Hi Ace,

I'm real interested in this unit for concentrates. Just a couple Q's

Will you ship to the UK mainland?
Can you make one without the groove on the bottom third? Why is it there?

Thanks for your interest. The groove in the bottom third makes the unit easier to hold. Your ring finger naturally falls into the groove. It's really nice for folks that have trouble or pain gripping objects.

I have a lot of units to get out the door before I can go back and make a custom one. But certainly possible in the near future. I'd have to research shipping to UK.

I can say from experience ( I have wood products made by both of you in this room right now ) that both of you do a pretty damn good job. Do i see a future collaboration between the two of you? A vapor wand Ed style could match up pretty well with an Ace Vape.... Just sayin'

Not sure how bowl would work, but I was thinking a long vesion of Ed's custom bats or one hitters. They are brass lined on the inside I believe. Didn't mean to put Ed on the spot, and working out the bowl aspect would be tough. Would a thin glass wand sourounded with a protective wood cover be possible?

I know I've been looking at ordering a LSV wand or two to try with the EV-1, something like that could be neat. I don't know how coupling the 18mm GonG and a beautiful piece of hardwood would work, but I don't know if I could keep myself from ordering one or two if they came about.

Hm just now seeing this, my bats are brass lined with the wood outer sleeve. I am not really sure I follow you guys, are you thinking a vapor tube that would fit the Epic?

That's exactly what I was thinking. But just a thought and a dream. You both do nice work.

Any word on a 220v version of this vape? I like the look of it and would love an Aussie version if it were to become available

Sorry I don't have any plans for a 220v in the forseeable future. But that doesn't mean never.

Hey y'all
Over the weekend my Epic came. I wasn't a beta tester, just a very early purchaser. Had some hiccups with PayPal delaying the processing of the order, but I've had that when paying new vendors before. Andy was great getting it all straightened out.

First impressions - first off, I have to say (as is obvious from my vape list) I am not a whip-vape user. I have owned/still own quite a few older whip units, like an E-Z digital, Natural Goods Digital, and a Vapor Tower. But these days almost all my vaping is through glass. It was quite easy to cobble together a water pipe adapter for the Epic - just an 18 male to 18 male. Used the small cup-screens as a sort of bowl, as the adapter I have won't hold a screen inside it. I just fill the cup-screen and use the flat ones to cap them.

After 2 days, I LOVE this thing. It gives big, beautiful, yes, even Epic vap-bong hits. Better taste than many vapes that create comparable clouds, and more efficient than the ones (like the VHW) that make wonderfully tasty vapor. And for me one of the best things- I was able to take ABV that has been run through other vapes, and on Boost get additional big, tasty pulls from it. And I love how quick it can heat up. I haven't been able to use it at five minutes, but after 10 minutes on Boost it's ready to crank. And another impressive thing - it's one of the only vapes (along with the Arizer Solo) that all of my combusting friends like. They all like how it looks, how fast it gets going, and the taste and ease of pulls. A few are thinking about ordering one.

Only thing I don't like so far is how small I need to pack, because of the way my jury-rigged adapter works. Working on one with a larger bowl. It also works great without a water pipe or whip, just using the glass stems from my LSV.

Anyone know where to find an 18 male to 18 male that will take a screen in it, so I can pack it like the whip is packed for this?

Will post more later after a week or so using the Epic as my daily driver.

I've been using a short LSV stem in mine as well, after being unable to track down a ready-made 18mm male-to-male adapter, and the mouthpiece of the stem fits fine in my 18mm pipe. I've found I actually need to load heavier in the LSV stem than I do in the el-bowl to get the same vapor density. The efficiency is about the same, but my bowls have gone from being about 0.05g to 0.15g.

You should be able to find a power inverter for your car in just about any department store/electronics shop. I've got just a little self contained unit that runs my EV-1 just fine (the heat up time is a bit slower, though, I've noticed). It shouldn't put you out more than $20USD or so.

Got mine, not a lot of testing currently as i am about to go into work and might not be done till the early morning hours.

The fact that you can "fine-tune" the temp on the EV1 is huge IMO. I typically keep on the same temp for most vapes, the entire session. I dont like to adjust upward as the bowl gets used up as most vaporists do. once i dial the new EV1 into the perfect temp for me, it will likely be one of the if not the easiest vaporizers for me to use....... First impressions; a much more refined and finished product then the original. Like the style!

*edit. what is the wood bowl for?

I've tried the LSV stem that way, and it does work. Just a bit too long wit the normal one. I own a Shorty transfer want but cannot find it for the life of me. Haven't used the LSV is a very long time.

So far, every session with the Epic makes me like it more.
