With the stem down my thinking is the herbs will stay in the stem, rather than falling out of the stem and onto the heater screen. This could be alleviated by using a screen at the end of the stem, which I prefer no to do. I would also add that most pockets narrow toward the bottom which is ideal for the stem, but as you point out this could be at the risk of lint intrusion. We could go off on a long tangent on how to mitigate lint in pockets, but rather than derail the thread I am going to pursue @dzoinp ‘s cork idea.

Yeah I was thinking about the shape of a pocket lol to prevent any potential crumbs falling out of the stem (which again as mentioned is not really an issue since there is a screen protecting the heater) I instead always take a first hit, upside down, on the lowest possible setting, before taking TM out and about. That way the load is completely firm in the stem, no worries about any crumbs falling and no need for an additional screen cap (which I have personally found to be more of an inconvenience and less efficient too). FWIW I've had it in a sweatshirt pocket sideways a lot and honestly I don't really think I've noticed any link getting into the stem at all? lol

Cut a piece of cork, make a hole and put it in the stem.
The finish depends on the tool and your skill.
There are more complicated things in life! :mental:

This is not just getting here and giving suggestions, folks! lol
You need to prove that your idea works :myday::rofl:

Has anyone received their unit that is past #285? I have lost all confidence that I am still in the correct order. I have two orders on his site one says voided and one says canceled?

Numbers do not correlate to anything but country or region....

His order system drops the order automatically as there is some 30 day hold max.

If your orders were older than 30 days..that is what happens. Just reorder.....he has the original order input to know.

Guys, surely these delays are related to covid19 ...

"...the isolation of Helsinki and the entire surrounding region, where there is the greatest contamination focus in the country, to limit the spread of the new coronavirus."

No reason to reorder, he will reach out when the time comes to pay (extreme patience time!)

I did check the o-ring. Its in place so i really dont understand but i’m gonna contact the maker and we Will see. Thanks for the info!
most likely, you installed the mesh (screen) holder incorrectly . you need the wide rims to stand up and you can see them
Or either the o-ring that stands under the metal panel (as said @SquirrelMaster above ) is leaky. check it out

in any case, everything will work when you correctly hermetically assemble the device back. and I wrote about it to the Creator for nothing. it took me more than 10 attempts

I was not sure about that part.....back months ago.....about a week or so after my first payment got cancelled from the 30 day limit of hold.....I made another payment and the order was ready in a day or two after that anyway. I was just being preemptive as it was all spelled out for us early order's.

Just another data point re: customer service -

I emailed the maker, asking if I could add the two O-ring sets to my order. Less than 48 hours later, I got a reply and I'm all set.

In my email, the very first thing I wrote was that I was NOT asking for an estimated date on my TM, I know how busy he is, and I'm very patient. He seemed to appreciate that. :)

Wow!... guys thanks for so many likes!
Well...i already post another mod much better then the cork...
For those that put the greens 4mm away from the heater screen, liked to tamped the bowl, and don't want to struggle with another screen... I use like this

With the original ring and screen placed on the TM (the screen must be properly inserted in the slot) the rimed domed screen is stuck and when inserting the stem it will be inserted into it.

I have read here about people "stirring" by twisting the stem during or between hits, and I assumed the flower was getting "stirred" because of the friction against the Heater screen.

But here's my question: When using that rimmed screen above, and the stem is twisted, does the rimmed screen stay in place while the stem turns, effectively making the rimmed screen the stirrer? Or does the rimmed screen turn right along with the stem, accomplishing nothing?

You misunderstand the purpose of twisting the stem, it does not stir the load at all (that will typically remain firmly in place after the first hit until it is unseated), rather it just allows you to avoid any hot spots that may start to form when you like to rip your hits. Honestly I don't find either very necessary in the TM (though I do do the stem twist), and I am a temp stepping cloudy flavor chaser who used to be a staunch advocate for stirring all pure convection vapes...

I twisted the stem before ... when I put the greens at the end of the stem and just because there were little dark spots (ring)
With the 4mm greens away there is no hot spot

It is impossible to stir by touching only the top of the greens

Ah - I obviously misunderstood. Thanks!

Vaporific

All who wander are not lost...
I don’t stir and usually two draws in I check the flower (the honeymoon phase continues BTW). I do get ring-y patterns. I then finish the load by temp stepping just a bit with another 2-3 draws. I can tell there’s not much left in the tank after that. The final AVB is usually consistent but not uniformly perfect. I however am usually sated which is what matters most. I’ve been using a simple dome screen below the CU herb chamber to keep everything cleaner. I don’t think the vapor quality or operation is hampered by using the dome screen. The material stays put in the dome screen with a light tamp when loading. For someone who is a relative novice with stems, this one is easy and a pleasure to use.

The biggest change for me honestly with the Tinymight is how I’ve been storing ground flower to facilitate loading the stem. I tend to grind in bulk so I don’t have to often. The Tinymight rocks!

And speaking of which - TGIF! :brow::leaf::peace:
