...just be sure to send anything to mail@element-medical.ch and not mail@elemental-medical.ch...

The Dynavap also needs a little learning curve, at least that's my short experience with it.
In general, my personal experience is that the Vapman makes gentle aromatic vapor easier to achieve.

But it has also happened to me that I overheated and had to cough a little; especially when I concentrated less on the heating process and more on the ongoing conversation with other happy vapo friends.
:science::party: :popcorn::smug:

However, I would only recommend the Vapman to people who enjoy controlling the heating themselves.
Not everybody likes it the same way, which is fine with me.
The main thing is to find a device that delivers the desired vapor and for some people it might be easier with an electric device.

Especially now that the station is currently no longer available (as far as I know), it seems to me to be important to point this out.

I couldn't agree more with this. I've started vaping with the vapman, used the dynavap for a while before going back to the vapman as my primary device.
I've combusted with both of them regularly during the initial use but I find this was my own fault for trying to use them intuitively. Thinking to myself "that feels about right" before tasting that awful smoke.

Combusting during my vapman use is very rare now just because I methodically count during the the heating time. The occasionally combusting happens when I'm a little vaped and feeling like a vapman spirit guide with no need of science just vapman magic:science::).

It's all about the counting:2c:

Excellent points. I agree, VM will give you both 'light, flavorful' vapor or big clouds as you wish. DV, OTOH, basically works only one way. It's working temperature having been preset by design. If that matches what you want, cool, but otherwise.......

Don't get me wrong, I have a couple of DVs and use them in the mode they're built for to grab a quick hit or two. VM will do the same, of course, and you can immediately reload in a hot vape, not possible with DV. You can't even get a second hit without the necessary time to cool first. But outside that narrowly defined use (fairly 'roasted') VM gets the nod for being more compliant. But as you point out it's also more demanding. If you're not going to pay attention, or don't want to learn, DV makes a much better choice I think.

Does anyone have any experience cleaning their vapman middle section? I know from OGFC that acetone is recommended. Is the piece given a quick bath in acetone or left for a few hours?

Cheers

@Rsmahs, it's definitely worth a purchase. If you compare it to other portables of similar quality it's not expensive.
There are 324 pages here going back years, of consistent praise for the vapman. The only downside if you can call it that is the learning curve but if you follow the guidance it's easily mastered and good fun!

100% agree. It's a very unique device and I don't have another quite like it. I acquired several backups once I realized that it could become more difficult to do so in the future. If you get one and don't like it, I think you'll have an easy time finding an enthusiastic vaporent to take it off your hands.

I’ve really never mastered the search function on FC but I wondered if anyone ever inserted a glass tube, in this case a MFLB glass mouthpiece, into the flexiplus whip? I really think it makes a difference to the better both taste wise and coolness of vaporwise. I think is how I’ll roll for a bit!

Not to worry, nobody finds search here easy.....or in some cases even possible. Kudos to you for trying first. A few years back it was common to get 'I'm too busy to look for the answer, so someone just take their time to tell me......'. Pretty lame?

Yes, lots of us used MFLB stems including custom ones longer than stock. Both glass and plastic (each with it's own following). I can't say for sure about that exact whip, but lots of different ones (some from MF), including home made ones with 1/4 ID (high temperature) silicone tube, have been successfully used. By all means, give it a try? The whip should be long enough so you can heat it with the end in your mouth......unless you have 3 hands, of course.

Regards to all.

Thanks @OF I realize now in bouncing back and forth between FC and NewFC I meant to post this in the MiniVap thread. Ironically I got the idea to do it with my new MiniVap after setting up a similar arrangement with my Vapman and Station by using a MFLB glass mouthpiece inserted in my Vapman then connected to a tubing whip with a Vapman PEEK mouthpiece on the other end. I just took that length and moved it over to my MiniVap and hooked it into the longer flexicone+ provided with the MiniVap unit. Guess if I’m some FC. version of Wheel of Fortune I’ll be quick to guess when it spells out “MiniVapMan” in the before and after category...

The Station has really elevated this vape for me. It's currently my #2 option behind the WS. I'm very glad I was able to snag one.

I tend to use it in the 3-5 range on the dial. Setting 4 is a sweet spot for me, and I'll typically bump it up to 5 to finish off the bowl. I end up with nice brown AVB this way. Haven't felt the need to go higher than 5. I'd guess it's possible to combust on 6...

I tried using it with my bubbler last night, and it was actually quite enjoyable. You can get some nice clouds through water. I never thought I'd use this thing through a piece, but it makes more sense with the ritual of the Station vs. a torch IMO.

I've found this vape is also really good for kief mixed in with flower. Would love to try it with some hash someday, but I don't have any concentrate screens. What other alternatives do people use for hash? Can you buy any old screens and cut them to size, etc?

From my experience I have never combusted on this setting (1 year of regular use). However I have to say that when I use it on this setting, I remove the vapman as soon as the light turns green. While with the other settings I sometimes let it sit few additional secondes or more. So maybe it is possible to combust if you wait too much on this setting, who knows.

But yes, the station reveals how efficiently this vape can perform. Quickly. But I am still reaching the torch 50% of the time.

Damn I emailed him about picking up a station finally, but I guess I was too late, no more left and I missed my chance. I could still buy one on its own, but I'm really not interested in using it with a torch honestly... Maybe I will get lucky and get to try one someday! Ah sweet vapor dreams

I did mention to him about new FC and starting a thread, he didn't say if he was going to, I see he was last on here May 10, though who knows if you would want to start a new thread if he is trying to pass everything on to someone else?
This VAPMAN is like a ROLEX made in the APLS? (I assume)

Hi guys, I hope you are all safe and healthy!

It has been a while since my last post, I will be back next week with hopefully some nice photos.
The lock down made me hide in my workshop and make more special vapmans.

Take care,

vapman

That is officially the best news I have heard today. Really looking forward to it. All the best Mr. Vapman.

Day Tripper
I haven't used my VM much for the last few months due to the arrival of a new vape. You know how that goes... but this is my favorite VM season. sitting outside on a beautiful day leisurely having a few bowls and soaking up some sun.

Almost. The Alps are about 50 miles (80 km) away.
But it's made in the same town as Rolex and Omega (and the headquarters of swatch).

By the way, there is also a more than 50 years old classic truck of the USA parked in the ornamental garden rebates. :D
I already asked if we could go for a little ride, but they can't find the gas cap. Maybe one of you guys has an old manual left? ;)

It seems to be gold-coated like the Vapman. And it looks like it used to steam too.

Doomsday vapmen are coming to town real soon!

Nostradamus predicted that everything happens twice in different forms:

Three days ago I received 2 emails from two different persons with the same name, one from Australia and one from the UK and they both told me the same thing. The UK guy is a reseller of which I haven't heard since March 2017 and the other guy from Australia I didn't know before..
Here is what the two guys with identical names, independently wrote to me on the same day.

"There is still a market for Vapman in UK and I find a lot of people are turning away from the Mighty / Crafty type vaporizers and back towards models such as yours / dynavap / magic flight etc."

"......even though its an old vape its become relevant since everybody has made the recent realisation that on demand butane vapes are the most reliable effective ways to vape as well as micro dosing and your vape does both better than all the rest imo."

Thank you, Nostradamus!:)

May I ask a stupid question? Which is the best way to upload pictures these days?

Thank you!

vapman
Not a stupid question at all. I've been using imgbb lately. Just upload the pic to your account there, then copy the full image BBcode and paste it to your message here.
Here are my Pear and Yew tree units I have been enjoying.

Great to hear more Vapmen are being made, if you don't have one yet, get in on one.
I'll be getting a third in a darker wood to have a full set.
Cheers all
