Da Buddha Review
I used my friends Da Buddha vaporizer last week and I was very impressed. Nice big clouds, very easy to use. He warned me about combusting with it but I didn't have any trouble. If you're looking for a vaporizer which gets the job done this would be the one. I actually have too low of a tolerance to really enjoy it, a couple of hits and I'm blasted. After using my flight box for a while the size of the clouds really blew me away. I want to try a silver surfer now because I heard it has a better angle to mate your wand with, but I didn't mind the way the Da Buddha works. Also, the hemp bag which comes with the vape is really nice and helps my friend lug this thing around. My friend goes through herb a lot faster than I do, though I guess thats a tradeoff for the big hits. Its kind of like a bong in that way, you get really high but burn up a lot too. I wouldn't buy one for myself but if big hits are your thing its a great vaporizer

polished medium SpaceCase grinder review:
Solid, heavy, sharp, precision tool. Only had it for a short period of time, but it feels like it will last forever. Its comparable in quality to the much smaller mini Cosmic I have used and much higher quality than a (mid-sized) cheap generic aluminum grinder I have used. The Cosmic is a bit small for my hands. This medium SpaceCase, on the other hand, is a bit bigger than I need/prefer, though it is an impressive chunk of metal. The cheapo 4-piece grinder is in-between those two in size, but I really prefer a 2-piece grinder, and the high-quality grinders are so much nicer to use.

i really had my eye on the space case, so i would like to submit my review of the SSV! i hope you dont consider this machine as being "over-reviewed" yet.
i tried to consider the factors that most people debate over when considering the purchase of one vaporizer over another (especially a consumer making their first-time vaporizer purchase). in my opinion, here is my short & concise review of the "silver surfer vaporizer", made by 7th floor:
price:
compared to the other 7th floor product, the silver surfer vaporizer (SSV) is the higher end model. it offers more customization options and a more focused heat point for a more interactive vape session. consider the SSV a "manual" or "stick-shift" system of vaporizers (as opposed to "automatic" style system vaporizers like Da Buddha - DBV), when being compared to basic car options. the SSV user has more control of the vape session.
ease of use:
this obviously becomes more easy as time spent vaporizing increases, but its not as easy to use as DBV from 7th floor. there are options to make it similar to the hands-free experience, however the SSV is a 2-handed vaporizer. one hand to hold the mouthpiece and the other to hold the "wand" to the heater.
risk of combustion:
if the user is not careful and keeps the same spot at the "heat focus point" for too long without stirring and with the heat too high, combustion may occur. the rate at which the user inhales the vapors can also increase or decrease heat and cause combustion.
length of power cords:
if this is a big deal to the user, the SSV has plenty of cord in order to reach inconvenient plugs. extension cords can also obviously aid in this department if it becomes an issue.
taste of vapors:
many people prefer the taste of vapors through the SSV compared to other whip type vaporizers. this is because of the "heat focus point" and how it is able to thoroughly draw the desired extracts out of its focus point. the wands can always be stirred to incorporate herbs from outside of this focus point to be exposed to the effects of the focus point until the wand is thoroughly a shade of brown (users have different preferences).
portability of vaporizer unit:
since there are customized cases available specifically for the silver surfer, it can be carried from place to place. however, if portability is a requirement, do not rely on this huge vaporizer. using this in the car can be very dangerous & uncomfortable due to the amount of attention it would take to operate and drive. also, you can pretty much count on one hand being occupied manipulating the wand when using this at all times unless you have a friend to do this task for you...but that person is better of driving you instead!
portability of vaporization:
since this device requires the use of the wand and whip, the length of your tubing will dictate how far you can be from the actual device in order to use it (with the hands free accessories only). for the default setup, the user can be as far away as their arm will allow them to reach the heating element.
noise level:
this device is very quiet. the only noises noticeable would be ones made by the user (for instance the clinking of the glass that this device is made of, a very faint "whoosh" when inhaling through the tube, and the "click" it makes to turn on and off).
how long should units be kept on:
there is a lot of different answers for this one. some people keep it on all day & only turn it off when they go to bed. many people turn it on & off if they are waiting more than 3 hours until their next session since it takes about 90 seconds to heat to its maximum level, which it can be then turned down to its desired level very quickly. it is probably unwise to leave it on 24/7 like a log vape because the ceramic heating stick is so exposed and can get very hot. it can be dangerously hot to touch most of the time when on.
availability of accessories/customization:
this is one of the most customizable vaporizers ever. the many glass pieces it uses can come in a variety of colors & the same for its body & base. there are even more customization options for functionality as well (hands free option, air freshener when used with essential oils/waxes, etc).
effect of usage:
many people love the effects from this machine.
*assumed overall popularity (my opinion, obviously...but unbiased for sure):
this is one of the more popular vaporizers on the market. i would say that the volcano is the only vaporizer that is more well known than the vaporizers made by 7th floor. resale value is quite decent for this vaporizer because there is always a demand for it.
warranty:
most come with a 3 year warranty. 7th floor is rumored to repair broken machines even after the warranty for a small fee. but these are, all-in-all, reliable machines.
maintenance cost after purchase:
the only thing that a frugal consumer would consider buying to maintain this machine is tubing, which can be fairly inexpensive. the user may also choose to just wash and reuse everything by themselves as well. washing materials can be as cheap as isopropyl alcohol (and salt, for tougher stains).
usability with concentrates:
many users do not use concentrates with this device. i am not even sure if there is a way to use concentrates only.

My submission for the space case:
I've had my space case for well over a year now and it is by far the best grinder I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The amount of awesomeness produced by the screen is great and the size is perfect. The only downside I have had is that the space-case pick that came with it poked a hole in my screen. It's been negligible but there has been little bits of greenery that has fallen through to the lower section. I personally don't mind this at all but other friends I know hate it.

One of the Launch Box's biggest strengths for me is that it doesn't use things like butane that other portables do. This is also a weakness though as I ended up finding that the batteries didn't last as long as I'd like. I felt myself always wanting a semi-fresh battery to vape with, so when I was on the go I'd bring all three included batteries with me just in case. It was a lot of extra stuff to carry in my pockets. Besides this, the unit is great. The little light inside to let you know the unit is working was also very helpful when I was just starting to use it. It doesn't produce much of a scent, so it's very low profile, and the visible vapor is subtle (not huge clouds), so that won't give you away as easily either. If one doesn't already have edibles, this thing is your best friend when going to a concert. The taste is exceptional as the vapor path is very short and shoots straight onto your tongue. It also works effectively in either native mode (no stem) or with the included glass stem. I prefer native mode for public events as it's that much less to conceal. To conclude, this thing is great for on the go, but I would invest in something bigger for home use if you aren't a patient individual. If you're a heavy hitter, stronger batteries (Powerex 2700s perhaps) may be a good investment to keep the good times rolling.

The pick should be stored in the bottom where it comes, or outside the unit but not in the mid section where the herb falls. Otherwise the screen is stainless steel and would require an excessive amount of force to tear through.

haha thats so funny...i was actually thinking that if i ever do get a 4pc space case, i was going to leave the pick above the mesh screen in the herb chamber. i thought that if i left it in the bottom, it would keep getting covered with dust & i would have to carefully remove the pollen before touching the pick! i guess that plan is out! i guess i will just take the pick out of the case & leave it somewhere else...

I agree my preference is to store it in the mid section and I did for years (I only use wax now) without any problem. I think its when you shake it with the pick in the mid section it could get wedged between the two. I never shook mine or had it tumbling closed in a bag etc so that's probably why I never had the problem. But ya I didn't like it getting covered with crystals either so Id recommend keeping it separate from the grinder.

once again, i tried to consider the factors that a consumer may consider before purchasing any vaporizer. in my opinion, here is my short & concise review of the:
"HMK Titanium Skillet Vapor Swing with Curve"
price:
compared to the other Titanium Swings i have seen, this seems to be a very competitive price - others are known to be much more expensive.
ease of use:
many people may find this device easy to use, but some people may not know how to use it properly. the user must heat up the titanium (TI) plate, then swing it into position under the glass bell-shaped "vacuum", place some concentrate on the hot TI plate, and inhale the vapors that are emitted by the concentrates.
risk of combustion:
this area is a little controversial. it is all up to the user to judge when the TI pad is at the right temperature for vaporization. a skillet that is too hot may result in combustion. some people believe that vaporization occurs when there is little to no residue left on the TI pad after inhaling. combustion may be evidenced by black burn marks, a typical "smoke" smell, and stains that are difficult to remove.
angle of curve:
this device does not seem to have that full 180 degree curve that is most helpful. the reason that people consider the angle of the curve is because when oils/concentrates are placed on the hot pad, they tend to liquify and melt. the reason that the full 180 degree curve is preferred is because it will allow the TI pad to stay flat when swung into place, and oils are less likely to drip off a flat surface (parallel to the ground or table that the pipe is resting on). if the TI pad is used when it is not flat, the angle of the TI pad may cause concentrates to drip off of the pad and possibly make a mess. many youtube videos can be seen with many different styles and variations to this simple concept (hot TI pads).

since this device requires the use of a (water) pipe, the user must be in direct contact with a pipe in order to use the device. the TI skillet is as portable as the (water) pipe that it is connected to is.

this is a fairly quiet device. the only sounds that may be noticeable is the "whoosh" sound of the fuel torch and flame, any "clinking" of glass accessories (dabbers, dishes, etc.), the typical sound of air traveling through water pipes (if water is used), and you coughing your head off!

since the unit is powered by a flame, it is recommended that the flame is extinguished after the TI pad is at the desired temperature. if many people are using the device one-after-another, then the flame may be kept on to keep reheating the TI pad. the TI pad takes about a minute (user will gain experience with time) to get above the desired temperature.

this is a very customizable piece because it can be attached to almost any glass (water) pipe that has the correct ground glass connector size. also, ground glass connectors can be found for very cheap if one wants to convert a non-ground glass pipe to fit this device.

once users start vaporizing oils and concentrates, they seem to prefer it over any other method. if this is taken care of properly, the user can expect about 40% of their money back by selling it used.
warranty:
this is a very basic system that is sure to work if used as intended. glass can be very fragile, so unless there is a defect in the manufacture of the device, it is unlikely that this device will be covered by any kind of long term warranty.
maintenance cost after purchase:
since this piece is removable, it is quite cheap and easy to clean. the only other potential cost that may arise with using this device is fuel refills for your flame, which can be as cheap as a tank of propane or can of butane.
usability with plant matter:
many users do not use plant matter with this device. i am not even sure if there is an effective way to use plant matter only.
overall opinion:
if the user has a lot of oils/concentrates available to them, or they know how to make it themselves, then this is a GREAT investment - especially for this price. this can quickly become a users favorite method of vaporization and is VERY STRONG compared to other methods.

since this device requires the use of a (water) pipe, the user must be in direct contact with a pipe in order to use the device. the TI skillet is as portable as the (water) pipe that it is connected to is.
noise level:
this is a fairly quiet device. the only sounds that may be noticeable is the "whoosh" sound of the fuel torch and flame, any "clinking" of glass accessories (dabbers, dishes, etc.), the typical sound of air traveling through water pipes (if water is used), and you coughing your head off!
how long should flame be kept on:
since the unit is powered by a flame, it is recommended that the flame is extinguished after the TI pad is at the desired temperature. if many people are using the device one-after-another, then the flame may be kept on to keep reheating the TI pad. the TI pad takes about a minute (user will gain experience with time) to get above the desired temperature.
availability of accessories/customization:
this is a very customizable piece because it can be attached to almost any glass (water) pipe that has the correct ground glass connector size. also, ground glass connectors can be found for very cheap if one wants to convert a non-ground glass pipe to fit this device.
effect of usage:
many people agree that this packs a STRONG PUNCH.
*assumed overall popularity (my opinion, obviously...but unbiased for sure):
once users start vaporizing oils and concentrates, they seem to prefer it over any other method. if this is taken care of properly, the user can expect about 40% of their money back by selling it used.
warranty:
this is a very basic system that is sure to work if used as intended. glass can be very fragile, so unless there is a defect in the manufacture of the device, it is unlikely that this device will be covered by any kind of long term warranty.
maintenance cost after purchase:
since this piece is removable, it is quite cheap and easy to clean. the only other potential cost that may arise with using this device is fuel refills for your flame, which can be as cheap as a tank of propane or can of butane.
usability with plant matter:
many users do not use plant matter with this device. i am not even sure if there is an effective way to use plant matter only.
overall opinion:
if the user has a lot of oils/concentrates available to them, or they know how to make it themselves, then this is a GREAT investment - especially for this price. this can quickly become a users favorite method of vaporization and is VERY STRONG compared to other methods.

ESSENTIAL VAPE review
the essential vape is SUPER durable...some grinders that come in colors kind of lose that color over time...you gotta wonder where that paint ends up going. but the essential vape does not seem to lose any colors, chip, get scratches...i think there is something different about it & how it is colored. this vape is really awesome if you have at least like 15 or more vials so that you can load them up and clean them in batches & rotate the batches. its really not a huge deal to clean them individually either. just pour some iso in there and shake it up and pour it out. possibly a q-tip for harder stains. the glass vials stay super hot for about 2-3 minutes after you stop the flame, but its designed so that you can still put it down on the table while still keeping the vial upright and off of the table. if you ever need to clean it, you can just iso soak the whole thing & wash with water & dry. definitely VERY convenient for concentrates, but i wouldnt really rely on it for plant matter. there is also a ground glass version (different model) to hook it up to a water pipe to smooth out the vapors. if you torch it too much and dont pay attention, you can really get this thing to start combusting (smoking) instead of vaporizing. i called the space case (grinder) warehouse one time & the dude told me that they were affiliated with the essential vape somehow...i was very surprised by that info.
