Any rival to Volcano in terms of vapor thickness/"milkiness"?

Hey guys,

Ive been out on the hunt for quite a bit now. I know nobody here is a huge fan of cano' fanboys, but I need to be a bit honest here. I've been using my volcano for 2+ years, and after owning an Iolite, Vapor Genie, Zephyr, Vapor Bros, and MFLB, i cannot seem to get as thick of vapor with any other vaporizer than the Volcano. Consistently i cannot even see through my volcano bag- but even with the Zephyr i cannot get these thick of bags. Ive had luck with my MFLB Vapor Bros, sometimes my VG, but nothing else really.

The Extreme Q has been a major choice of mine for a while, and after a lot of research, i'm really considering purchasing one. How would you guys rate the Extreme Q in comparison to the Volcano in vapor thickness? This I just need to know how it compares to the Volcano in these aspects.

Also, i know the MFLB will be a solution once i order+receive my AC Adapter. Until then.....

So, any suggestions/help?

Vapes which I own or have used which I feel deliver denser, and in most cases more flavorful vapor than the Volcano: Glass vapobowl, herbalaire, vapocane, Magickwand, glass vaporgenie top + magickwand bowl + waterpipe, probably one or two more. Of the ones I've not tried, the VXC looks to deliver truly dense vapor as well, and the Supreme is downright notorious for the clouds it produces.

Ya i do like the supreme, VHW, and VXC. I just don't have any good glass at the moment i could use it with, it decided to fight my floor and the floor won :/

I forgot to clarify, i'm mainly looking for a unit i could use by itself, not a vapo for a waterpipe at the moment.

Thanks Charlie, i'll look into those once i get some glass, but for now i need something that i can use by itself. Any ideas?

Yeah, sans glass is kind of tricky.

Some people have had spectacular results with their LSVs and the transfer wand, I remember a very glowing post from Nosferatu on the thread if I recall right. I don't have a wand yet so I can't speak on it. LSVs are a little pricy but there are a lot of big coupons and you can use it later with your waterpipes, and you can use the element itself as a lighter if that intrigues you.

Glass vaporgenie is pretty awesome, and down the road when you have glass you could buy a 10 dollar carbon fiber adapter type piece and vaporbong with the vaporgenie top. Pretty inexpensive, too.

Supreme -can- be used with a mouthpiece, I think people have said it's not even unpleasantly warm. Obviously not as cool as using it out of glass, but if a long term investment is what you're after then go for it.

There's a used MW up on the board right now for real cheap, I'm happy with mine and it definitely blows nice clouds with like 8.5/10 on the flavor scale.

Hey Jeff, I totally feel you on the Cano love, as it is a very reliable cloud producer.
I own or have owned many vapes, and about vapor density (which I am a big fan of!) I think the Cano rivals are these:

SSV for the whip
MW/VHW/VXC/LSV for the GonG
Oracle for the bags
Suprme/IV for direct draw etc...

Of course anyone could produce visible clouds with many other devices... I am talking about the vapos from which even a newb' will exhale big clouds on first sesh! Those "ex-smokers" vapes...

I also have not found the Volcano's equal for thick tasty vapor. But I keep looking.

- ssv makes thicker hits i think.

- vxc looks like it does too.

You might have better luck with the VG if you switch to a bent-arm mini-torch lighter.

It's already been said, but I'll chime in anyway (if all my thoughts had to be original, I'd do very little speaking )

For me the SSV beats the 'Cano hands down for thickness of vapor. My first vape was a volcano, but it wasn't until I'd already owned it for nearly 2 years and bought a SSV that I could totally kick combustion. ( I missed the 'thickness' feeling in the lungs and throat)

Don't know if the OP has tried one, and it wasn't even considered in the OP, but I'd recommend giving it a look if it's thick whip hit's you're after. And you'd still have the 'cano for bags.

I don't find my LB + PA comparable for big hits to be honest. I find that if I try to take a bit hit (such as a full vapor bong hit) with the LB it will end up blackening the load, unless I stop and shake mid hit. But then pausing with half a lungful really interferres with the flow. I guess my lungs are just too big and asking too much of the small quantity that is actually incontact with the heating screen at any one time.

I've used the cano quite a few times and must say I'm a fan of it's position in the vale market. only thing was when I was looking for a thick hitting vape, I wasn't looking to drop 500 so naturally I was looking for something that could deliver, yet wouldn't be quite that expensive so I settled for an SSV. I think the SSV is EASIlY comparable to the thick hits of the volcano. I almost think some people would be rather surprised at what this vape can do considering it is a whip vape.

Saw a lot of other good options in the posts above. I own a SSV so I kinda had to rep it haha.

I have tried the Volcano. I own an SSV. I personally prefer the SSV over the Cano. To me, volcano is a one trick pony and I'm just not a fan of bagged vapor. The SSV can deliver...it was my favorite heavy hitter before I met the Cloud lol.

Absolutely. Since filling a bag with vapor means pumping a steady stream of air through the bowl, vapor from a bag will never rival the hits, density wise, from a good, full sized whip vape like the SSV, unless you load extremely heavy with the bag vape, and extremely light with the SSV/whip model. So there are a lot of direct draw vapes that beat the 'cano (and all bag fillers) for high vapor to air ratio/vapor thickness.

I am a very happy user of the Extreme-Q vaporizer. First and foremost the answer to your question IMO is, YES INDEEDY !!!
Thanks to some advice I found here...205 degrees centigrade (that is the vaporizers temp type) with the bowl loaded about halfway to three-quarters gives up a nice thick cloud twice, sometimes three times and has never failed me yet.
I use the Q exclusively, I stopped combusting about 6 months ago and put down the MFLB a few weeks back. I actually get really ripped now with less wear and tear on my lungs.

Hope you do give the Extreme-Q a try, I think you will be INDEEDY pleasantly surprised.
