Can't believe that accessorie didn't got more attention! I thought the main cons of that S&B vapes was that plastic vaporpath, the FTV SS CU fix that issue.

Although the cooling effect works only for short sessions cause when the CU is hot there is no more cooling effect. If taste is vastly improved efficiency is less... efficient cause all that metal steal a lot of heat... this is means less clouds too.

In a perfect world they have to rethink that CU adding insulation between bowl and CU and to build it with a lot less mass. Maybe even keeping a outside plastic layer and just designing a sort of SS insert you can put in your own CU to improve airpath keeping some qualities of the plastic S&B uses in that vapes (not the average plastic for sure!).

In conclusion I would say I like how that SS CU looks on the top of my Mighty ( thank you for that vape @F@b ) , I like the taste too and the cool vapor for short sessions. Although I don't like how much it affects performances in regard of clouds production and abv color (not so brown!) and how it is harsh for longer session.

Honestly i am not sold on the way it locks metal to plastic ,looks like you can cause damage if you are not carefull Have you seen those vaporizers dissasembled ,after seeing the guts ,i can say there is a bunch of plastic in the airpath and wires in hot areas, so i dont see the metal top contributing to the purity of experience .

Maybe you could try filling the metal unit with glass balls for better cooling effect ?

Plus it had typical French QC, Troy at 420Vapezone's first unit broke his mighty.

Mine for my Crafty arrived just four business days after ordering. Its really a lovely piece, very high quality item and significantly more refined that the one Troy tried. But I'd already broken the lip that holds the cooling unit on with a glass wpa when they fell off the coffee table. I superglued it back together. But I remain concerned that it will break. This SS unit fits tight and don't know if its because of the repair or just the way it is. I'm concerned that the lip will break again where I glued it. Nonetheless, I have used my SS CU a half dozen times this week. I find the vapor much cooler and less irritating to my tired lungs and I'm getting great taste and great hits from the thing. Yeah, it gets hot. but not until I've finished a bowl. And with the refined ribs, it cools down fairly quickly. Again, I really like it.

I don't know if they improved it but mine doesn't seems to be able to break lip although the Mighty I have is already on very bad shape, plastic between heater center part and both side is broken, heater is now only attached to the rest by the bottom part... although when I put the FTV on the top it seems to fit sturdy and even keep the heater in place (remenber it's broken!) better than with the stock CU.

Great post, did you find the abv color to be the same? I found it slightly less dark using that SS CU... although I still use mine cause the taste and these amazingly cool first rips when CU is still very cold!

Yes @Abysmal Vapor I saw that beads trick... but I'm not fan of cleaning and absolutly not OCD! All that beads to clean!!! OMG I'm too lazy for that! In another hand I believe it might cool vapor very, very well for sure, maybe I'll give it a try one of these days!

They also rob a lot of goodies I would rather in me than my reclaim jar, fun to have a play with though.
