Who wears sunglasses all the time?

Most stoners I see around my town always have sunglasses on and usually even when they are indoors(shopping, bank, or whatever). I personnally never wear shades because I choose not to turn lifes beautiful colors into a shade of grey. If my eyes are red my eyes are red. I get anxious when I'm wearing shades like I'm missing out or the feeling like the days coming to an end. What do you guys think about shades, do you wear em all day?

I wear prescription sunglasses so yeah, sometimes they're the only glasses I have with me so I do wear them indoors at times. When you're outside, it really is healthier for your eyes to wear them IF it has UV protection.

i wish i could wear sunglasses
i think people who wear them look so dangerous, hehe

To be honest sunglasses inside only makes it more obvious someone's stoned. I mean what other reasons would you have for wearing them inside (other than the one lwien stated).

Yeah but Lwiens style usually look more like eyeglasses, while wearing ray bans inside and we KNOW your stoned!

I wear sunglasses basically all the time when im outside. My eyes have always been sensitive to light. Never indoors tho (except for at applebees the other day sitting by the window with no shade lol)

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes...

I never ever wear sunglasses. I moved back to LA recently from Portland, though, so I think I'm going to have to get a polarized pair to protect my eyes from this intense summer sun.

I wear sunglasses almost all of the time outside until dusk - outdoor light is almost physically painful to me. At the least it's harsh and jarring.
If it's a rainy cloudy day I can do without, but sometimes I do wear shades indoors but usually it's accidental - I just forget to take them off.
When I remove them I usually hang them off the tshirt neck line.
I like 70's vintage cool-ray polarized shades.
I also like these alot -

I prefer Aviators and Caravans, but I always take them off indoors or when talking to someone.

I feel that it's rude to speak to someone without direct eye contact, if possible.

A bunch of years ago I paired two songwriting friends together from different orbits - LS is experimental pop oriented, AM is crazy psychotic punk; both are known and respected. They both worship Brian Wilson so I thought there was common ground. LS told me it was an interesting meeting but it wasn't going to work out. He arrived at AM's attic apartment; AM had to let him in from the outside. They walked up the stairs, AM opened the apartment door which led into the kitchen. Lots of cockroaches on the floor. AM stomped his foot causing the roaches to scatter. They shook hands. No living room. From the kitchen into a little bedroom with a cot, a metal folding chair and a Man From Uncle trash can filled almost to the top with cigarettes butts. LS sat on the folding chair with an acoustic guitar facing the cot. AM laid on the cot with the blanket up to his neck, chain smoking, wearing Bausch and Lomb wraparound balarama shades, staring upwards, muttering about the dismal state of pop music.
Tim is right that avoiding direct eye contact is rude but that is AM's process.

I've been meaning to get some new prescription sunglasses but I get more blind every time I go for my optician check-up, and paying for normal glasses is expensive enough (~300 on my last purchase - a lot for a student to afford).

I really need a good pair though; when I go outside into bright light after having been inside for a while, I sneeze almost every time. What's up with being allergic to sunlight?! [Edit: Apparently I'm just like 18-35% of the population, see - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photic_sneeze_reflex ]

wilf789,
I wear sunglasses pretty much whenever I don't forget them! I'm very fair eyed and have really bad light tolerance - I'm getting crows feet from squinting into the sun all day, and a guy my age should not be concerned with that kind of shit.

Wilf, get your prescription glasses online! Just get your most recent prescription, look on a slickdeals type website for a good recommendation on a cheap glasses website, and go with them. I've gotten totally 100% fine quality prescription glasses for as little as like 20 bucks. Optometrists really bend people over on the their glasses mark up.

SE, awesome.

Nosferatu, im similar...i prefer to not darken the world at all. the only sunglasses ive worn that i actually liked how things looked was those "amber vision" style deals that basically makes everything semi-yellowy but in general higher contrast and brighter. but i dont have any now.

only time i wear sunglasses of any kind is if i have a pair laying around and im driving down the road into direct sunlight. way OT i bet but i watched an interesting documentary called Eat The Sun on the doc Channel, people who stare naked eyed at the sun. ive actually done that to a certain degree but no where near what he (and other sungazers) do. it does damage the eyes. i prefer to moongaze.

Btw I'm almost unable to drive without sunglasses, and since I'm blue-eyed and always work in dark rooms at computer, when I go out I always have a pair of sunglasses with me, I just cannot stand being always around with my face like I'm a fucktard because of the expressions I make when my eyes meet the sun.

Here in NYC I havent really lately, although I should because a lot of the time I do find my eyes to be pretty sensitive to good amounts of sunlight, which have been coming and going at this time.

I wouldnt wear them inside, because Im always the person pointing out others' sunglass wearing inside, like what have ya got to hide?

Woot! Love me some "Curb" - Ready for new season!

I am a sunglass whore! I have at least 3 pairs on hand at all times as I tend to be rough on my stuff. I can't do outside without them but I do try to remember to take them off indoors. Here in FL... we need shades lol.

I wear sunglasses most of the time because I have a real strong light sensitivity. The only time I take them off is when I work, because then I need to see true colors since my work involves a lot of color theory. When I do take them off I got to be mindful of where I look or I will be temporarily blinded by the bright lights I use at work.

sometimes I wish I could wear them, I do like the look(for example hyde in that 70's show), but wearing sunglasses makes me feel naesious, demotivated, slow, sleepy, dull etc
listening to slow music can have a similar effect on me(but then mostly the dull, slow and sleepy part), the naeseous part of wearing sunglasses is more like carsicness(to wich I'm also sensitive sometimes)

so I rather squint all day then wear sunglasses, even tough on every photo made of me on a sunny day in a sunny spot it looks like I have my eyes closed, and it can sometimes hurt a little on those muscles around my eyes

weird is that I do have a problem with the grayness/darkness of sun glasses(and tinted car windows are similar but then I can jusI have no problem with
and my nightsight is excellent, night is usually also my favorite part of the day

I get the cheap $5 imitation ray ban "senators" and break and lose them all the time. I used to think it was rude to wear sunglasses... what a fool I was to think that... It is actually bad to not protect your eyes from the suns UV light.
