Buying USED SSV, things to look out for?

Hey guys, first post here, just wanted to ask some vape professionals their opinion on what I should be looking for when buying a used silver surfer.

I found one on craigslist, I just have a few concerns-

Are there fake silver surfers?
If there are is there a way to check authenticity if there are?
What is usually broken on silver surfers?
Anything else I should check for?
How come some have SSV written on it and some dont?

Heres the pictures of it, let me know what you guys think.

VAPOLITICS!
It looks like a legit SSV (not sure fake SSVs exist...) quite old based on the plexiglass base, but legit!
One thing to consider: ask for a reversed picture where you see the heater cover & heater aspects and also ask a pic of the whip/wand/mouthpiece!

Good luck in your purchase!

FLskwat,

How old do you think it is/What do you think would be a good price for it?
Thanks again for the help guys!

No fake surfers out there to this point, at least none that have the same shape. Used units are available on eBay from around $150-200, with some slightly blemished new units from 7th Floor going for a little over $200 with shipping, and including the 3 yr. warranty. Personally, I'd look for one of the blemished, but fully warranted 7th Floor units, but if you're looking for a cheaper buy, $150 would probably be as much as I'd pay. I'd say the unit you're showing in the pic is at least more than two years old, since they started using metal bases a couple of years ago. There's a used silver w/black base (much newer than your Craig's List unit) on eBay now for $179, including shipping.
