Heavy bong smoker trying to convert and need advice

Hi

I am trying to convert to vaping my hash (traditional pressed pollen) instead of smoking it with tobacco which is the norm here. (I have smoked for 15+ years)

I bought the Dynavap M 2020 as my first vape which I am pretty satisfied with. After I got the technique down, so I can now fully extract it in 2 hits without combusting and get big clouds though a water piece it's pretty good, but I am still smoking. (Still waiting for Ddave mod to arrive before it becomes 100% and not 95% airtight tho)

Now I have been looking at something more desktop ish and either the Sticky Brick or the Evo Cloud seems to be good choices, but I am not sure how well they work with traditional hash (Guessing the Sticky Brick works more or less like the Dyna) - My goal is to extract the material faster, and get bigger clouds (Id prefere more of a hit n go style like smoking the bong compared to now, i have to warm it up first, and smoke twice for the same effect as 1 bonghead)

I am leaning more towards the EVO tho, since it seems to be the producing the biggest clouds of any vape (But does it work good with hash?)

I'd like to hear your thoughts

Thanks

Yup. The answer is Flowerpot.

I'm not sure that there is a "What at-home vape should I get?" question where the correct answer is anything except either a Woodscents Log from Ed's TnT, or a Flowerpot from Newvape.

I dunno, I think the Supreme deserves to be in the mix. I think @lazylathe would agree here as well.

I’ve not used the flowerpot though I’m sure it’s great, but I will definitely second your vote for the Woodscent.

Since you already have purchased a Dynavap, you might be more interested in Ed's TnT Woodscents log vape since they're compatible together.

But if I had to do it all over again and start with one vape, I'd go with the Flowerpot.

Almost there...
@proz9c

Also look into the Supreme 6 vaporizer.
It obliterates hash or actually anything you put in it.
Learning curve is small and it is extremely reliable.

I would recommend it over the Flowerpot, which I also own, for one simple reason.
If you are coming from bong smoking hash, you will want a similar experience.
The FP will do it but it is mainly convection based and I found hash to not be ideal for this type of heating.
The Supreme 6 is a mix of convection and conduction and the great thing is, using the loading system, you can decide how long to let it roast for before hitting.
This will give you those thick, delicious clouds and highs you are looking for.

These are my findings for hash as quite a few vapes will vape hash but not as effectively as the Supreme range.

Yeah hash isn't well suited to convection based devices.

I've had the best success with it in the Sublimator, which is the ultimate device for substituting from heavy bong hits

@lazylathe The Supreme 6 looks very interesting, wish there was more info laying around.. I would like to see how you load it.

Isn't TNT Woodscents basicly just a fancy IH?

Thanks everyone for your input, I will look more into the Flowerpot and Supreme 6

Supreme of any iteration, practically blues the woodscents out of the water in terms of true hard-hitting transcendental power.

Not knocki g the WS. itself. It's reputation and increasingly widespread following speak for itself but they are two very different machines with vastly different outcomes.

I still would strongly recommend the verdamper deluxe to anybody who wants to get really seriously medicated and not miss their bong all combustion at all with absolute ease.

Also, regarding hash. I own an Omnivap Vapcap since 2016. It works greatcwirh a bong.

But....of all the Vapcap's attributes, it really shines with hash of virtually any sort.

I was amazed the first time I put some squidgy pollen in my Vapcap. Effortless, huge, smooth hits every time. And so many hits per load too.

Also, the vapcap in general has a more combustion like effect than most other vaporizers, so I thought it was worth a shout sorry if I've got muddled and got the wrong thread here lol!

Verdamper and vapcap for hash is my vote, plus a supreme of course! :D

you are addicted to the nicotine, drop that from your world. your life will be better :)

Not sure who told you the EVO produces the biggest clouds of any vape...LOL!!!

I am sure the EVO will handle hash if you used the concentrate tubes.

While that is true, what I feel is missing is more vapor in my lungs

- This video got me convinced, and also reading some different stuff around the internet. Now I am more interested in the SV6, but I would still like to try the EVO for sure

@proz9c i really recommend you to check the elev8r. it also will give you the chance to use a torch like an 'ol good smoker, and heavy hits that will shock u (stronger than smoking)
and it's only 55$ for the rig-kit kit....I'm pretty sure the ELEV8R can hit harder than an EVO ....
check it out

@GoldenBud I was just about to buy this yesterday because it was rather cheap actually, but I stopped because it's convection based. According to @lazylathe that ain't the best for hash, which makes sense to me.

Convection dabs/hash IS THE WAY TO GO! the taste is better and it's much efficient.

The higher tolerance folks on FC rave about the Flowerpot so if you were looking for a desktop setup YaMon's suggestion is on point. For a rapid extraction portable I also recommend the og Sticky Brick though since you brought it up. I primarily use an assortment of RBT vapes: four Splinter Zs, two Milaanas, and some smaller Splinter setups. Those vapes suit my style and use cases really well but my og Brick is my heaviest hitter and can easily extract .3g or more in a few monster hits. The flavor, ritual and control are first rate too. I'd use mine more often but it's not as efficient as my Splinter routine.

Can't seem to find them?
I used to do a lot of straight kief bowls in the EVO ELBs and it worked great!

I’ve owned a Supreme, EVO, FlowerPot, dynavaps, and many others ... I still have most of these and I do think the EVO is a solid choice ... I’ve never tried the flowerpot with straight hash but would likely work well.

honestly my preference might be the EVO or the Supreme (electric) ...

@proz9c , what you have to learn is what style(s) of vaporizer you like - butane, conduction, convection? Until you experience each of these types of vapes you won't know which you like most. You enjoy the VC, so at least know you like butane.

I would seriously research @JCat 's suggestions (Supreme, Evo) & throw the suggested NV V-rod & StickyBrick into the mix. These are all highly-respected, heavy-hitting vapes.

Isn't TNT Woodscents basicly just a fancy IH?

No, it's a wooden log-style, convection-based vape. There's the Woodscents, the Enano, the Underdogs & the Heat Island. All have threads on FC. All worthy of your consideration down the road. I think everyone should try a log.

To show you the power of a log vape, here's the best log hit I've ever seen. *& nobody shows the power of a vape through water like  @AJS!

Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
Flower pot is a excellent vape and pretty good with traditional style hash, I like to use a razor blade to cut off a thin sheet and top the bowl with it. I also like my dynavap with a terp pearl for hash.

PS your not alone with smoking hash with tobacco, I still like a piece of hash on top of a bed of colts rum and wine tobacco.

A traditional pollen hash is probably the hardest thing to vape and most messy. Never put pollen hash into a concentrate device like dab-pen, e-cig or a concentrate attachment for herb vapes. All of those depend on the concentrate to be meltable and evaporable without leaving any mess behind. A pollen hash will not do that, it will mess them up.

I think the only way you can vape pollen hash is to grind it together with weed into an fluffy weed-hash mixture without any large chunks and then vape that just like weed in a herb chamber of a vape. Don't put more hash than weed into the mixture or you'll risk clogging it. I don't think there's any way to way only pure pollen hash. The hash pieces should be as small as possible, if they are chunky, the vape will not be able to reach the goodies inside, only on the surface, but it will also dry it up, so you could then break the chunk easily with by stirring and make more vapor accessible with the next hit. I think a convection vape would work much better for vaping such a mixture. A conduction vape would work too, but weaker.

Don't forget to empty (and better - brush) the bowl after the session when it's still warm, it you leave hash ABV to cool down in the bowl, it could clog it up. That is also applicable to only weed, but hash especially.

I would advise to try steer away from pollen hash if you want to vape, find meltable concentrates for concentrate vapes or try to get back to pure weed. Do you need hash medically? If not, then a need for hash is a sign of tolerance out of control (or shitty weed...?), then I would advise to jsut bear with the disappointing effects of pure weed for few days and the brain will adapt and turn that back a to a new normal like the hash effects used to be.
