For what its worth, my '18-M use to restrict more on the first cooling click. My solution -

Didn't want to file the '18 - this also provides a little clearance at the fins.

Interesting, while reading far too much on Vapcaps, your mod reminded me of some posts where folks were talking about not having their cap all the way on. Obviously, one would load, then not fully push the cap on, and then torch, I was confused while reading them, I believe their issue was to gain more airflow.
(this would not work on IH heaters where you have to press down on the sensor/switch)

Your inner cap mod, would solve the IH issue above. Since this is my first VapCap, I want to spend time using it as designed, then go from there. In the end, I guess I’m a no carb user, though I do play with the carb near the middle/end of my draw. I don’t currently believe there is any small mod I do, that would give my old lungs, using just the Tip/Head by itself on a wand enough flow. But, I may try moving the cap out one “notch”, before I heat it, and do anther water piece attempt.

Here is my concern with moving the cap away from the tip. And I bring this up for debate, as why not?

Do experienced VapCap owners mess with moving their cap away from the tip, to gain airflow? Since it’s not designed this way, my first thought is this could effect torch heating, as the cap is not in its default position. A small negative might be a little material falling out, I assume fine grind would be more of a candidate.

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I’m extremely happy with using this device as designed. But as soon as you remove the tip, to use it to drive a water piece, the carb on the handle is now out of play, and the air is now only coming through the tip area. And for those that can handle that restriction, I’m jealous.

Really enjoying my 2020 M It can be used like others and it will deliver a longer smoother, tastier experience. Or go longer after the click and it will give a fuller hit. The XL with Ti mouthpiece works great! I don't flip the body. How about a angle on the spinning mouthpiece to work like the new M? Do you know the inside of the cap is engraved now....lol....SQUIRREL!

What is the complimentary tube, code VG-FT20 that is included for free when I add the 2020m to my cart at dynavap website?
It’s a Karmavap (or Cvap)

per Dynavap:
“With your new 2020 "M" is a KarmaVap, which is intended as a gift for our DynaVap customers to share into the DynaVerse. Pre-orders will continue through the end of March, as planned. The purpose of the KarmaVap is to help others. Please share it with the people you care about. Please visit dynavap.com/karma for more information.
From this point forward, KarmaVaps will no longer be included. Instead, a C-Vap will be included with The 2020 "M" pre-orders. We ask that you please give your C-Vap to someone you care about in this time of uncertainty. The "C" is for caring, compassion, community... or whatever that may be from you.”

In other words: a free 2019 M to give to someone!

You are not an oddball, Ton. Just strange (in a nice kind of way).

For instance WTF are you talking about, “another trick”. You can be confusing, af?

Even a broken clock, is right twice a day.....

It’s his inverted DV INVERTED screen mod, geez how could you miss it in this thread..
BUT, this is a great CU photo, and indeed shows the screen lifted off the rim that holds the screen. Wether or not this makes a difference, is up to those to try. I’m resisting do any mods no matter how small, as I never owned one of these before. I do know, I’d love an IH heater one of these days, I’ll. Probably break down and buy the Chinese IH wax melter for $50, rather then sitting on an expensive list forever.

If you're dangerous with a soldering iron, you could get parts to hold you over.

I didn't get this VC screen trick until recently. I thought heck, 10%, go for it... but no... :disgust:

A little Dyna Porn. I have been finding all kinds of things to do to pass the time at home. I cleaned and waxed all the Vapcaps. Here is my current collection. I'm missing my Vortex and I will have a new custom Khelek stem that is simply magnificent soon. Thanks to quite a few FC members that helped me grow my collection @danielj, @TommyDee, @phattpiggie, @ArtisansDaughter, @Ed's TnT, @mistvaporizer @Sneaky Pete and all those that gave me great deals on pieces from their own collections.

@nonamekevin man that's a tough question.

If I was on a desert island I would keep the Vortex with 20 "M" tip. The Vortex has only 2 parts so not much to go wrong or lose and it's indestructible.

For aesthetics, it would be my new stem crafted by @khelek41girl that I have only seen photos of. I told her what I was thinking I wanted, she designed it, and knocked it out of the park! It might not appeal to everyone but its exactly what I wanted.

But the stem I seem to use the most is my 2mmXL with the Ti nectar collector tip as the mp. It's the 12th one in, in the picture of the glass stems. It's probably not the coolest or best performing setup but there is just something about it that I really like.

So here's the thing. There are thousands of us who have learned to use VapCaps over the last (almost) 5 years and love them. They are a little different than most vapes in that for normal use you hit them differently, you pull with your mouth rather than with your lungs. Like pulling on a cigar, or even a cigarette, the negative pressure comes from your mouth rather than your diaphragm or lungs. Then you inhale what you have pulled into your mouth.
When you use glass or some other device that you attach to your VapCap you often CAN pull with your lungs and it becomes a more traditional device, but otherwise mouth pulling is the key to success with VapCaps.
I'm sure VapCaps are not for everyone, but many many who don't get how they work at first come to love them after a little instruction and practice. I know because I was one of those people.
I have an omni, several m's, ti woodi and a nonavong xls and i never use the mouth to lung technique. only use it with the glass stems sometimes. So mouth to lung is not necessary for vaping. I get more clouds with mouth to lung but it hurts my throat more. Everybody got their own preferences

Donno what the big deal is with humongous clouds.

My preference is a gentle lift off of my wings,
With a microdose.

If I want to be air borne in the stratosphere, I have my cCell Dart. 97% THC.

Rather than power up, I prefer to glide up, up, and over the Himalayahs.

Into the beautiful

It is a CCD that is convex instead of concave. @RustyOldNail hit the nail on the head. Basically maintain the cone shape when you remove the CCD and put it back in so the cone points towards you. Use a 5/16 tube to install. Easy removal for cleaning without deformation but won't blow out or scrape out with the pointy cleaner which I use religiously. For loads with lots of kief, I estimate a 2:1 flow improvement minimum.

 This isn't for everyone of course. This is for those who don't like their current experience. My experience went from night to day and then some. I always 'hoped' for a decent draw every time I loaded a tip. Now the restricted draw is the outlier.

Oh, dang, forgot... there is trick 3! However, this is not draw related. This is cooling related; 5" vape path length through a low thermally conductive material minimizes honey condensation while providing significant cooling and maximizes bio-availability. Okay, that trick is quite subjective but I'm sticking too it. I hear glass would qualify for this observation.
