in pittsburgh for a few yrs - NA school district).

not too interested in baseball/hockey/golf. i only watch soccer during the world cup pretty much. i watch the finals of big tennis matches...id like to play a pickup game of australian rules football sometime in my life...looks like fun, but i dont get to really watch it...

curling!??!?! maybe i watch a few minutes every 4 years...

i wish ucla had a better football/basketball team the last few years...

Michigan vs Notre Dame, under the lights for the first time ever at the Big House...its gonna be a night to remember.

Followed by a full weekend of football? Good times.

I wish UCLA basketball had been better the last couple years too because even when KU beat you, you still drop our RPI ;)

I'm so glad football is back. I'm from Louisiana, ergo the Tigers and Saints are my boys.

I really hated all that turbulence in the off season, but loved how the Tigers still managed to come out swinging and open the season damn strong. The D-Line is sick, the secondary is nasty as all hell, O-Line is all hardened veterans with a stable of explosive backs busting through those gaps. And you know with Les Miles, the only thing you can reasonably expect is the unexpected. Oh yeah, one other thing you can expect is the Tigers to win the SEC and return to NCG in the Super Dome.

For real Sauce. The Lions D is amazing, Suh is the best in the league. Stafford, if healthy, it unstoppable with Johnson et al. IMO. Lions biggest problem...our division is a killer.

Kush- I hate conference realignment. It is destroying the regular season after all the BS in the offseason with OSU, AU, etc.

@KushLover Yes LSU is great. You guys mugged us really good down there in Texas. Ducks had another great day yesterday, they were supposed to, so now we head into regular conference play. I am not looking forward to playing against Andrew Luck down AT Stanford on Nov. 12. Last years game up here at Autzen was one of the best come back wins I have ever seen in person there, it was amazing to witness. Go Ducks!!!

T - do your eyes eventually adjust to those uniform colors if live in Oregon or do you actually have to go to the school? Painful. But not as painful as an NCAA investigation. Ok, that was really low. Had to get it in before Kansas, Kentucky, Duke and the rest of the NCAA basketball world in also under investigation. The NCAA needs to be scraped and just start over. The rulebook reads like tax law

EDIT: damn this question was going to be much more interesting before the eagles just scored as im typing this...

ok EDIT:

hahah...so PHILLY is up 24 to ATL 21...about 7:30 left in the 3rd quarter...still a lot of time left...what do you guys think? can ATL pull off an upset? theyre really close...?

@tree- We really appreciate our "uncle" Phil and are extremely grateful for all that he has done for Oregon universities, athletics programs, and so many other things as well. So having said that I am grateful for what we have I will say I do like some of the uniforms better than others. Some of the new stuff that seems to glow on the shoes I think is being tested. I saw video of LaMike being suited up in his custom Nike Pro Combat pad system it was pretty cool. So the uniforms . . . well I love them cause they keep things interesting and fun. :)

@sauce- So I guess we will be seeing you guys (UCLA) at the Pac 12 Conference Championship then? :/

All the conference talk is moot anyway IMO. The ACC has already made their first move with Pitt & Cuse. Tex and OU/OSU to the Pac. Yeah superconferences! Prepere for the end of college sports as we know them. I can even see ND having to jump with the Big10 for their own future. What should have happened last year will likely happen this week.

Also prepare to welcome some competition Oregon. Nike Phil meet OSU T.Boone...y'all billionaire donors play nice now :)

Yes . . . the superconferences . . . tree you are right, they are going to change the best game in the world, college football, and ruin it. As for the billionaire benefactors, like the toilets up in Uncle Phil's sky-box say: "Just do it!" The NCAA investigation is for some recruiting service we, and many other colleges, used. I don't think much will come of it but we will see.
