Dnail dishes fit the Vrod, so if they offer a quartz dish, you could pick one up from them. It is correct that it is just not as popular. It has been concluded, on this forum, that the taste of SiC is simply superior than quartz.

Please correct me if im wrong.

They seem to have a nice material selection, expensive though

I'm waiting for 420 to pull the trigger. I'm not sure as for which head I'll choose. I don't dab often (rarely) but I like to have the option since I'll get the carb cap anyway. The Vrod is not compatible with the coil I have so I'm not sure if it is worth paying for the coil too. Showerhead I heard is good for flower but the dabs don't taste as good as the Vrod which is not a big deal for me.

Should I pull the trigger on the showerhead?

last year they did 20% off. I’m hoping to grab a vrod bundle! I’ve heard way too many good things about this vape. Should cure my VAS for a while.

Please stay safe Flowerpot Fam. I'd like to address a couple of recent posts.

1) quartz dishes for the vrod. The quartz dishes were discontinued because of the randomness of them being hand made. We felt they did not integrate well with the machined vrod. Dnail does have a 28mm machined quartz that will work. However it's more expensive and inferior to our sic IMO.

2) IMO I still prefer the vrod head for flower over the weedeater and showerhead. I believe this is because the vrod top is closed off by the sic dish and retains heat better. The blowback is also decreased by the closed top design. I always tell people if you can only afford one go with the vrod. The weedeater is lighter, cheaper, and more balanced. We tried to put the showerhead out to pasture but customers and wholesale keep ordering them.

3) The single (more expensive) double weave screens were discontinued because our supplier of the less expensive ti screens was able to provide the same double weave material at a much cheaper price. We compared the 2 suppliers screens under our microscope and determined we could not tell a difference. 3pk of ti double weave screens is now less than the older single screen. The dia of the newer screens are .75" instead of the older double weave was .76". I continue to drop my ti screen into hot alcohol and it fizzes perfectly clean and should last the customer a long time. I can't officially advise heating alcohol as it is very dangerous. I'd love to hear how others safely clean their screens.

4) we have finally moved our eCommerce platform from magento to shopify. Please bare with us as we make the necessary adjustments during the change over. It appears that our international dhl shipping rates are much better than they were prior. This is due to the fact that shopify is able to collectively negotiate better shipping rates by combining all there customer shops together.

Thank you for your continued support during these crazy times. The spine implants that we make classify us as an essential manufacturer. We have a big factory with very few people and are not open to the public. We will continue to make and ship orders as long as we can. I can assure you that if anything changes regarding our business we will never disappoint our customers by not shipping, or refunding their orders in a timely manner. We recognize that our success in this industry is completely based around how we treat our customers. Please continue to send tech support, and order questions to support@newvape.com

Same here except that I want a Vrod setup. All added to cart and waiting for the coupon to purchase.

A question: is the auber controller an upgrade over the dhgate enail I have? I love the nub but $110 are $110!

Have you heard about the boom on Mizar 5?
I'd order the Auber stand this second if the 4/20 sale was started early lol

Wow, Yes! I've actually always preferred the function of the newvape branded controller as I don't need a auto shutoff and do fine with the buttons but that is beautiful! Maybe if this coil ever dies I'll be getting a whole new controller as well for that set up.

Please stay safe

And I would say the same to you and the NewVape family. The price we are now paying to ensure our safety is very small compared to the great gift of the rest of our lives.

IMO I still prefer the vrod head for flower over the weedeater and showerhead.

Ah, now this is why people make different vapes for....different people. I have not used a WE, but I have experience with the VROD and for flower only, I personally prefer my SH....but, viva la difference, yeah?

our supplier of the less expensive ti screens was able to provide the same double weave material at a much cheaper price.

Wow, at one time I thought you bought some tool/tooling to make these our of mesh sheet stock???? Was I hallucinating at the time? LOL

I'd love to hear how others safely clean their screens.

I drop my SH with the screen into some ISO in a zip lock bag and then into the small, cheap ultrasonic cleaner I have. Comes out perfect. When I was younger...much younger...I would torch screens clean but it clearly degrades them and those were just steel screens. The dbl Ti screens, I def am more gentle with them and I'm still using the same dang screen after...what, a couple of years???

People, do yourself a favor...if you have to save up for it then please do...but a home ultrasonic cleaner has made my life so much simpler.

You take care, Edwyn. Keep your head down and your powder dry.

P.S. - wow, just saw your Auber cover....very sleek and I love the engraving.

Cheers

What do you use it for beside screens? I imagine bangers, nails, and stems, but curious if you have more uses for them. and which one do you have?

I'm also super curious as to how to use an ultrasonic cleaner on dishes and bangers, and which kind of model is good to look for

I use it for anything that will fit in there...grinder parts, Enano stems, MV1 crucibles, EVO ELBs, various stuff I use for vaping tools, and my SH and I don't even take the screen out...just dump the whole thing in there.

Not sure which one I got is that relevant because it seems like, with many items from China, there are a bunch of different brands basically selling the same unit.

I did get this one:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JXQ9P5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If I had to do it again, I would probably get a 2 liter or so.

Yes. 100%. Dont get a cheap plastic one if you can. Mine broke very, very quickly. Very flimsy. Not worth it. Find the thread around here folks and get a metal one :)

Its fupping beautiful aint it? I darent look at the price as I still have to buy an Auber controller yet :D NO SPOILERS!

Wait so these are exactly the same as the original double weave in terms of the mesh size / permeability? For some reason I thought the new ones allowed more material to pass through. If they are exactly the same but cheaper then that is good news. Why were people wanting the old ones back?

IMHO because we did not know this background. That said the original DW Screens cost me an arm and a leg., so I see the new screens as a big plus. That said I am still on my original DW Screens.

I was going to say, there is a “blog” post on the NV site that showed magnified images of the screens compared, and an explanation. But while google brought up that link, it seems that page has been removed.

I had two OG DW screens. One went down the drain during a cleaning... Oops. The other one was on its last legs from 2 years of use. So I ordered the new ones recently. I was happy that I got 3 for $5. The new screens work fine.

To clean my screens, I just get a pair of tweezers and hit the screen with a lighter. Then drop it in some water to cool it off.

When I ordered my screens, I also ordered one of those glass bowls. That thing is nice.

On a different note, I have an old showerhead and have been dabbing on titanium since I got it. Recently, I got the quartz EOK for my Da Buddha and have seen the light. With 4/20 around the corner, I am eyeballing that VROD/Tbucket. I love my showerhead and I know its one of the best in show for flower. For dabs though... If you already had one, would you upgrade to the VROD or get a Tbucket instead?
