Underdog Log Vapes

I don't see what all the complaints about Silicone tubing come from... I use silicon tubing for my whip tubing (more flexible, doesn't really hold kinks from storage)

also, the suction thing is true... really does set it apart from other vapes

Isn't it funny stirring it & stuff though, could some one produce or point me to a closeup of a Dogbowl perhaps? Filled and empty if possible?

i dont stir, i hold the stem upside down tap the bottom with one of my fingers to loosen up the material. i then hold one end with my pointer and the other end with my thumb, give it a shake and im back off to the races. hope this helps.

I don't stir or even shake anymore. Just vape. It all comes out completely even colored anyway.

I don't stir too. There is no need if you load small with screen closer to the core. I actually have several bowls for different size of loadings. I use daily the max capacity 0.1 g bowl half way filled most of the time. On parties i use my max capacity 0,5 g bowl filled with 0.3-0,5 . I get numerous hits that way. I stir only if i packed tight.

I tried out the faulty PS this morning. There's some juice going through it because it made my Dog's core hot to the touch, but not hot enough to produce vapor. Strange. Anyway, I'll get those supplies out soon. A new one with a glass stem is on the way and I'm looking forward to that. How do yall like them, those that have them?

Love my glass stem, but I rarely use it thanks to my aqua vape. Definitely don't regret ordering it though. Very high quality and of course CUSTOM :)

Been REALLY busy lately but I hopefully will have some free time now. I think I posted this same mixing method a bit back. It really works great and I highly suggest it.

How is the suction of the silicon. I notice my bowls getting wider expecially if i forgot to remove the dog off it.I have two simple solutions. Put the bowl in the freezer for few days and it is shrinked again or just cut a fresh bowl.
Also check if the PS is loose to the slot . My was unpluggin very often and when it is semi unplugged it delivers less heat power and the jack is going hotter than when it is plugged right.

Good points Abysmal, I've seen the power cords do that too if they're not plugged in all the way. I've never put my stems in the freezer but regularly cut a new one every couple months to keep them fresh and nice.

The suction seems fine. I sent the power supplies off to Dave already so I'll wait and see once the new one comes. I've got a glass stem coming as well so I can compare. Making a new stem is a good idea, but I hope its not necessary.

Thanks for sending the power supplies back SirElton, being able to test a couple of dead and/or dying ones will hopefully give me some insight on the problems and help me find just the right one going forward.

I find that I don't really need to make new stems often but I end up swapping mine out every couple months when it starts to look grimy from excessive use. The glass stem I sent you already has a micro-bowl fitted to it, 1 spare micro-bowl and a 4 inch piece of tubing big enough to make 3-4 more bowls in the future so I think you're set for a while.. :brow:

Hakuna matata. I doubt the stems will be getting much use anyway once the glass comes. :) Hoping its tomorrow!

I have been thoroughly enjoying my latest arrivals, a pack of magnificently crafted underdog vaporizers.
Really enjoy the way Daves heater core lets air through quite freely and in turn the draw is a lot less restricted to the other log styles I have tried.

These vapes hit very hard for a log style vaporizer and that I put down to the drag free draw and the tight seal the silicone stems make around the heater core. The silicone is growing on me the more I use it.
A proper review to follow after some more extensive testing. :D :peace:

Glad to hear you're enjoying your pieces.. I'm pretty sure you're the first UD owner down-under. :)

Have fun with your extensive testing haha..

This is my favorite thing about the Underdog. The airflow is aces, much better than the RockZap I have. I love how I can pull really hard to get more vapor. Its the polar opposite of the RZ where pulling hard hindrances the vapor production. Two different heat core's, two different techniques. Enough love for both :)

Thanks guys.. always great to hear how and why you all appreciate the pieces and how they work!

I got your dead power supplies back the other day SirElton, thanks for that, hopefully they'll be able to help me find out what went wrong and find the perfect future power supply going forward.. :peace:

Hows everyone's dog doing? Stuck my head in the solo thread to see if any progress was made with some issues I had and I had to run and hide from all the hate in there. Back to my happy place.

All is happy around here.. at least as far as I can tell. :)

This place has been awfully quiet lately though, maybe cause everyone is all fogged up or maybe cause I've been working in the shop around the clock instead of here posting?

What have you been up to darkrom? You still thinking of sending me that carbon fiber to play with for you?

Yes I actually saw it today lol.

I need to get on that. I get paid tomorrow so assuming I feel better (each day is a little better) I'll mail that out. Can you email me your shipping info? I'll send more than enough. I figure maybe I can get some carbon fiber vape goodness instead of letting expensive fabric sit around.

I FINALLY get to use my Dog with a new power supply and glass stem today! Thanks for letting me know about the PS's, Dave. Have you tried them out to see what the problem is? If they work for you, then I need to hire Dr. House to diagnose why they keep failing for me.

Dave I'll try to get my carbon out today. It's a busy day for me but I don't want to keep putting this off.

Awesome SirElton.. hopefully your problems are at an end. I've been playing with the power supplies you sent back, one is completely dead and the other is intermittently dead.. I'm sure it has nothing to do with your house now.

Have a foggy weekend!

I've been trying out my new glass stem and I am blown away! This thing is awesome. I've never really had a problem with the standard silicone stems save a few minor annoyances, but decided a glass stem would be a good purchase. The glass feels great, and I absolutely love the flat mouth end. It is far more natural than the circular shaped ones which means far more comfortable. Overall, I'm pleased. :)

Glad you like it, I'll forward your compliments to my glass-master!
