Any reason why I shouldn't vape all day every day?

for some it is beneficial, others not so much. if it interferes with your life or your health then, yes, it is a problem. otherwise, i say it's fine. cannabis and herbs in general for that matter have much shorter active times in the body and thus require frequent dosing.

I can't vape in the middle of the day, I just lose the will to work on things. No matter if its sativa or indica. However, vaping in the morning (wake and bake) really helps kickstart my day. Maybe THC can have an energizing effect after a experiencing full REM cycles.
I feel you on this. I recently started vaping first thing in the morning before my shower and it's really helped me get the day started. It makes brushing my teeth fun and tasty. It makes a blazing hot shower feel amazing. It makes the tunes I'm playin in the shower 20 times more enjoyable.

I remember reading somewhere that marijuana has some special characteristic allowing it to change between either making one energized or relaxed. Don't quote me on that though.

While I personally find myself vaping a stem from my PD around 4 times daily, I'm starting to realize this won't work for an extendEd period of time. It's just too much IMO and under-utilizes the true power of the herb, as many others have stated.

i will quote you! and the term you are looking for is adaptogen :) just as it sounds - the herb acts on the body as it is needed. i believe that elderberry and lavender are adaptogens, Siberian ginseng too.

I was on a vapping stint that lasted for two years that lasted until about a month ago. I was vaping every chance i got. Frankly it was kinda ridiculous now that i look back. sure its way funner for me to do everything stoned, but i was at the point where it wasn't even that cool. like lwein said...... "Yeah, 'cause then it becomes the norm. What fun is that?" i couldn't explain it better myself. not to mention vapping through $300+ ounces was totally expensive looking back on how much cash i coulda saved and how much more satisfying my high could have been makes be regret the over-kill herb usage.
I have now stopped vapping a. for a tolerance break and b. so i can teach myself moderation. :peace:

Yeah that is a long time. I am trying to learn moderation as well, I just love the herb so much so it is hard.

I hear ya! it just is so gosh darn good... but when one stays vaped all day everyday you begin to forget the true greatness of the plant. once I start back up I will only be vaping at nights.

There is no real answer to what you asked. Only your lifestyle, job, resources and goals you are currently pursuing can answer that question for you. And as soon as something in your life changes, maybe then it would be time to re-evaluate your answer by re-asking yourself the question.

If i was a millionaire with no obligations to do anything besides live off the interest the bank is making for me, then it would be much more different than having a family with 5 kids, a mortgage and having 2 jobs with very little time to spend with your wife.

The only difference between vaping or not vaping is based on dependence, i know for a fact that in this world a person goes further whenever he is happy. Therefore he should do whatever makes him happy. As long as a person is happy they can achieve anything, even overcome the impossible. Now how is it possible to always stay happy without other people wanting to ruin that for you.

I vape all day.

I turn the SSV on when I woke up, do my thing. Take shower, do my thing.

Go to work, bust out the MFLB, do my thing.

Come home, turn on SSV, do my thing, repeat until im passed out.

And the best part is im using less herb then when I smoked, but vaped out all day.

I can't really contribute to the vaping aspect (my first vape arrives tomorrow) but I use to smoke high grade green EVERY day for about 2.5 years. It was cool at first because I was high all the time but I realized that I never really had any money for anything else. On top of that I wasn't really getting high just buzzed. The past few months I have actually cut down my smoking to three days a week (thurs, fri, sat) and I honestly think I enjoy it more now. I can actually save money, I feel more energetic, and when i do smoke I get really high.

But honestly... If I had the money to support a daily habit I probably would be faded all day. :D

ive been vaping/smoking (only vaping since i got my supreme vape) every day for about two years and while I dont trip after one hit anymore, given sufficient quality & quantity you can get 10/10 on the high scale any day.

Thats where concentrates usually come in :brow:
(I buy CO2 waxes all tested 90-98% thc by budgenius.com)

sometimes after taking 2-3 hits if you are using a bag, which u probably aren't, you start surfing the web and completely forget the bag is next to you lol, by the time u realise it's already been 20 mins.

1-2 [MZap] stems a day, in the evening, works for me.

Its nice after a work out / bike ride / hike / snowmobiling, etc, whatever your adventure may be.

However, if your not doing it for pain, I think its best to keep usage in the 1-3 times a week range.
I find this offers much better mental exploration/expansion.

I can make 1/8ths last 3-6 months this way, I grind a bud, vape on it till its gone. Then take a T break for a week or so.
It helps to have other things to do while on break, otherwise it can be harder to resist the urge. I also suggest packing up your paraphanelia and keeping things out of sight while on T break. Less distracting that way.
Sometimes I catch myself vaping out of boredum. But I enjoy the whole process, opening the jar, taking some strong wiffs of herb, grinding, taking pictures, and so forth. So essiently, vaping does give me "something to do". :p

I vape all day every day 7 days a week, and have for a year, befire that I smoked about once a week, but vaped all day for a dozen years.
I still get high, and love the effects. I still use the same amounts.
There is no reason IN MY OPINION, to not vape all day every day. I vape a minimum of once an hour.
Vape on! :ko:

I'm using a combo of vaping and combusting. At the moment 12 hours per day 'under the influence'; when not on holidays it would be perhaps 6 hours per day.

There are obviously going to be non consumption times, but it's always situation or context sensitive.

My personal take? As much and as long as you want to the extent of it not causing difficulties.

i wait till night time after what needs getting done is done. feels like a reward. i used to vape all day everyday. after a while it got boring. I felt like i was wasting time i could be doing other shit. In the end the bud lasts longer, i get to spend more cash on other interests and i get super blazed every time.

balance is the key to life.

After reading about the T-Break Alternative, I've been able to wake-and-bake, and haven't built up much tolerance...the secret seems to be stretching out my sessions as much as possible (4-6 hours)

Nice no more t-breaks, they really messed me up.

I'm using MJ since 12 years and i vape since 2+ years .. I used easily build up tolerance against joints and exspecially when i did smoke one strain... for long time... Since i started vaping marijuana experience altered in to more energetic... way.. Far away from the shitty hungry stony days... when i did combusted my self with junk food... tobacco..etc. (that was because my brain wasnt able to get satisfied only by joint)
I vape since two years every day 10 times a day .. even more.l.( last years and a half i vape mostly a* haze) and it has become important part of my spiritual journey.... I do not notice any tolerance build up...
The more i smoke the further i go... I get high on minimal amounts too.. but i know where i can be... and if i am in the mood and power i can go as furthers as i want.. I even have reached very intense visual hallucinations and auditory alteration only with mj... (similar to salvia , lsd, mescalin, etc.)
The first 6 months after the i switched to vape.. I though vaping is more rough than smoking... I coughed like a pig... and my lungs was cleaning out of various shits... (all colours you can imagine) ..,, but then i searched and i found marijiana when vaped reacts like for example mint on the lungs.. which leads to respiratory cleansing.. Now after two years i can do the largest dbv/bong hit (0,5G) whitout coughing.. I breathe like an athelete (it is also due to my altered diet and more exersizing too) .I have not lung issues compared to the time when i did combust.. But i have to say there is a period to get acustomed to vape i had throat issues which i solve via the bong i use.. and the cleansing,, So in the first months you should go easy on vaping... Then do as much as you can endure and whitout damaging your normal way of life...
:) Also there are many herb with health benefits on vaporizer.. My vaporizer turned from a mj device into a health machine since i start using various herbs,

i do this when i have the time to do it, otherwise i do evening sessions only. ive been able to get very very vaped by extending sessions, hitting gently for a long period of time and ending with a blast. kaboom.

good reads in this thread. :peace:

I use and had use various adaptogens and it is important to switch them..
The most powerful i had encountered are Ashgwanda, Chinese Gin Seng, Codriceps, Echinacea. Korean ginseng,Reishi and our county's specialty The Sambucus nigra (elderberry) (careful with this one... It is too powerful and you can poison yourself..
One of our most famous and respected national herbalist has written in his books how he came to use that herb.. So he was in the woods and he saw a snake and a weasel fighting... The snake had advantage and bit the weasel.. The weasel ran away in the bushes (which were elderberry) she bit off a stem of sambucus nigra rubbed the bitten place and also ate a bit.. Then the weasel came back and killed the snake :). After seeing this had use the tea daily and have never encountered a cold ,flue or any other the common whips of humanity..

Regarding the "adaptogen" aspect that has been mentioned, I've noticed that happening with me too. It seems like my body senses whatever kind of relief is needed most at that moment somehow sends the herb where it needs to go. In a lot of pain? I get more pain relief and less antidepressant. Having a bad day with mental illness? More effect on the brain than the body. Even when both body and brain are giving me problems at the same time, it seems to evenly work. Amazing, really. But it could just be a placebo effect also.

Anyway back to the topic of this thread, I don't see any thing unhealthy about vaping all day but it is really about why you are vaping and your own personal lifestyle. Others have already pretty much said what I was going to.

Personally for me dealing with pain and illness is a quality of life issue and while I'd rather not spend most of my waking hours in an alternate state of mind - it's still better than spending those same hours constantly hurting or sick. If nothing else, at least it enables me to function and deal with some of my responsibilities, whereas without it I am unable to even take a simple shower most days. So for me and people like myself I would say that vapng all day every day might even be a good thing. But there are plenty of people for whom it would be a bad thing.

learning home remedies from animals, that's epic

maybe i should loosen my blinders about trying other herbs

about the OP: Tolerance is a bitch - without excercise (i don't really) I developed a tolerance that wasn't helped by five day t-breaks (it gave me a day or so before I was ready for another t-break), and switching strains didn't help, and...nothing really helped but using less.

I even read recently that pot smokers learned a long time ago (wish they'd sent me the newsletter) that using less gets you higher. I envy anyone who doesn't get a high tolerance (Great genes I guess).

:) We have one of the most developed herbal medicine in the world.. Head to head with the chinese medicine.. Witchdoctory and Shamanizm is raditional on our land before B.C And much of it was destroyed during communism... and two world wars.. Here are growing bout 20 000 herb species .. Well known are bout 4000(thanks to guys like The one that saw the weasel..) ... the government had researched 100....
All of our grannies know some witch doctor herbs.. and they make numerous remedies.. When i was a little child i did compare them to Indian Medicine men :)..
That is our most famous healer..
http://translate.google.bg/translate?hl=bg&sl=bg&tl=en&u=http://petardimkov.com/index.php?page=heal
and i translated as much as i can the story of the weasel :D
The healer told Peter Dimkov:
I went on a trip to Svoge and suddenly came across a weasel, which struggled with the viper. Poisonous snake was trying to bite the weasel ... Dominance has the snake - it bit weasel. I thought the fight was over. Weasel quickly slipped into the bushes, I saw how she peeled off with their sharp teeth bark of elderberry and crunched a bit of it . Minute, then went back and grabbed the snake in the back And did not leave her until she died and since then my interest is to the black elderberry ... It is a wonder plant ... Cattle that graze on the slopes, eat elderberry as you eat baklava(Insanly sweet desert) ... And i did once watch the swallows, before flying to the south: a few days together greedily peck eldeberries - only them! - And loaded with great strength to fly away ... "

I've heard that narrow arteries and weakend blood flow can result in diminished effects.. Also that is based on my feelings and logic. THC + hits the brain trough the spine.. So people who have problems with their spines not being the normal shape have more problems getting higher than straight spinned people.. That is from obsevation over my friends... Also have to mansion that ussualy those with wrong spines have also poorer health that also may have effect/
For me getting high is like running.. It is pleasurable physical exersize with a lot of breathing involved...
You will run slower and it will be more hard for you if you have health issues... So that why adaptogens are helping people get more higher... They just make them endure more...

My wife vapes tobacco, and I do on occasion.
I vape eucalyptus for sinus trouble, and have done lavender too.
At Vaping Other Herbs, right here on FC, I talk about it.
One thing I learned, is that many packaged herbs are so dry that they are very difficuklt to vape.. just like if your MJ was super dry.
What works best is to freshen them slightly as one would weed, .. in a box, with a humidifying device, ... a clay humidifier.. or a small piece of carrot wrapped in foil with holes poked in it. You are not trying to moisten, only give a consistancy that your MJ would have!
