Hi guys, I've had a Milaana 2 since January however on two occasions the glass joint has become loose and the retailer has had to warrant me a replacement each time. I'm a little concerned now that the seal is once again, starting to become loose. Any ideas or suggestions for how this problem can be solved? Cheers

This happened with my Mi 2 also. Somewhere back in the thread you'll find some fixes. I've been living with my loose joint since I got it virtually. At times, it fixes itself back into place and others it's loose. I looked locally for glues and read around about how others remedied their loose joints but I have just developed a habbit of keeping a finger on the joint so as not to let it slip out or be pulled out when I remove my stems. So far so good. I probably should get some adhesive in there. My theory as to why this happened with the 2 is because some early adapters worried about the air path and whether glue got into it. It didn't but nonetheless RBT seemed to modify things with the 2 by moving the air intake to below the joint and perhaps even using less glue in the joint for which reason it becomes dislodged more easily. My strong hunch is that this issue was not an issue with the most recent version of the Mi 2 (still available for any one who appreciates a quality vape). Who knows what's up with the Mi 3 it's way early but if anyone's looking for value in a vape pick up one of the Mi 2 before they're gone. I'm getting itchier by the day.

Sorry first picture attempt, so not sure if that works.
My new Milaana Dos is finally home safe and sound from customs, and it is sitting very pretty. I have absolutely no complaints, and I was getting some nice flavorful, satisfying hits right away. Such a unique experience compared to my other vapes, but still intuitive. I'm instantly an RBT and Milaana fan now, and I just wish I got on board sooner.

Holy f***... I'm instantly hooked with the Milaana II, and I can't seem to put it down. I thought it worked great right away, but it just keeps getting better the more I use it - with better button timing and inhale speeds.
The only thing I'm having trouble grasping is battery life. I have read the general consensus is 3-4 bowls on average, so that's what I'm doing. I've also read that it is very bad for the battery to go below 3.5 v? I'm a total noob with 18650s since I was never in to ecigs. I could use some wisdom about how to ensure I do not go below 3.5, without having to check the battery in a charger. Does the performance dramatically decrease well before that point? I've only really noticed a slight difference in power by my 3rd bowl, but I'm swapping batteries at that point anyway, just to be sure. Is that good practice?
For what it's worth I seem to kill a bowl in 4-5 10ish second inhales, with the botton pressed for ~10 seconds which includes 3-5 second warm up.

Thanks for this info and thanks for the question @Arbornaut. I've been using my Milaana 2 and 3 quite a bit lately and I'm glad to hear from KeroZen to get an understanding of the appropriate voltage levels. I recently ran one of my LG HG2 cells to just over 3V before charging. It was already sagging at that point so I'll have a decent sense of when to switch cells now.
And yeah the Milaana 2 is awesome and I wish I could talk a friend or two into joining the party. I have fun with the Milaana 3 too but mine isn't as even and requires more button and draw finesse unless you're fine killing a bowl in two toasty hits.

I tend to stop by 3.7v if not sooner, I can tell when I have to hold the button longer than usual, but I also have plenty of spares to swap. Often not even using a fresh fully charged one either, since I have several vapes that use the same batteries. Easy to replace batteries too, be easy!

3.7 volts is the best voltage to re charge at, and 3.7v is also the ideal storage voltage. Best practice is to leave unused batteries at 3.7volts until the day they will be used, then stored at 3.7v until the day they will be used again. Another less known tip is a new battery should be cycled a half a dozen times before it is put under load, but this would be a bit difficult with an 18650 unless you had a fancy charger.

When I say "cycle", I am talking about charging the battery in a charger that is capable of charging and discharging a battery continuously for a pre set number of cycles at a low rate before it is used in a device that draws a high current. While this is possible with an 18650, it is not very practical and nobody really does it since 18650s are pretty cheap to buy new ones.
I would say that a good 18650 will still be performing normally at 3.7 volts. A normal use would see the voltage drop to 3 volts or slightly lower under load but when the battery is at rest ( not under load) the voltage will recover to somewhere between 3.2 and 3.7 volts.
If you have used a battery and feel it may be getting low on charge, throw it in your charger and pay attention to the voltage. If it is sitting anywhere above 3 volts it is safe, but for the life of the battery 3.7 volts is the ideal point to stop using and swap for a fresh one.

I've been wanting a dugout for one of these stems since the beginning! I know ddave used to sell a little velcro nylon pouch that held four stems (it used to be sold with all four as well, I tried to buy two and asked for the pouch, but he must have misunderstood me and only sent a plastic battery case with the stems...) Anyway I don't know if it's still available, but maybe there are other options out there too

Getting my 3 has mostly resulted in my appreciating the 2 that much more.
-and I ain’t even mad! It’s a Mustang vs a Shelby thing. I will say though, I’ve smoked (gasp!) a few times in the last few weeks, And the 3, with its aggressive blast, is actually a nice way to “edge”— I’m not combusting per se, but also a quick, toasty bowl is less egregious when you’re comparing to actual burn.
It’s def the most road-ready. At least at the killer preorder price. Seem like I’d be less averse to bringing it with me away from the house. What you really need, is the og glass shorty from the Mi1 Mi2 that fits in the battery hole. 2 batt (!) case, Stem in the hole, Ret to roll.
Better yet, I needs me a woody stem at those dimensions. Reduce break risk for sure.
Annnnnnd this is the Mi2 thread so I’ll stop.

I've got a short wooden capsule stem arriving soon (hopefully) with my TP80, and I'm excited to see if it also fits in the Milaana II. I have a couple short stems that came with my M2, and didnt realize they fit in the battery slot for storage, thanks! They also fit inside those plastic battery cases, so makes sense.

How do owners of wood stems find the taste? My only vapes with wood in the vapour path are my butane variants and the taste varies from piece to piece (depending on species) so I would imagine it would be the same with a wooden Milaana stem? Unless they're glass lined but I didn't think that was the case with any I've come across.
