You are blaming Randy because USPS tracking makes you unhappy? Pretty harsh.

USPS tracking is notoriously unreliable, and I have no idea why you think Randy could do anything about it. Your package could be anywhere in the system, including out for delivery. The one thing I would bet on is that your package is not where USPS tracking says it is. I've had packages in my hands that USPS tracking said hadn't left the dropoff point. Even if USPS tracking is correct and it sat for three days, how is that Randy's fault?

Can't blame this on Randy & PuffItUp. Once the USPS gets its hands on it good luck. A couple of months back I ordered a Solo. Kept an eye on tracking up to when it said it had been delivered. However, it wasn't delivered to me. Don't know where it wound up, but the USPS took no responsibility :"The Carrier indicated by scanning that the item was delivered..." :mad: And of course the vendor could/would do nothing as USPS "confirmed delivery". Can't fault him, just USPS.

i had teh same problem happen with USPS and san Jose.

it took 8-9 days to finally get to me but it sat in San Jose for liek 5 of those days.

It was probably something going on locally, cant blame randy for that!

its just how the world works!

This is a weird cycle that has bothered us for a while. USPS ships faster than any other service most of the time, but once or twice a year tracking stops updating on all packages, or strange item holds happen. This normally happens after 3 day weekends like this week was.

You can blame us! We choose the shipping provider and it is our job to make sure things arrive fast. USPS is still the best shipping service in my opinion, we are also looking into other methods as well.

If anyone here is a die hard ups, fedex, or usps (or other) fan it would be great to hear from you and why you like that service best.

Feel free to say whatever you want on here, we have worked with Planet Vape a few times and they always seem to be very customer focused.... I still think PuffItUp is better but I might be a little biased :D

I was personally effected by the UPS Christmas Delivery Mess & if I had a dollar for EVERY time FedEx has screwed up, I'd be ordering a solo right now! LOL To the point that I now ask specifically for USPS delivery if not specified by businesses. If they wont, I find it elsewhere to purchase.
USPS isn't perfect either & though tracking leaves much to be desired, it usually DOES arrive. in 1 piece!

Also, pakalolo...the sender must initiate a search & reimbursement for misplaced packages, not the receiver. I've never seen a case where when followed thru w/correct procedure, they haven't made good. so...there I dunno!

It likely IS the holiday that really screws things up! BUT wait & see how bad they'll get w/the fewer services they're threatening. Or better yet if they privatize it! :uhoh:

My Solo gong attachment should get here on Monday. I am going to post a review in the Solo thread once I have a chance to play with it. A proper gong fitting for the Solo is something that has been asked for by many.

MagicBartender: Thanks that is some good info. UPS and FedEx has their flaws just like USPS does. We are also working on "something" for international shipping that should cut the time in half. It would be great to see USPS become a private company, but I seriously doubt that will ever happen considering our politicians get unlimited free postage..... haha ill stop before we get into a government rant

Gonzo: Great I can't wait to see the review. The Solo needs a good water pipe attachment, my only concern is that the adapter might be brittle

When I am in Canada I refuse to order from any vendor who will not ship USPS. This is because of the notorious "brokerage fee" racket that UPS and FedEx use to rape you in the ass. For example, Animal Planet once sent me a free baseball cap in exchange for the use of a video clip. We don't charge a fee, so they were being nice. The declared value of the cap was $5.99. UPS charged $15 brokerage fees before they would release it. USPS & Canada Post have never tried to extort extra fees, and for me have always been reliable and reasonably fast. Forget tracking, though.

When I am on Maui I will use UPS or FedEx because packages shipped to Hawaii by USPS can take a long time. Some books I ordered from Oahu took three weeks to get to Maui. The last time I ordered something from California that shipped USPS it also took about three weeks. (This could be a Hawaiian problem, though.) I've never had that sort of delay from UPS or FedEx. Also, their tracking works, while in my experience USPS tracking doesn't.

You got that right. It's crazy not to let USPS be the shipper to Canada. It's faster and cheaper.

USPS is the better option (cheaper) for small lightweight packages. At two pounds it kind of evens out, price wise, unless you can get a 2 lb.+ shipment into a small USPS flat rate box. This flat rate box deal the PO has going can sometimes save you some money, but I find it confusing. Could be they planned it that way. :/

That reminds me of an interesting deal I get on a regular basis. A 32 lb. box (32 without the box actually) gets shipped from Oahu to me on the East coast for around $50, which is UPS ground rate. But it actually gets shipped 2 day air. So if I order on a Mon., sometimes as late as 4-6 PM (11 am- 1 pm their time), the shipment is sitting on my front porch when I get home on Wed. Nice huh?

pakalolo: Thanks I didn't know that about the UPS/FedEx fees. We used FedEx for a while because they do all the customs forms for you, but their shipping times were not the best. USPS priority seems to be the best option for most situations still. We spoil ourselves with coffee from www.kauaicoffee.com , they ship UPS and it takes two days, USPS priority seems to take longer to ship to the islands so there might be something there we need to look into. Sorry to hear about UPS and FedEx raping you, they should really do background checks on the drivers. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Thanks a lot Randy, Eric & everyone else at PIU, such a great service, I've received my parcel, very pleased with it & the freebies. It took 15 days to arrive which I was happy with considering I chose the standard USPS international shipping option - after searching a bit it seems 2 weeks is about the average delivery time for shipping here to the UK via USPS standard international if anyone's wondering, not sure if USPS Priority is any quicker. Also very impressed at the packaging too, it was very stealthy inside & out.

Might have to place another order with you guys for another glass elbow cause I've manged to pull one apart trying to get the short PVC tubing off, doh!

I am in the market for a new Vape and wanted to get the solo after all the reviews i heard, especially about the new M107. so i went to your site and saw the AIM window and asked. and the reply was:

Hey mmenzie good question. The Arizer solo does not have versions, the numbers on the solos are the time of production. We currently have production m-107, as far as we can tell they are the same as m-106, if anyone knows something we dont please jump in and correct me.

Also, after 6 years of being in business we have never refused an exchange. We are picky about the brands we sell because we want you to have the best vape experience possible, if you ever buy a vaporizer from us and don't like it we are more than happy to buy it back (:
