Anyone here pumped about the summer music festivals?!?!?

Yeah, I am...but it is because of the work, not entertainment. I will work at too MAJOR festivals here in so cal in the Spring time and will easily make $1000+ in eight days. Its long hard days and we don't get hotels...so we camp like everyone else, but its fun and interesting work that pays well.

finchrock24,
I agree there is a lot of money to be made at these festivals, but the entertainment value is equally as high. I'm doing streetteam work for free tickets and then volunteering at whatever festival I can't the free ticket for. This is going to be one hell of a summer! and my VaporGenie will be accompanying me all around the country.

cptGeneralBurnside,
Wakarusa tickets are only $139 right now, but the price goes up this Saturday! Get 'em now while this allotment lasts! A great deal - over 70 bands!! We'll be vapin all day at this festival!!

cptGeneralBurnside,

Totally, Europe is the place for festivals. Someday I'll make it to Wacken and Graspop... someday.

aesthyrian,
Anyone up in the Michigan area or fans of The String Cheese Incident?? Well Rothbury was the best music festival known to date for the 2 years it was held, and after taking the year off in 2010, they are back with the Electric Forest Festival! String Cheese Incident is playing all 3 nights and some of the other artists in the line-up are Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Shpongle presents The Shpongletron Experience (craziest shit you'll ever witness), The New Deal, Beats Antique(my personal favorite, especially if you like worldly experimental music), Break Science, VibeSquad and many many many more!! Also for the nostalgic music lovers, REO Speedwagon will be making a special guest appearance! The dates are Independence Day weekend June 30-July 3 2011 and will be held in the beautiful Sherwood Forest in Rothbury, Michigan. If you haven't seen this forest I highly suggest you look at some of the pictures from previous years. This will definitely be one you dont want to miss!! Check it out at www.electricforestfestival.com Peace and Love

I'm thinking about going to The Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, AL.

That Electric Forest looks fun. I really liked seeing Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, this past fall and I haven't seen any Cheese since 2005.

Man, I almost jizzed my pants when I saw the Sasquatch festival lineup.

Passes sold out quickly, and the ones in Craigslist are like 10000000000000% mark up.

Green goes to brown, n that's what I stand for.
I might, just might consider Burning Man as part of a road trip with my best friend from infanthood! If all goes well, it will be a wacky summer something along the lines of Fear and Loathing!
