Arizer Solo

If you think there is something wrong with the heating aspects of your SS solo then go ahead and e-mail that video to Kevin at Arizer and see if it helps your case. I know he can't wait for your next e-mail :p

I just did a side by side warm of of my two unit until they reached 7 and the heating light went off. My ceramic was only 5 seconds behind the SS model. But once again, battery life will be different for every solo and that will play a role in the heating.

I watched Vapenstone's video twice. The second time I "played along at home" and turned my solo on at the same time to see what would happen. To the second it warmed up at the same rate as his ceramic model (mine is ceramic M103).

I think his SS solo either has a defect, or there was some major programming changes in addition to the SS bowl (and 5-degree adjustment on levels as per Arizer). The SS just reached its max temp too quickly imo.

Oh I sent him another email with the video.;) I actually included vaplexus's video for comparison.:) I understand battery life and what not, but that should affect the heating points? Not to mention my ceramic is only at most 6 months old. I would assume the differences wouldn't be that drastic.

exactly!!! My ceramic unit is also a M103. I just think this might be a faulty unit? See what good observation skills can do vaplexus?? :ko: Now my "whining" doesn't seem so bad lol. I really hope thats the case because I absolutely love my solo and would like a better flowing one lol. I really really hope thats the case because my vid is extremely different than vaplexus's vid.

here is a video side by side for the solos. SS on the left Ceramic on the right. I mean from seeing this video I would have to say the temp settings are really really off!! Especially since that other guys video was waaaay different. Look how fast that SS heats up. I doubt its just that much quicker at reaching those temps. I am actually now thinking there is someone really wrong with my SS unit.

Did you not see my charts and video? I actually measured the ceramic and the SS temps in real time as they went through the settings. the SS crucible runs 20C cooler than the ceramic. I am using the SS on 6 right now and all i can feel is love for you, so it must work pretty good. ;)
yea but look at my video compared to yours? Your ceramic is only seconds behind your SS when my SS is basically done all the way to 7 before my ceramic reaches 4?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0mkjpm-gpk

yeah that makes sense because the SS heats up faster. so what. so it takes a different amount of time. they have different temp settings and different materials. as long as it stays consistent at a given setting thats all that matters for vape use. if you had the SS to begin with you'd not know there was any difference.

Whatever... I'm happy with my solos and accessories and customer service. hope you get yours sorted out to your liking or find a tape that works best for you.

Yea but what you still seem to not be getting the fact that my particular unit might be faulty and that might be the reason that I am causing a stink. Oh and your right, if I got this SS unit first I would have sold it a long long time ago because this as a first impression would have been ridiculous. I'm glad I had the first one to slightly compare it to(which is the reason my suspicion was raised in the first place) with the help of others comparing theirs as well to make my final conclusion. Now just sit there and be happy that you happen to get two great working solo's :)

According to my measurements the difference is the SS is 20C cooler at all temp settings.

Good! Then based on that my unit it faulty. Thanks. I'll even show them the measurements if that is ok?

Ok this is interesting: i am noticing that on my ceramic at 6 i am tasting combustion products. definitely on 7. where-as before this bowl i did one on the SS and it was fine right up to 7 - smooth tasting. i wonder if this is why they lowered the temp on the SS?

Is there any ash in your abv?

I didn't check. I moved the bowl over to the SS cranked to 7. no visible smoke/vapour and no burn taste. i think what i was exhaling with the ceramic was smoke! it seemed bluer than vapour too. not 100% sure so more experimentation is in order. not tonight though, i am at my limit for a school night.

I've never heard of any solos combusting before. Check your ABV to be sure. You would see it there.

It might just be the herb i'm using because this wasn't happening before. maybe the herb is reacting differently to the higher temps than others i've used in the solo. no worries, just drop the temp. i keep trying both the ceramic and SS and am not sure if i prefer one over the other... yet.

I can get my herb essentially black in my ceramic on 7, but I am 99% sure ive never combusted with the solo.

No ash in the ABV, and no bad combustion taste...

yea my ceramic on 5 gets it pretty dark brown so I can just imagine it on 7.

Hi Guys , been a while!!!!!

So let me get this straight the SS version has a decrease on all settings of 20c cooler at all temp settings. So how does this leave the people who need the higher temps for meds, i like the higher temps myself as i was heavily into combustion. I have the stainless version so if i am correct the new temp settings look like this

1: ( 30C)
2: (165C)
3: (170C)
4: (175C)
5: (180C)
6: (185C)
7: (190C)

this seems a little low to me so have i got this right.

Does anybody know if Amazon warrantees their products?

Also, are all of these vaporizers presently being sold as stainless steel?

Can the stainless steel and ceramic be interchanged? And if so where do you buy the interchangeable parts?

Thanks in advance
