But I could not find the answer.

I have a 2 month old MFLB. Lately, I have to push the battery in very hard to make it work. If I mash it, the contact whatever it is lights up orange.

I've tried multiple batteries (3), all with the same results.

I want to pull out the rubber washer, but figured I should ask first.

Thanks in advance to anybody who has an answer.

The rubber washer is a safe guard to make sure there is no contact with the battery unless intended. I took it out the first chance I got. Just make sure you are conscious that you MUST back the battery off or turn it over with intention. Took me a few scorched trenches to "Burn" it into my head.

Make sure to keep the washer! It's used in the waterpipe adapter.

Sometimes the metal where the battery makes contact with the box can get a little corroded. It might work better if you scrape off the surface with a flat head screwdriver until it's nice and shiny.

Well if there were two pushback rings in there, that would make sense, pull one or both out.. But you said you had it for two months, and didn't have a problem before?? That would lead me to think something else could be possibly wrong.

I thought it is a stainless steel.

In the tradition of public forums I will venture an opinion unimpeded by experience or knowledge. :o

I would look inside carefully for a mechanical blcokage. A single scrap of veg matter could do it.

By corroded I meant sometimes stuff can build up. Sorry, wrong choice of words.

Thanks for the helpful replies.

I contacted MFLB, and we determined it was just the indicator light. The unit still works. They told me this issue is not covered under the lifetime warranty.

Seems like BS to me, especially when their product has at least a 1000% markup. But hey, that's capitalism.

The LB has without question the best warranty possible. They will even replace units that have been damaged through user error. The light is not essential to the LB's function, it was added as a convenience. It was explained at the time that the light was not part of the warranty. It's the only thing aside from deliberate sabotage that isn't covered by the lifetime, no questions asked, unlimited warranty, and you call it BS?

If it has a limited warranty, which I now know that it does, then they need to call it a limited warranty.

The warranty is not as advertised, and thus it is pure, unadulterated, BS. Fine grade BS. It's probably even a good warranty, but it is still BS.

I called it an unlimited warranty, not them. The warranty is exactly as advertised. Magic-Flight has never said the warranty covered the light.

I believe any reasonable person would say that a warranty that replaces the product without question if it fails, even in the case of user error, is unlimited, but you are free to disagree and obviously do to the point of calling it BS. I will point out again that your unit has not failed.

Some people are impossible to satisfy.

It's called FUNCTIONAL warranty. So they apply it if your box doesn't function properly. Light doesn't impair it's function.

I knew somebody would eventually complain about the best warranty service there is on a vape. And if you want to talk about BS, let's discuss your ridiculous claim of a 1000% markup. On 2nd thought, it's not worth discussion.
