Good work dorkus, would be great if an arizer rep was actually part of these forums. As Fuck combustion is really the only place for die hard vaporizer enthusiasts. It's comforting to know that they actually do stand by their product...
A product I am looking forward to trying shortly!
Cheers to all the awesome members of the forum for the interesting debate on the Arizer policies, not so much to the name callers. It really is great to get some of this info direct from Arizer and not just it's distributors, gives me more confidence that if an issue does arrise I won't be left with a faulty product and out of pocket!

Now on another note: More solo creating cloud of lovely vapor videos to tease us waiting for it to turn up in the post!!!

Freaking awesome! I now have had two bowls with non-ground weed and it's awesome! Still blowing the same clouds. I actually think there is slightly more flavor unground for some reason? I didn't have the flip issue. It seems you get just the same strength with unground as you do ground. Thank you thank you

Woot! My 250ml Ehle just came in & I felt like showing off:

minip1010549.jpg

Ain't it a lovely pair?

And another one with the 'old' 500ml for comparison:

minip1010551.jpg

Hash goes a lot better without a second screen btw, I'll try some without the layers of weed next time to get rid of the burnt taste.

Anyone came up with a good way to re-claim the resine from the Solo's stem without using ISO yet? I'm starting to develop a nice layer of honey already :brow:

ps: quick question: is ISO like rubbing alcohol with the added toxin, or is it safe to use for consumption as well?

I think rubbing alcohol is just a mix of iso and ethanol. But I might be wrong?

That sure is a nice piece of glass. Are there a time and place for the 500ml as well, or are you using that with your other vapes with the 250 being for the solo exclusively? Also, noticed no ice notches in your little one? Would this glass be better than say a bubbler for the solo?

I disagree that hash is better without a 2nd screen.. and if you don't use a 2nd screen or weed bed, prepare to muck up your heater bowl with melted hash.

I tried using whole bud instead of ground without a screen, and particulate came through so i'm only using this thing with screens. I also noticed one of my stems has much bigger holes than the other.

Anyone know why there is a 50degree setting (1)?

I originally bought the 500ml bend neck to go with my SSV. It's my first bit of quality glass and I wasn't sure which size to get back then so I got the bigger one because it seemed like a nice size at the time, which it is. It does make it a bit clumsy to handle sometimes (like in bed for instance), which was my main reason to get a smaller one as well. No ice notches this time because I've yet to use the 500ml with ice for the first time (never really felt a need for it so far) and also no carb hole. Reason for the latter is that a carb hole was convenient with the SSV whip attached, but doesn't feel necessary the way I use it with the Solo, and it gives me little more freedom in ways to hold it without a hole to cover.

Can't tell yet how much use the 500ml will get from now on as I'm still having to find out how much more (or less) convenient and pleasurable to use the 250 will be. Nor do I have a bubbler (yet) to compare it with. I really like these tubes myself, but I see no reason why they would work better then a nice bubbler tbh.

I figure it's safe to use without any bud because when I used it with a layer of weed on each side of my flake of hash I at one point noticed that I'd sucked the lower layer of weed out between the hash and the Solo and it didn't stick to it at all. So thanks for the warning, but I'll just be my stuborn self and go ahead & give it a try anyway
Do you get a lot of vapor with the 2 screen methode? I could only get a little tiny bit out of it myself that way, no matter how slow I breath or how high I set the Solo.

I think the 50 degree setting is just to keep it warm (to reduce re-warm up time perhaps?).

WatTyler: I honestly have no idea, that's why I asked

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to decide between the 100ml and 250ml myself as i'm wondering if the 12" 250 might be too big, which is what I thought of my vriptech watertool perk and like you said it was clumsy to use. I don't use ice anymore because the vapour condenses on it too much and the ice just melts too quick.

What technique do you use with the solo? Do you simply insert the tub in the downstem with the bowl pointed up and then use the solo like a lighter?

NOT safe for consumption. Rubbing alcohol can be ethyl or isopropyl, but if ethyl, it's denatured (toxic agent added) and therefore not safe to drink.

I've been test driving the 250ml for an hour or so now, and if size is a big concern to you I think it's probably best to go with the 100ml because it really isn't that much smaller than the 500 in terms of lenght. Its overal dimensions, lesser weight and the lack of carb hole does make it a bit easier to handle than my 500ml, but the differnce isn't as big as I hoped it would be. I'll probably end up buying a 100ml to complete my collection as well as soon as I can find a tube diameter (the wider tube of the 500ml feels a bit more comfy around my lips tbh, so I don't think I want a 100ml if they are a lot thinner then the 250). Just wished head-nature.com would sell them as well.

I basically use it as you describe. At first I had a piece of SSV tubing at the end of the Solo mouthpiece to make a nicer seal, but I didn't like having that piece of tube in my mouth when I used it without a bong so I tried it without the tubing and it works just as well (with a 14.4mm connection). When done hitting I just pull out the Solo and empty the bong with the downstem still in place.

Thanks Max. Does this mean ISO is also unsafe to use for re-claiming any resin, or do the toxins evaporate with the alcohol?

Thanks man! That helps tonnes.. how do you find the restrictive airflow with the bonging? With the 250ml does it take alot of effort and what kinda clouds does it produce? I'm wondering if it's gonna cause me a headache lol

i used this yesterday and today.
both mouth pieces fit loose so loose they spin.
charged up battery heats up to 6 for me in about 2 1/2 minutes.
real nice clouds but will go through weed.

my LBox is MUCH more efficient. i think the Extreme is too.
also weed falls out of stem alot.need some kind of elbow screen. to bad they cant put a extreme elbow on this.
The weed could only fall in the heater, which has 4 pinholes, tip it upside down or a quick blow in the chamber will clean it right out.no need to unscrew anything.

i will be returning this.though ill get the V tower, i dont uses bags
i have 7 days and will send it back tomorrow.
took a chance and got it for $219 from ebay. i would have worried about warranty later.

But this is a solidly built beast. 4 1/2 inch high 1 3/4 wide and 1 1/2 deep.
didn't weigh it.but is is solid
if the glass stem would fit tighter and the bud not falling out so much i would keep it.

Once the alcohol evaps, you're fine. I think most rubbing alcohol is isopropyl, and that's what I'd prefer to use. It'll tell you on the label.

Dude, the Solo must be doing its job and getting you wasted, cuz the Extreme isn't even close to efficient compared to this little bad boy. In fact, that is one of my praises, I use WAY less herb now! I used to grind gram upon gram and load that huge ass bowl up. If I used .05-.1g like I do now, even in the elbow, it would get nowhere close to the brown I can get it in the solo. and not even close vapor density either. I have now pretty much retired my 2pc spacecase because I just tear a tiny little nugget off a bud and put it in the stem. I don't need to lose a single trichrome and can enjoy it in as raw state as possible.

Not sure why your bud is falling out? You gotta be doing something wrong... i never have an issue. I have since got used to the looser tubes..great for ariflow.

On Friday I asked Jenny at Vaporizerforweed.net about the warranty being honored and the following was part of the response:

"just let me know if the time arises and we will get something worked out for you."

which is nice and hopefully I'll never have to find out how that goes. I tend to agree with many of the preceding comments and would think Arizer would be doing themselves much more harm than good by refusing to honor the warranty.

Hello from Canada eh!

Just wanted to post that i bought my arizer from vaporizerforweed.net . I also called about the warranty when my Arizer would not turn on.

I spoke with Amanda and she said there is a full one year warranty. I sent them my Arizer and within 48 hours they had sent me a replacement that was honestly brand new.

Works like a charm, not sure what the problme was with the first one but the service and warranty were great.

I'd recommend anybody buy from that site.

Until the next toke, good job and thanks everyone.

I hadn't even thought about air restriction until you mentioned it tbh. I guess it isn't noticable. But I chipped away a little bit of glass around the holes of my Solo stem when I'd just got it so mine may be an exeption to the rule. Easy fix if necessary though ;)

edit: the holes in my Solo stem are exactly 1,5mm in diameter. Just big enough so you can stick a SSV poker in them (which is what I used).

Bundy; start @ 4 instead of 6 next time, I'm sure a bowl will last you at least a little longer that way.

Max; thanks again! I thought you Americans used everclear for that way of reclaiming and we don't have a comparible product for that in my country, but I know what to look for now!

@al bundy, I'd play with it some more, I don't know what you're talking about 'weed falling out'. If you mean through the holes in the stem, do not grind your herbs at all, pop one solid nugget in there, and flip it after it starts to toke not so nice. If you want to use a fine grind, use a screen, many of us do. You get very nice thick hits this way, just cut a normal pipe screen and stick it in. If you mean the herbs are falling into the heating element, hold the vape upside down as you take the stem out, there's nowhere it can go inside it's a hot plate.

As far as efficiency you'll develop technique on how you hit it. My flightbox is actually on a very similar level of efficiency, just a slower speed of extraction. You can put like half a purple days stem in there with a screen and get the same hit you would of got out of the magic flight. It does micro hit nicely, and it tends to even fatten the hit up with some oil evaporating from hitting your bat almost empty. You can't reclaim the oil that settles inside your flightbox. The solo is also much easier to pass to someone else who'se never hit a vaporizer either as the draw speed is not as touchy. I sold my extreme after getting this, which is much better than a vtower. My flightbox usage has plummeted to just places I wouldn't want to take the solo on those days I decide I must toke out and about. The easy sippin on the solo is just so much easier than the yogic breath control of the magic flight.

I almost don't even need to start talking about the battery, portability and form factor when comparing to other vaporizers. The tokes and efficiency hold its own against most desktop vaporizers.

The one year warranty is provided by the dealer. Arizer's warranty is 2 yrs. This pretty much confirms (to me anyway) that this dealer isn't authorized. Otherwise they'd be advertising the 2 yr. warranty proided by Arizer. So you get a better price and sacrifice one year of the warranty. You also have to depend on the dealer staying in business for your one year of coverage. And I have no idea when this retailer set up shop. Also, if Arizer is able to cut off their supply, providing a replacement unit would become a problem.

"At Vaporizerfroweed.net we offer a one year warranty on all of our products. Warranty service for eligible repairs or replacement is available at no charge to the customer for twelve months from the date of original retail purchase (date of purchase)."

Oh hey, vape4life,

make sure you get the showerhead diffuser downstem with whatever Ehle you decide to get. It's so much nicer than the standard one. It's much quieter and gives you more control over the air speed.

I received my SOLO on Saturday and tried vaporbonging with it using extreme q silicone tubing attached to the end of the mouthpiece and the other end an extreme elbow into my bubbler. It did not go very well at all! The airflow was extremely restricted and was giving me a headache inhaling. I tried the vapor directly out of the mouthpiece, but the dry heat makes my throat hurt. Any suggestions? I'm guessing my glass stems need to have the 2 holes enlarged, but not sure if that will make much of a difference.

oh im still testing this.
and yes it does got me ripped!! :o
i use the little heater cover to hold tube steady.

i also use the screen it the mouth piece too.
also my mouth piece is like the others, one has more airflow than the other.

Kaptan, try using the solo stem directly into a 14mm downstem without any tubing. I hardly notice any restriction at all when I do this and the bongrips I get rival (and may actually exceed) my EQ.

Rubbing alcohol=iso=toxic to consume. Everclear/grain alcohol is an equally effective solvent but can be consumed safely in small quantities (grain alcohol is 190-195 proof, everclear is 150 proof).
