hey guys,

So at 2:00 i have a big final exam. Worth 30% of my grade. I am studying and making sure Ii am familiar with all the material i needed to cover, but I have this issue where when I'm "killing time" just wanting to be in there right now writing the exam. My stomach starts to feel strange. It's a queasy nearly "upset stomach" type feeling (this happens to me basically whenever stress comes along). I wasn't gonna blaze because I don't want to make any silly mistakes when doing my calculations.

But this feeling sucks, so I vaped 2 lungfulls from my mflb and you know what? My stomach feels better now! I'm not ripped, but I can def feel a low level high going on.

Thanks marijuana

Does anyone else ever go though this? This type of use would not classify as an excuse for medicinal I would think? Oh how happy I would be if it was :D

what do you folks think?

Well, I don't vape at all before class or exams because it would just make me stupid. However, marijuana definately settles my stomach. I have been using it for this for years.

I don't know if what the medical marijuana laws are in Canada.

I use it to calm my stomach down all the time. Fiancee does as well. It's as effective at dealing with hangovers as anything else out there that I know of.

That type of use (as an anti emetic) would qualify as acceptable medical use in California....easily. In Canada, no; except if you are dealing with emesis from say chemotherapy or another illness. Good luck getting a doctor to sign with you though.

However, did you know that on April 13, 2011 ALL of the laws relating to medical marijuana, the access restrictions, growing AND possession were struck down as unconstitutional. Any government that forms on May 2nd will have to address the shortfalls in this medical program. So sayeth the Ontario Supreme Court.

Bottom line; you know it's medical, I know it's medical, and so do thousands of other people. Good luck.

I have upper digestive issues that really fuck with me when i first wake up. stomach growls but hurts too much for me to want to eat anything. i vape and <30mins later i feel like eating something and then everythings OK. Otherwise i have to wait about 4-5 hours for it to pass on its own before i feel like eating.

I've had ulcers and stomach issues for a few years now, and vaping cannabis is the only thing that gives me any relief.

I suffer from a similar problem. Whenever I have an important exam or performance I get a strange stomach pain that is somewhat similar to being nauseous. It seems to come along with nerves and stress, and I medicate to treat it when I can. But I could never vape before a performance, so the pain has to be tolerated. I'm also a Canadian resident that has attempted to get a referral for medicinal cannabis because of chronic stomach pain and was denied. Hopefully that will change though.

I also have had an ulcer and stomach issues most of my life. MJ has always helped with that. Vaping has made it healthier to ingest. There are specific strains that are good for appetite. I would imagine that they would help with stomach problems in general.

Add one to the number. Cannabis helps nausea like no other.
And if my stomach is acting all out of whack due to nerves - cannabis to the rescue again.

AGBeer,
I might have to try this since I have the same problem with exams/presentations. No matter how well I'm prepared, I still get stressed which leads to stomach cramps and nausea. I have a low tolerance so one or two hits on the LB might work fine.

I too use MJ to settle my stomach when necessary, realistically though I suppose my usage tends to be preventative in this regard. My GF leans on vapors consistently for stomach trouble as well, generally it works wonders for her nausea, lack of appetite, and indigestion. Finally, the herbs provide the best symptomatic relief for her menstrual cramps as well (that includes vapors, joints and more recently cannabis infused salve).
