Very hard to say before the io is out and tested. It should work, at worst requiring a small mod to the power converter or the dummy battery cable length, perhaps. I guess it'll work as is, it is after all replacing the same battery.

Also as the io has a low power mode, at the very least this AC adapter kit should fire that up.

I'm ready to complete my order without the sled, but a little confused between SLS and SLA options... Is it just a superficial difference from the last photo shared between black and clear blue? The materials are different too though so different textures? Both are available now, not the injection mold part that got delayed?

I also need to decide on color for cord, only the green carbon 51 has a metallic sheen it seems from that comparison photo? Thanks again!

SLA is a resin based plastic, think polyeurethane

SLS is nylon and is more expensive to produce, but is more similar to the injection molded part IMO

Both of them are available now, the injection molded part is not.

@Shit Snacks regarding the 'metallic sheen', I think all of the colors have it somewhat due to the material and just depends on the lighting and angle

If we would rather wait on the battery sled and injection molded parts, should we hold off on ordering? Or should we order and just buy the battery mold separately?

Man I am so hype for the black on black. I feel bad as I was one of the people who +1'd for purple but it's a little light for my taste. That said, if it's confirmed to work with the Io and these are still available, I think I ordered mine in purple so I gotta have them match ;) even though that blue looks mighty fine...

Truly amazing work.

Hi Max, I payed through Paypal a while ago, although I don't know if I completed my order or not, I sent you an email with cord color preference but didn't mentionned anything else...

Edit: Did you get replies from Max...? I noticed he didn't replied to all my last attempts since end of January... maybe too much busy...

Re-edit: I gave a look at the website, what did we payed for exactly? he asked me 39$ without shipping... so we can't expect to get that AC kit but only the available Power kit (is there a difference?) All that other parts are they only replacement parts or did we need them in order to get a full working kit?

Sorry for all that questions but this confusing for me... maybe I'll find answers in that thread, I'll read it entirely again!

@PPN , first you pre-ordered for 39$, after that you paid 40$+shipping for the Ac power adapter Kit (without the battery sled) = 79$+shipping ( 22,80$ for me) and now just waiting for tracking number^^

@PPN we are behind on all hopper-related CS inquiries, we should be getting back to everyone by this evening.

We have also resolved our email issues, so once that goes out it will hopefully clear up any confusion that anyone still has about what is happening, what is included, etc.

Yeah in typical fashion, I think I am stuck deciding between all black with SLS or going with the SLA clear blue and turquoise to match? The other option is go with the carbon 51 since there is something special about it, but then I can't decide which power converter at all lol

Ah I did not notice the additional picture of the cables, now I think I have decided on the Blue Carbon after all (I see it has another color woven in like the green 51 does) so now I just need to decide on SLS nylon black or SLA clear blue...

The cast that's transparent is priced at 40 and the other cast is priced at 60, I noticed the same thing.

@Averyminya as we mentioned above the SLS Nylon is a more manufacturing expensive process for us, we are charging the difference in cost of manufacture and materials only. If you aren't happy with your selection when you receive it, we can always get it swapped out for something else down the road.

@virtualpurple we are still working our way through the list, if you don't receive any update from us by tomorrow morning please send us a (new) email.

Ah I see! That was the last factor I had missed, I think I understand everything now and will likely be grabbing the SLA clear blue with blue carbon cable soon! Thanks again for everyone's help, nice to know we can always upgrade later on!

I completed my order and I can't wait to start using it as a desktop. Just cleaned and greased it so its ready.

Honestly, my biggest gripe about it was that after 3 or so bowl hits, it didn't hit as good as it did on that first one. This will make all the hits constant and THAT is what will make this great. I can't wait. It'll easily become my travel vape. I've got a flowerpot and the only vape that tastes as good (not a Volcano), IMHO, (even better really) is the grasshopper. Can't wait!

Hey all, I've finally recieved the illusive @maxvapor710 'Grasshopper AC Adapter Update' email - delivered to my spam folder just over 4 hours ago.

Full details are explained regarding the current situation and the options available to us.

There are one or two typos (what would a pre-release email be without typos?! ;)) but generally excellent work!

@abracadaver Highly unlikely that units would ship that soon as they all need to be completed to individual custom orders with many variable options. But hopefully the in house sls/sla orders get out fairly quickly and assembly times aren't terrible.. hopper on tap baby wooooo!!

Yeah the email doesnt really apply to you if you already put in your order completion and made an informed decision. Hang tight brother!
