Alert: Honda Stealing FC Name

I was checking out some cars on the Honda website and came accross a specific concept car, the FC sport. When describing the car they write that the FC Sport has the, "handling and sleek looks of today's fastest sports cars, yet without the noise, heat, vibration and emissions of the internal-combustion engine. Built as a design study, the FC Sport demonstrates Honda's vision for making environmentally responsible vehicles that are also fun to drive." This almost sounds like a perfect parallel to vaping to me. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if there's a FC member here who works for Honda.

Honda does however go on to claim that "The FC stands for Fuel Cell as in hydrogen fuel cellthe same technology powering the FCX Clarity". Whether to believe this or not is your choice.

I like that! whether it's true or you're thinking outside the box it's a good "conspiracy theory". Read in depth article just this week detailing how this kind of market driven design is "anti-Honda" and what led to the demise of the Honda Element.

That article gives me respect for the Element; I never realized it's true purpose. Kinda makes me want one now(but not really).

Another FWD so-called sport hybrid/electric.

Fuel cell and fun are mutually exclusive. If I recall correctly Honda's previous fuel cell efforts were extremely limited production, available in only a few markets and were not available for sale. They could be leased for 6 years for $60,000.00.

There are several decent fwd sports cars. Look no further than VW/Audi for several fine examples (GTI, GLI, S3, S4).

Why not just grow hemp, make ethanol and drive cars on that. It has no carbon impact.
The ethanol is like a racing fuel, allowing high(14-15 bar I think or wahtever) compression because of the 110 octane rating.
It would not require any change in infrastructure. You can run all current gasoline engines with small modifications.

Has there been any study as to how efficient hemp seed production is, in an acre-to-barrel of ethanol kind of level? I know the guv't has said that corn ethanol is pretty damn inefficient at current processing efficiency, and that if we used all available farmland in the US it wouldn't cover our own gas usage. I think the study said that corn was the most plausible for the US but did not include hemp at all in their consideration.
