I can turn the unit off with no noise but no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to turn on silently.
Maybe I need a bit more practice!

Rockwise is hooking up the people that got billed extra fees by ups. Just email him direct and he will reply with some good stuff.

Great Scott!
You CAN disable all sounds completely. I forget how, but I did it. It's listed in the manual. Right now my only issues with this vape are based on the stem itself, which could easily be re-designed and replaced cheap.

JoeFinny broke his stem putting in a screen slightly too big and forcing. I still get small scooby snacks with my screen that is too small. I guess I just need goldylocks to come cut me a screen that is just right.

I give this vape itself a 9/10 so far, and the stems a 7/10. Overall VERY impressed. If I broke mine today, I'd be ordering a new one within 2 weeks. It is already my daily driver. I'm even considering selling my DBV now since I find the effects to be comparable.

To disable sound just turn on the device normally, when the blue LED is solid hold down the ^ button, i dont remember if it beeps or blinks to show you its disabled but that is how you disable all sound. As for breaking my stem:

Very disappointed, but again my fault. I will most likely purchase more stems as this vape is well worth the investment.

When you order more stems let me know! I want to order at least one. You got me all paranoid, plus I want to have at least one for "experimentation".

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Mine came with sounds disabled and I can't turn them on...don't want to, but odd that no matter what I try they are off. Also, "return to previous temp setting" doesn't work no matter what amount of time I hold the button. As they don't affect the basic function I'm not bothered...certainly not enough to send it back!

Would also be interested in extra diffuser stems, but haven't seen them anywhere. Or the 9v transformer to allow it to be used without the battery. Anybody know if, when, and where they might be available?

was supposed to be weeks ago, but still waiting. i still find it funny that arizer's very own website doesn't have the Solo yet and it's been out for a while now. It's almost like this thing was rushed to the market, since no replacement parts are available, no case or chinstrap offered

Just ordered my solo! Ended up ordering from fever. I was highly impressed that he reached out after the wrong UPC code debacle. I can't wait, I am happy that I have gotten so many tips for once it arrives. I was kind of holding off to see how the wispr is, but it is pretty clear to me at this point that o&g still have some issues to workout and I have lost faith that the wispr will be the drastic iolite improvement I am looking for...i hope i eat my words, but the solo gets my money for now!

Well at least they rushed to get theirs out on the market unlike another company that keeps promising delivery only to keep having to push it back and continue to lose customers to the INCREDIBLE SOLO device.

IF you are still on the fence about getting one of these things....hop of and make that order. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!! GUARANTEED. All I can say is it continues to impress.
Rockwise has been VERY SOLID with me after I got mine shipped via UPS because of that damm postal strike. I would recommend ordering from them HOWEVER make sure it's ordered Postal and you won't get that Rape charge by UPS. They sent me a "gift" to make up for the hassle and that was shipped out by canada post on Friday and it was waiting for me yesterday(tuesday). Thank you Kevin. If I've learned anything from this....it's NEVER SHIP UPS between countries...EVER!!! Oh that and Arizer had made a kick ass new portable vape called the SOLO.

I just bought the Solo from vaporizerforweed.net for $220 (259 with 15% off), free shipping. That is mad cheap for this thing, right? I've not seen it for less than 259 anywhere, so I hope I haven't been burned. A search for bad reviews of the site didn't turn up anything. All their other vapes seemed priced in line with the market. Does anyone know of this site? I hope for the best and can't wait to try this little bugger.

$220.99 delivered. Can't beat the price (not yet anyway). Don't know anything about the seller. They sell everything from top rated models to cheap clones. The 15% off (over $50) applies to even MF and the Volcano models, and I don't think this is OK with MF or S&B, but as long as they deliver....

Could someone please tell me how long a full bowl lasts? Also, how many hits one can take per minute? I would like to buy a vape as a present but it has to be able to get a couple people vaped without refilling the bowl. Thanks.

dipp, your questions are too subjective for good answers. Hits can vary A LOT in size and duration, from one person to another.

it has to be able to get a couple people vaped without refilling the bowl.
Again, it could depend on which two people you're talking about. I'd say that this is not good criteria for choosing a vape anyway. I haven't used this model, so I can't say from experience how long it takes to reload, but I wouldn't think it would be too long. Judging by someone I know and trust, this is the most satisfying portable you can find, hit wise. As long as you don't need stealth, it's a great portable. If you don't need portability, there are other excellent choices to explore.

Just got my Solo from useyourlungs.com

Just finished getting it fully charged. Looking forward to trying this guy out. I've been using an Iolite for over two years and its served me very well. From the reviews I'm dying to try this one.

I'd be interested in your opinion King Lou, as I'm on my 3rd yr with mine (pin-less & ground down chamber as she is), and have been relatively satisfied with the way my Iolite has worked for me.

I'm about to order the Solo myself, with hopes of having a positive & realistic experience, so I'd like to hear your view seeing your on the same plane.

Let me just say this vape surpasses the iolite in every way possible. I just sold my iolite immediately after purchasing the solo, and Ive been using the iolite roughly 2.5 years. If your on the fence about this BUY IT you will not be disappointed. Also can i ask how you lost your heat pin on the iolite? I used that for almost the same amount of time as you but never saw physical damage :D

I had cross-threaded the chamber side receptacle with the pin, so decided to just grind the receptacle down smooth with a dremel and use it without.

Not on the fence for a Solo, just waiting on money (accident benefits SUCK), that's difficult to save now a days to get here before I can order. My ONLY real hesitation is the lack of spare glass stems (I'm a klutz with Murphy on my shoulder), and even though I've seen mention of them becoming available, the anticipated timeframe to actually happening has passed without further mention.

Glad to hear another comparison to the two, ty.

Rockwise is carrying replacement glass stems for $9.95 FYI. The unit comes with 2 and so far so good with mine and they are fairly easy to clean with some iso alcohol.

This unit does continue to impress me as it seems to impress most every other person who has ever tried it based on what they are posting. It really is a welcome addition to the world of portable vapes and vapes in general. Tasty clouds keep a coming.

Ok, so I used it last night. Its VERY easy to use. I got the same place in the 12 minute cycle that it takes me about 20-25 mins in an iolite session. I'd say I was at [7] or [8]. Totally silent except for the end session beep. The draw is a little more difficult than the iolite. You're drawing through those two tiny holes. I also took peoples advice and cut pressed a screen into the stem. I still ened up with weed bits in my mouth occasionally. Upside is no butane, no butane aroma. Besides my concerns about having to pay $95 to possibly replace the battery every year or so this is a solid unit. I am looking forward to trying it again very soon.

Here's the thing. Due to the nature of the glass bits this thing isn't portable. I agree with what people have said about it perhaps not being classic "Portable" vape but rather a compact home unit you can use without being tied down to an outlet. I would be seriously nervous carrying the SOLO around to a movie or whatever. I know I would snap that stem somehow. That does seem to be a weak point in the system. Perhaps someone will make a glass bowl with replaceable breathing straws?

Let me finish by saying this thing kicked my ass on very little substance. Really a good vape.

Thks for responding KL, and for the update on spare stems AW.

I'll be ordering mine tonite (yay, my cheque finally showed up), as I'm due for replacement parts on the Iolite & rather just get a new vape anyways.

I'm not really looking for "portable" as much as small home stealthy since I don't have any real "man space" in my home to leave out or use larger devices. And the lost need of butane is a plus because why use it in a device when it can be used for extract, lol.

Hopefully down the road, someone will come up with a hydra tube attachment for the Solo like that of the Cloud as THAT would really grab my attention :) , as well as a GonG attachment to hook to my mini Ti bubbler.

I was looking around for those conical shape screens with hopes they might fit into the Solo, but guess I'll have to take a trip to the city & a few head shops to see what I can come up with.
