Hello. i am a user of herbs for medicinal purposes.
I live in a shared house and if i wish to smoke i have to wait till the middle of the night or early morning to nip outside for a quick joint and take steps to de-smellify myself. i am so sick of this and i came to the conclusion that a no smell vape is what i need.

I did order a vapir mini oxygen as i thought it was a hot air vape just scaled down, however when i saw all the reviews of plastic tastes, being hard to draw on, failing within months, some are covered in poor adhesive inside that can melt, and the whole thing is plastic, i tried canceling the order but i was too late so I'm going to send it straight back and I've decided to splash out on a really good vaporizer.

My question is what vaporizer am i best going for in these criteria:

*needs to produce no odor (my biggest concern)
*up to $160-240 (100-150), the top number is if its something really special, a cheap good one is great though
*i may need to use it in the dead of night so I'd rather no loud noise
*i am not worried about the size or portability
*toughness or a long lasting warranty (as i cannot afford replacements) is a plus

i have seen many positive reviews on the launch box, but the lack of precision worries me. Some volcano users are saying they prefer the launch box over the volcano! it does seem to have an effective simplicity going for it.

do you get much smell from the inflated bag vapes when you breathe out? i like the idea of getting a vape 'hit'.

i have read many reviews and to be honest there are people that like even the vaporizers that seem to be terrible so it's a confusing market to shop in, any help would be great!

Thanks to the founders for such a good forum, I've found some really good info and multimedia here.
p.s i am happy to shorten this if it bothers people, i don't wish to annoy anyone. :peace:

I would highly check out the Silver Surfer and the Da Buddha. I own a Surfer and I love it. Ive been smoking herb for over 12 years. I believe there are ways to get around the smell, but I have never tried (although it does seem to smell less and better than smoke imo). There are MANY vapes out there, but after doing some research it was clear to me what I wanted. I ordered the Silver Surfer direct from 7th floor about a month ago and the service was outstanding. I probably vape like 90% of the time now. Good luck.

Youre not going to find an odor free vaporizer. Unfortunate but it's just not going to happen. I'd recommend a whip style vape and buy this item called "smoke buddy" you breathe into it and it traps the smell and nothing comes out of the other end. From the reviews I've seen it seems to be 100% odor free if you get all your hits blown through it.

^^.... or a LaunchBox, a Purple Days, a Myrtlezap, or a Lotus, etc. Lots of good vapes to choose from that would fit what you are looking for.

Combustion Fucker
I think some of the bigger hitting vapes like the buddha or SSV are gonna smell more than something like a PD or a MFLB, just because it's easier to get bigger clouds with them.

They all smell less than smoke though, anything without a fan will be pretty silent, although a bunch of the units with fans / pumps can also be used without them.

Technical Skeptical
the HA is highly durable, can be used with or without the not-very-noisy fishpump (the bags do sound like sunchips bags when filling though).

if you're trying to eliminate smell, fill a gatorade bottle with dryer sheets, poke holes in the bottom, end exhale through that.

Thank you for all the replies, it's late where i am so I'll reply to the the other posts tomorrow but, its hard to tell by the pictures and no one seems to specify so I'm best off asking someone who has one, the dial on the HA (i assume that's the herbalaire?) is it marked in a number system or is it marked in the actual temperature? thanks for any help. the HA is appealing, the company's site sells them with free international shipping, it does mean i have another one to do hours of reading on now though

Right now I'm considering either keeping the vapir mini (risky), getting a magic flight launch box, da Buddha or one that I've seen in the UK a lot but not in the us called 'very vappy' ( http://www.everyonedoesit.com/onlin...izer---vv600.cfm?iProductID=8819&bForceShow=1 ) and i have also been close to just going mental and buying a volcano! I really can't afford that and it'd be madness but, it's tempting :brow:

maybe I'm just eying it up coz i cant have it.

well maybe I'm not a good reference(my sense of smell isn't that good), but I use my VG alkl the time inside, without even opening a window, and I don't get remarks about my house/room smelling like it when people come over so I guess it doesn't smell much, or it does smell but they don't recognise it since most people know the combustion taste
the LB and logvapes are supposedly the least smelling

only one time, on a terrace in the city, when I just got my VG and was hitting it next to a friend he said he did smell it a little when I blew the clouds in his direction
but I think you'll be safe with almost any vape(as long as it doesn't combust, so if you get a VG or LB or other vape with a learning curve that's able to combust maybe you should still use it outside untill you get the technique right)

i guess by no odor i meant that i don't want the people walking past my room to smell anything, it does seem however that most vapes would achieve this, sure if i blew out my window too that'd be fine.

i really want a purple days but they don't ship to my country, im going to investigate on ebay.

the vapir mini turned up and its sooo sooo tempting, i wanna vape right this instant! arg! people are saying it does work, its just rubbish.

Temp.

'very vappy'
This is one those cheap clone vapes that make the Vapir products look solid and 1st rate in comparison. I'd stick with a vape that has a manufacturer warranty and website.

The Vapir Mini needs a 'burn in' before you use it. That helps in the odor dept. Aside from the new Vapir N02, their products are only going to have a 90 day warranty, and digital displays increase your chances of vape failure.

The Vapolution has been an excellent buy for EDIT customers in the past, but they seem to be out of stock. The new Vapo model, available now, is not much different from the original, but the price has gone up. Don't know what EDIT's price will be. This model is similar in design (top loading, small bowl, smooth hits) to the PD, and was my main direct draw vape years ago, until the PD arrived on the market. It also has an all glass vapor path.

i guess by no odor i meant that i don't want the people walking past my room to smell anything
It's going to depend a lot more on how much vapor you exhale, vs. any odor the vape itself puts out.

I'm in the same situation with purple days not shipping to my country, I'm planning on buying a WDZ instead to solve it

If you didn't have the smell comment in your criteria, I'd say get an SSV or DBV. But the fact is that the smell is related to the herb and not necessarily the vape. That being said, the MFLB is the only vape I have tried that seems to have less smell than others. It makes no sense to me, but it may have to do with smaller hits or less dense vapor. I do not know how it smells with the PA, though, and I would recommend getting it for the MFLB.

I recommend you drop the smell concern, since you're always going to have smell unless you are masking it with something else.

maybe you should consider baking some goodies instead. vape does dissapate faster than smoke but i think you will always have some odor associated with using a vape for the short term.

dude,

i got me a dbv, and i vape in my room these days with just windows open, smell is hardly any concern at all, and i don't even bother to blow the vapor out the window, just 'whehhhhhh' out into the room like normal. the smell is so faint that it is hardly noticeable, and rather quickly disappears. but note that with whip vapes, after a certain amount of use, the tube or wand may actually smell more than the vapor clouds! (nothing a little cleaning can't take care of). and with the dbv, you can get thick hits or use the arizer dome on the wand, for smallish, efficient hits.

have you considered a portable torch vaporizer like the lotus? i haven't tried it but the reviews make it pretty interesting.

also you should think about the smell from the unit when you are NOT vaping. i love my DBV and using in fact right now, but the whip smells real bad in itself when not in use [and i keep my shit pretty clean.] if your worried about the smell in general, this might be an issue for you. in your situation i would recommend something like a Myrtlezap or Purple days. the stems can be easily cleaned and stored. put the stem/tooty in a ziplock bag or plastic storage container and your good. they work very well and are in your price range.

I think the MFLB is best for you, you can just walk outside and toke and walk in and you wouldnt smell at all, and you could use it indoors by a window and no one would know..

we may think there is no little smell but to a non smoker, they can detect it really easily. I've been called out on it quite a few times. heck, opening a jar of dank reeks as much. either way, it's 50x better than actual smoke. I think it dissipates very quickly. Any good tips on whip cleaning?

ISO for cleaning wand and mouthpieces is you care about resin reclaim.

bleach and dawn work great if you don't care about reclaim, nice overnight soak. yet it's still best to scrape as much out as you can before hand.

as for the tubing, its best to just replace it.
