I just wanted to tell everyone at EpicVape thank you for assisting me when I reached out to customer service. The popularity of the E-Nano no doubt has them all working around the clock.

I also want to let anyone who is thinking about purchasing the E-Nano wood dimmer cord that they should 100% do it! The wooden dimmer cord is a huge upgrade from the plastic power cord. The weight keeps it securely placed wherever you leave it and the cord itself is forgivingly long. You never have to worry about it flopping around or movinging temperatures like the plastic power cord. The wooden dimmer cord also compliments the look of the E-Nano. It's a beautiful addition.

What is the difference between the cord material?

Is the dimmer/wood part weighted with extra weight? Or is it just natural weight?

@baxter, I asked Joda @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd to make me a carbed gong for the nano about 2 years ago. It is one of my most cherished glass pieces. No need for a separate gong and adapter. You could pm him and see what he can offer you.
I was able to choose either 14 or 18mm and how fancy you want it. I went with a basic clear boro glass for a reasonable price IMO.

I no longer have the original cord to compare the material but the wooden dimmer cord feels solid and not stiff.

The wood part feels weighted. It doesn't budge unless you intentionally do so. It looks well crafted. Look at the dial on my pic. That is one of the best features. You can tell where the dial is set no matter what angle your looking at it from.

If you have been thinking about upgrading you should.

The cord material is the same (VERY flexible) as the newer standard cords.

The wood portion definitely has some metal plates in it because its stable af for how big it is.

As has been said, a highly worthwhile upgrade

That sounds really cool. Do you think you can post a picture of yours?

Alas, I have not felt comfortable uploading pictures, but I can point you in the direction of Joda's thread. If you check out post #205, you'll see a bunch of his past work for nanos.
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/joda-glassworks.13915/page-9

The more color and detail the higher the cost. I was looking for functionality mainly so mine is shaped like one of the gongs in the middle of the picture. Round in the middle like a large marble, but all clear glass. Joda did throw in a few dabs of color on it as a generous extra. He sizes the pieces perfectly to the nano heater, and of course the best part is the perfectly placed carb hole.

A real fun piece, and reduces the amount of glass the nano has to teeter on top of. My set-up had been looking like a organic chemistry distillation rig.

Did you reach out to them through phone or email ? I had sent an email like a week ago and haven't heard back, I'm thinking at this point they must have missed it and maybe I should just call them.

I e-mailed then later called them at the recommendation of some FC members. I believe they are a small organization and are short handed. I would imagine that their staffing needs may not have improved given the current situation of the world.

At the end I spoke with them and they were very pleasant to work with. I have to believe that if they are indeed a small organization then they are doing a wonderful job with limited staff.

Happy to report Epicvape replaced my faulty Gong with another really quickly! These Gong adapters seem better quality than the originals, possibly slightly thicker too, but there is obviously still a bit of variation in the tube diameters as all 3 gongs I received in total have slightly different diameters (with one being too narrow).

I finally got around to upgrading the cable with a soft silicone cable. Finding a re-wireable plug took some searching on ebay but was worth it as the new plug is smaller and lighter. This plug requires soldering- there are no screw terminals inside (and no space for them).

Results are excellent: now the cable is much lighter, does not pull or twist, and using with a bubbler is a lot less hassle. It seems to me the original cable was unnecessarily heavy duty for the low currents we're using here (0.2 Amps?) but I guess Epicvape wanted to be safe.

Here you can see how much more supple silicone cable is, and why I am asking for a shorter GonG adapter!! Pretty please?

I also bought a female-to-male cable and cut out the female socket to add to my cable, so as to avoid cutting the original cable. So I basically made a 2m long extension cable. (the wires are soldered together and individually isolated, obvs)
20200321-104712.jpg

Now the enano can sit at the edge of a table without trouble!

And here's how it was with the OG cable... using the base stand was essential.

I did something similar as @Haze Mister. Only I didn’t have a rewireable plug like him.

The power socket on my nano cracked. I found a replacement socket in my parts/junk box, but instead of replacing the bad one, I decided to gut the socket and epoxy in an XT connector (used in the R/C hobby) instead. Then I made a thinner, lighter, more flexible cord with an XT plug on one end and the C8 socket on the other end to make an extension cord of sorts.

The result is a much, much nicer experience than using the original bulky cord. I made the cord a bit longer too. And the new plug feels tighter, lighter and more secure than the old one.

The power used by the nano is modest and my wire and XT connector specs far exceed that. There has been no heating drop using the same settings. If anything, it performs better. I love my e-nano!

Doing this is not for everyone, as soldering is required and I already had everything to do this. But it’s an example of how things could be improved. I’ve not tried Epic’s latest & greatest cords, but zip cord is more rigid and not as flexible as a quality round cord because of the way it’s made with two wires bonded together, making sideways bending stiffer & twistier. All IMO of course.

Just got my E-Nano from PIU. Coming from a SSV it's a nice change of pace to have this smaller bowl and quicker extraction. Especially with the recent WFH situation I'm in.

Are there any tips or tricks I should be doing? Debating getting one of the nicer cords from the EpicVape site, is it worth it compared to the normal cable?

Wait to see if you need the new cord or if its an appealing ecstatic addition. As to tips if you went with the fixed glass screen adapters and stems order a couple adjustable ones too they are different enough to have a different set of advantages. The company also makes their glass in house so don't be afraid to give them a call if something doesn't fit right, they will on occasion have a piece of glass that off a bit. Stock up on ISO the Nano preforms and tastes best the cleaner its kept. If you have a collection of bubblers, bongs and such from your 7th Floor unit start with the small capacity pieces first if you decide you need or want water. Good Luck and enjoy.

I can see the cord being an issue already. Sort of annoying how the cord is managed from the base unit IMO. I also did get adjustables for dry and for the GonG adapter I got. I saw the issues with the fixed glass, and I knew I would want a bigger bowl pack :)

I did run into that with the included stem to be honest, but the other side of the stem was flatter so it all worked out. So far the GonG has been impressive, but I love direct draw. The flavors really come alive!

I have had some charring issues though, had to lower the temps down, but then I wasn't getting as dark of a roast as I'd like.

In addition to adjusting the temp setting, consider these other steps:
- adjust setting the screen so that the heater is closer/further away from the herb
- change the rate at which you draw air through the glass. A slower draw can give you thicker vapor.
- adjust the grind from fine to coarse to just putting a whole little nug in there.

I'm sure there are other tips I'm forgeting.

Can someone tell me what the differences between the fixed glass stem vs the adjustable screen stem? And what do you like in each stem? Is the taste different between the stems? I’m debating on which to buy. Thanks for the help!!

Glass Screen
Leaks bits of bud if you grind too fine because the holes in the glass screen have to be bigger to maintain air flow.
Some say the glass screen pieces taste better, being a tasteless bastard I don't.
Glass screen stems and adapters cost more, irrelevant unless you break them too often.

Wire Screen
Allows for adjusting not only the load size but where the load sets in relationship to the hot air stream coming out of the vape body.
If kept clean the wire screen pieces taste almost as good as the glass screens.
I find wire screened pieces easier to clean

In the end both versions work well.

Things to also consider, stem lengths (longer cooler) and the newish Ice Stem (even cooler) all those options have their place but for the most part not my cup of tea.

Hey guys, I won an Enano from Epicvape during their Super Bowl instagram giveaway at the beginning of this year. They said they would mail it out but its been months and I haven't received anything. I've emailed, sent IG messages and called with no response except every few weeks they'll say "oh sorry yeah we'll get that out today or tomorrow" and then weeks or a month goes by with nothing. I'm really bummed because I was super hyped to get an enano. :( Does anyone have any suggestions? Are they active on here?

I'm not sure who I was talking to. The only responses I got were from the customer support email and the IG messages. Now they aren't responding from either of those. It shows they've seen my messages on IG but no response. I can't get anyone on the phone and I've tried facebook. I'm all out of ideas. I'm beginning to think I'm not going to receive anything. I just wish they wouldn't have hyped me up and said I won a enano and then ghost me.

Nadia, you want to talk to Nadia if it won't happen on the phone try from here (nadia_epic) where she gets all the good stuff as a company rep. Free trips to Vegas, bags of swag and a reserved parking spot at the EpicVape World Headquarters.

Congrats! @nadia_epic well take care of you.
Which team did you opt for?

Hope all here and their loved ones are well. Down to just using the e nano and vapcaps to economize my stash whilst on lockdown. .
Nothing more efficient then those two working together.
Got my 3 year pin today here @ F.C.
Stemfulls are on me. :D

I choose the SF. I told them they could also send a plain one if it was easier since I'm not a huge football fan lol. I really hope they come through. I want to use a gong through my favorite bong so bad.
