What do you do to curb the vape buying itch?

Ive been itching to try something new lately. Ive been really good with holding back on making any purchases. My Zap does great when I need it, and so does my LB. I have the perfect setup going.

I just wanna expand!

I know many of the people here collect, but to those that dont, what do you do to hold off? Its becoming increasingly harder!

I look at and research other vapes I -could- buy, and sometimes buy accessories for what I do have. When vaping becomes a large interest (or hobby in my case) it's hard not to spend lots of money on it.

^that

Find something new that you would really like to try and get it!

no other way to scratch the itch

accessories can sometimes be a substitute/supplement for more vaporizers ;)

Basically I have made it so I have all of (my) desires covered with my vaping.

Heavy meanie hitter that goes well with friends - SSV (Formerly SV)
Daily driver and efficiency monster - Zap
Portables - MFLB and Lotus

I dont plan to get another vape anytime soon, although I went by my buddies the other day and paid a visit to my old SV. I *might* end up finding myself in the market for another one again...

^^ Yeah, but I don't know if "need" has anything to do with it.

Case in point. I got rid of all the vapes in my sig except one........the PD, which is my daily driver cause it's simple to use, simple to clean, super efficient and super tasty, so why in the fuck am I lusting over either an LB or a Lotus? I came up with a crock of shit rationale that says, well, I need a vape to use if I forget to power up my PD and I don't want to wait 45min if that happens............knowing full well that that's just a mind-fuck rationale. (rolling eyes at myself)

ive went through quite a few vapes and finally landed on the vape i love and as far as i am concerned at this time it will probably be my last vape.

its like finding a good woman, once you find one you dont need to look at others :p

just keep buying vapes, there aren't too many. or try other peoples and maybe rule some out that you would've bought otherwise.

granted i've spent too much on vapes, but it has satisfied the itch, there aren't any more i want. at least till the cloud comes out.

If you ever want to partake in a place that has no electrical outlet (outside for example), either one will be a Godsend. Theres some bonus rationale =p

But that's just it. The ONLY place I vape now is at home. I have absolutely no need for a portable, but still...........

Yes, but...

Do you have an outlet in EVERY single room of your house? What if you decide to get 'freaky' with your vape and vape in a not so ordinary place? (Like the kitchen counter, or the pool table)

Vape chicka vape vapeeeeeee

^^ lol. Right. I used that one too, but I only get a power outage about once every 5 to 10 years and then it's only out for 30 seconds or so. Only happens if someone barrels through a power poll and it happens to be on my grid. A few brownouts in the summertime but that doesn't count.

Bottom line is I have no rational reason for wanting an LB or a Lotus, but yet, I'm still thinkin' about it.

Aw, go on. You know you want one!

It's tough to resist new gear. I suppose if you plan carefully you can cover most bases with 3 or 4 units. The trouble is it's hard to plan till you try a few...

not having any money available for it works too :p
I plan on buying a WDZ soon, and my idea is to get all the money needed for it from selling weedchocolate made from all the AVB I still have
that way I'll pay a new vape with the old vape:p

^^^yes, yes, yes i should totally do this!^^^^^
no money for such things is the real deterrent (gardening season is coming up!), but my Goldilocks logic states that the MFLB (while purpose built) is too small for my daily needs and the Ion is to big. i need a happy medium and have been looking at a PD for quite some time, actually, i'ts how i first found FC. i figure it will be more efficient for me, so it will save me money in the long run. yeah i'm rationalizing

and i don't know how to double quote in a post so i copied..

hahaha you said get freaky with your vape.
with the MFLB i can get freaky and vape in such not so ordinary places such as
in the front garden
on the back deck
the shed
on the crapper (thank dh for that one)
while walking the dog
at concerts
right in front of squares :)

how could you NOT find some use for a portable? quick and dirty.
i guess if you want to be well rounded, a portable, a party unit and a daily driver

for me, "buying" == "building", and for me now, i'm kind of like lwien, my current vape (version 14!) does everything i need a vape to do.

and having found a good woman (who is willing to live with me) i still look at other women, i just ain't looking for other women.

Yes, but I tried a LOT of women before I got married...then that one failed on me too. So just like a woman, try them all and never be satisfied with what you believe is an "average" vape. And like a woman, a vape is gonna eventually fail on you too (law of entropy). Always nice to have backups...in both cases as I learned the hard way :)

my vape is guaranteed for life (mine) by the manufacturer ... the gf relationship is a bit more work -- if she only wants to kill me once a day, i'm doing pretty good there, too.

i do not collect, although i do like trying other models. for me i dont need much incentive to hold off as i really like my vape, not just the high but also the whole thing...it just fits my way of thinking in terms of being simple...less dependent on modern technology.

but if i need a reason to not buy a new piece i often consider the cost of what im putting into it...not to mention snacks.
