Best Dispensaries in SoCal.

So I posted up a poll over at Weedtrackers and asked the opinion of it's members which dispensaries did they consider the best in Southern California. The following were the top 10 with 229 votes cast in the top 10:

NNCC (Nature's Natural Collective Care)...Northridge/Reseda
HR (Humbolt Relief)...Northridge/Reseda
WEED (Wellness Earth Energy Dispensary)...Studio City
CRC (CornerStone Research)...East Los Angeles/Eagle Rock
GAM (Green Angel of Malibu)....Malibu
TC (Topanga Caregivers)...Woodland Hills
PLAWC (Purelife Alternative Wellness Center)...WLA
WWC (Westminster Wellness Center)...Orange County
HC (H.U.G.S. Collective)...Orange County
LAPCG (Los Angeles Patient Care Group)...West Hollywood

The only one I can personally endorse here is CRC because I've never been to the others, but I thought some here may find this list useful and may be worthwhile checking them out if you live in the areas.

I've heard CRC is top notch-- But GAM is in malibu (fucking pricey; bullshit), Pura vida (plawc) was my first dispensary but it started sucking majorly after a while-- just expensive, with the lowest quality shake. And LAPCG is just a boring boutique. TC is theoretically good, but whenever I've visited them I've been sadly disappointed. Dry bud, crappy hash...

WEED is phenomenal. If i lived in the valley I'd go no where else for concentrates.

I'd nominate Little Amsterdam as the best club in Los Angeles by far. Their membership was closed for a while, and they arent on WT (but they have their own forum that rewards posts with medication). But Little Amsterdam has the largest and best bud selection I've ever seen. And they've pre-ordered a vapexhale cloud for patient use :)

Only downside is that their oils are all 50. But they have a huge selection of hashes that are much cheaper, including a palatable kief for $5/gram. yea, i said $5. And I've seen some goo for like $30, whihc isn't bad.
L.A., on robertson south of pico.
I just do flowers, usually.

Unbelievable selection. Wow. :o

After looking at their site along with their consistent lab testing, I'd pay them a visit in a heartbeat. Although there are located in my old stomping grounds where I grew up (went to Hamilton High School just down the street a bit), they are definitely too far for me to travel to now. CRC is just a lot more convenient, but Little Amsterdam sure as hell looks impressive.

Lately I've been going to THC (Terra Holistic Collective) in Garden Grove. The weed is nice, reasonably priced, not shady, they have an interesting reward program, and are close.

I vaguely remember going to HC(Really should write reviews of every dispensary I go to, just for myself) and not liking it for some reason or another.

Haven't been to WWC yet, will check it out next week.

The rest are a bit far for me.

I've recently been a big fan of a fairly new place in Newport Beach called The Healing Tree. Nice quality, discreet, great incentives, and professionally run, without a bunch of stoner iconography everywhere.

it's such a crap shoot in South OC, i wish there was something better than weedtracker

At least there is this one strip mall with five collectives in Lake Forest and some are capped at 40/45, making comparison shopping somewhat less cumbersome.

Nuggetry run out of their signature strains? I notice ads for growers, and last couple times I wasn't overwhelmed.

I love the concentrates at the WEED but the bud there and Little Amsterdam is pricey I guess L.A. is worth the extra $ to know it was tested for contaminants though and NNCC is good I especially liked the OG H (herojuana I believe) but not special enough for the new $25 membership. Personal favorite is Calm & Collective in Long Beach. Super cool staff usually have a soda or water for you and great ounce prices pinapple express is $220 and Skywalker is $300 and always over 28.0

There is a really nice place in north OC that just did a fantastic remodel/expansion. The place is top-notch and hi-tech. They have really nice edibles and plenty of strains to choose from. They now even offer clones. It's called Physis and it's near the 57 and Imperial. It's my favorite dispensary, so I'm biased. It's not the cheapest place, but they treat you well and it's in a nice quiet location.

Check it out: http://physisnc.com/

all the good places are very far from me

the Jade Lotus Society (WWC) prescribed, "Louis XIII" for me, as a remedy

it's working it's magic

...guess i found a place, in Westminster Wellness Center, they say they usually have two that are really good

Its slightly better neighborhood than CPA - Nuggetry, but I'm sure I'll go back there again too

cool, cool, cool

EDIT: been going to CPA Nuggetry instead of WWC because they always have N1, good indica

LA got pricey recently; Tax is now 15% because of measure M. They have a happy hour, but still...

plus they dropped the $5 kief. First they upped it t $7, and now there is no concentrate cheaper than $20... :(
And they discontinued most of their forum promotions.

I'm looking for a new place in the valley. I need to hit up WEED and HR; haven't been there in a while

Just got back from 'Cool Calm Collective' Sepulveda north of Burbank. Check this place out! I got a half ounce of quality shake for $30. Not a regular menu item, but I really lucked out. They also have normal shake, not too leafy and resplendent with tiny nugs, for $5/gram.

Plus, there's a great selection of cheap bud. $35 strains were good; $40 strains looked excellent and i got one for my free gram.

They have everything... check it out!

If you're want a delivery service and live in the San Gabriel valley in SoCal, I highly recommend Brisk Delievey

Check out their menu. It gets updated almost daily.

I've used them 3 times so far spread out over about 6 months and I have never been disappointed. Great quality, great service, and considering the savings on their coupon and considering that this is delivered to your front door, the prices are right.

Okay so I went to Davinci collective and Hoyland. Both in the van nuys area.

Da vinci = Dont waste your time.
Warehouse area, kinda trashy. Looks like a rave could happen at this spot the bud room was HUGE.
NITTY GRITTY
Free gifts are bogus. Shitty 2g shake free, (thought it was 2g of BUD. It wasnt) & overpriced bud 25 for 1g but they offer a BOGO (buy one get one) so its basically 2g for 25 but the quality is there. just over priced in my opinion compared to other collectives.

Hoyland was alright. same BOGO 25 a g deal. Kinda bogus to be honest. You have to spend 45 to get the free .5 hash ftp deal. Overall they had some good bud, some okay, and the ugly.
Not really worth it.

HERE IS THE GOLD

DC Collective near canoga park, which is about half an hour from van nuys. maybe less?

Free Gram of nice looking trichome filled skywalker OG.
10 a g bud and its all GLORIOUS.
great waiting room, very clean atmosphere, the medical room is so top notch. It was hard to take in all the meds at once. Tinctures, Oils, Waxes, Hash, Buds. This place is a gold mine.
I grabbed some Tahoe OG wax and Have a new dart core on its way in the mail :-)

EDIT: Also check out DTE (Down To Earth)
I have a buddy that goes here and all the bud he has smells and looks amazing.

RITE GREENS if you're in OC

Santa Ana is the only city in Orange County where shops are open, i call them shops in this case as they are only in it for the money and could care less about the medical aspect of it, so rite greens supposedly has a line out the door daily and are raking it in, look at the menu on weedmaps waxes are going for $50g on up to $90g that is pure robbery, thankfully i abandoned wax way before they shut down all the good collectives months ago, back then you could get some decent waxes for $30g-$35g, anyway it hurts to throw down $50 an eighth at RG but the only other alternatives is delivery which most want a $50 minimum to show up and i just like to go to a storefront and check out the flowers and hand over the blood money, i'm just wired that way i suppose or drive up to LA at $4 plus dollars a gallon usually fighting traffic. :cuss:

i don't know how places like Rite Greens stays open where all these city councils have shut down just about every city in OC including Santa Ana, i've read that they are paying daily fines i don't know what the truth is, if you check weedmaps there are new shops opening in Santa Ana almost daily if not at least every week a new one pops up or it seems that the new ones are just another branch of the the bigger ones, who knows. it just seems that OC has regressed back to a profit motivated system and this is just wrong, i mean there are plenty of people who are sick that really benefit from the medical aspect of cannabis and there are no doubt a majority who wanna be cool and get ripped and i get it but the whole system here in OC and many other parts of california is fucked up and we should be progressing foward now in 2013 like colorado and washington not taking leaps backwards.

there was a collective in OC a couple of years ago that imo was the model collective called OC Wliburs and these folks did it right, where they were repectful and friendly first, then they would take you into one of i think two or three rooms where it was just you the patient and the budtender no other patients around to interrupt you, no music blaring and he would show you samples of the different strains they had available, no poking through huge jars of buds and they had some nice organically grown flowers not kiefed like many shops do, they had maybe 3 to 4 sativas and indicas at a time and that was fine you knew the strains would be potent and they would weigh em heavy and they had this donate one get one free deal all the time whether it was a g-eighth-1/4-1/2 etc. and with tax you would get two grams for $16 and change and they would often have a donate one get two free deal so you could conceivably get an eighth [3 grams weighed out heavy which usually added up to 4 grams] with that deal for $16 bucks :D plus you could split mix and match anyway you wanted no problem and on your birthday you would get a free eighth no donation needed and sometimes they just gave you a g or so of a new strain for free that they wanted you to try out and give them feedback about. so of course Wilburs was shut down, i think they went delivery and changed their name but of course it was never the same.:(

so after all of south OC was shut down all the shops congregated around garden grove, santa ana, anaheim and costa mesa/newport and one city at a time would get shut down up until the Riverside decision came down from Sacramento and in May garden grove was one of the last cities to get shut down and i went to the city council meeting where the mayor was yelling at all of us and throwing out some people [as they were speaking up for themselves] like some crazed tyrant saying that this was the law and even if he wanted to that the city would be breaking the law if they allowed the shops to stay open and to call our congressman if we wanted to change things and some bs that was fed to him about how crime increased in the areas around the dispensaries blah blah blahh, the nut. :mental:

Most places in LA buy their products from dealers who work with cartels. Always horrible quality.

Huh? I've lived in LA all my life and the meds that I have got from CornerStone as well as my current delivery service has been EXCELLENT.

While "some" dispensaries have meds that are not up to snuff, to say "Always horrible quality" is TOTALLY false. Also, please provide your source of info regarding the cartels as I know for a fact that the bud that was sold by CornerStone was grown by some of their long standing patients in very small quantities.

I know you said "most", not "all", but still, I'd like to see your source for this info.
