I'm wondering generally how long a moderate single dose edibles session lasts people? I.E., how much time does it take after one medium dose of edibles cannabis until you no longer feel significant effects? I've included a poll that people can vote on too (it's anonymous and people can change their vote), but by all means post feedback as well.

I'm still feeling out how edibles affect me personally :2c:. Recently, I'd estimate a moderate single dose edibles session lasted me ~8 hours; that was the amount of time from when I ate product until I no longer felt significant effects. I know the length of time can depend on a number of factors such as physical activity, how little/much food is in the stomach, dose, etc... but for the sake of simplicity give your feedback from a moderate middle-of-the-road single dose edibles session experience (and disregard outlying extreme examples). 8 hrs seems like a long time to me but I've had similar cannabis edibles experiences before .

Multiple eating sessions don't apply to this question or the poll (i.e., where people munch on edibles more than once over time), but you're welcome to post discussion of those details. I've ingested edibles often more than one time over a day as I have tried to dial in my dosage... and doing that sure seems to make me feel like I have experienced effects for an extended period of time ⏳. So after figuring out dose, I'm now trying to figure out when it's the best time to take edibles. Edibles seem to affect people differently so we'll see what posted.

Thx for any feedback. Cheers

I'm not sure if my answer could help you because we make our own cannacaps. Theyre probably stronger than store bought. But for me an average would be roughly 6 hours. Less with a lighter dose, more with a higher dose.

This is so personal though, I know folks who'd have a panic attack at our low dose caps. And I know people that barely feel a strong dose. I don't know any way to tell except to try. And frequent users are effected less than when they were relative noobs.

I do light doses in the day time when I can't medicate with a vape, and stronger ones before bed that also help with sleep. Sometimes after a strong dose, I feel slightly buzzed in the morning, like 8-9 hours after injesting. Coffee seems to revive the buzz for a brief time.

It's possible our versions of what constitutes a moderate dose probably differs, but I can relay my own personal experience. For me a moderate dose is approximately 50mg and the effects typically last me 6 to 7 hours.
If I were to take a larger dose, say 100 mg, that will usually extend it out to 8 hours for me.

I've ingested edibles often more than one time over a day as I have tried to dial in my dosage..

In my experience thats the hardest part. I have a lot of different types of medibles, with different strengths to try from. But just like vaping or smoking you can build a tolerance, and its personal. My wife can handle a lot more than me and I out weigh her, but like I said its personal.

My favorites are those that I can vary the dose by eating less or more. Medicated honey butter is good for this.

Just make a strong dose of medicated butter and mix in an equal amount of honey and whip air into it. I use 2 ml of a winterized rso/feco to a cup of honey butter. That makes one tsp a strong dose and 1/2 tsp a more moderate dose. Lots of ways to use it, from straight to toast, bagels or whatever.

On a side note im finding using rosin and low heat, in medibles, makes eating it a more like a vaping experience. And when I use feco sometimes I add a couple drops of orange oil. Orange oil is edible as a flavoring ingredient, and high in limonene. Limonene is a terpenes that has an uplifting effect. Again its more like vaping to me. Usually its hard to tell a sativa from an indica. My thinking is adding terpenes helps, but my evidence is anecdotal.

In general though you just have to experiment to find out what works for you.
