I have an IH that I use very rarely. It is nice for convenience and I used to use it alot out in my garage/shop I have slowed down on that type of thing, Im getting old :) so the IH mostly sits on a shelf.

What can I say, I love using the torch, single flame. I have it down to a science now, never combust, but I can push my Omni right up to it almost always.:)

:nod:Hi,
I’ve got two IH a Flux deluxe and a cauldron. I was in early on the FD list and had a V1 it was good but had to go back to MrC a couple of times with the MOSFETs failing (MrC was easy to deal with each time) I got myself a Cauldron to fill in while the FD was away!
The Cauldron works best with my ‘17 M tip (the one with the thick fins) and the dynacoil, it’s like doing a dab, nice big flavourful clouds, gets bloody hot though! I have 3 different tips ‘17M ‘19M and an omni and the Cauldron works with all 3 obviously but I haven’t yet got it to give the best flavour with flower, it gets you baked and does the job but lacks a little flavour imo (‘17M and dynacoil the exception) but still worth it for the price and it’s plug and play/no batteries faff.

The FD since MrC has fixed the issues and raised the coil,is quite frankly on another level. A glass Charlie stem and the omni tip inserted to the first click,2,3,4 take it out and the second click happens as I put it to my mouth and it’s heaven!with flower perfect flavour just like the flower smells, massive clouds, repeat and the flavour is ok go a third time and it gets a bit roasty tasting for me so the first two hits are enough and gives a nice even dark avb:tup:
I’ve also noticed that the ‘19M tip gets both clicks almost together so I can’t go click,2,3,4? Flavour is ok but not as on point with the ti tip.
I’ve had a Sunday morning wake n bake and I’ve forgotten the point I was trying to make  I guess it was to say that just like using a lighter there is a learning curve no matter how you heat your vapcap?

TL;DR
Ya me neither I’m off to find some coffee

Peace love and light

Yeah I’ve done lots of experiments :science: the Cauldron does give flavour it’s just different to the FD. I suppose it’s a bit like heating with a torch when I put the flame close to the clicker I get flavour but it’s lighter than if i put the flame at the other end, then I get a fuller flavour and more extraction. The difference between the two isn’t quite as extreme as that but it’s along those lines. Two heat cycles on the FD leaves a darker avb than two heat cycles on the Cauldron again not by much but it’s definitely more extracted. If I leave the cap in past the click on either I combust.

The exception is my ‘17m tip that paired with the dynacoil stuck in a Bb9 stem fucking rocks! It’s like doing a dab off an erig, tastes amazing and it hits big. It also has seconds between the clicks like the ti tip, where my ‘19m tip clicks almost together (all the caps behave like it when on the 19m tip) I think it must be something to do with the 17m tip being thicker/having more mass it just works perfect with the Cauldron. But the FD for the win when it comes to flower two hits one perfect flavour and one still nice but not as tasty and boom ya done! My wake n bake has turned into a bake n bake so I’m rambling :D

Peace love and light
M

Thanks for the detailed write up! Sounds like you are getting it dialed in!

Pipe’s field may be a bit more flux, while the FD may have been fine tuned, customized
For the mass of a VC...

At any rate, sounds like a fine time. Don’t run into any fake storms. Boom

Regarding the Dynacoil, I recently bought one and put it in a stainless tip yesterday. However, no matter what I tried I could not get the end of the Dynacoil to be mostly flush with the end of the tip. The coil just would not go down any further. I also tried a different tip, with the same experience. I made sure the coil was right side up. I tried a little wax on the outside of the coil and also turned it clockwise as suggested in the Dynavap video. The end of the coil is slightly exposed. Nonetheless, everything seemed to work just fine. :)

Has anyone else had trouble with getting the coil fully inserted into a tip?

@Herbie – did you remove the ccd / screen prior to inserting the Dynacoil?

Yes, I removed the ccd.

I was looking at it again this morning and was able to push it down the rest of the way. No idea why it wouldn’t go last night. It just reached a certain point and that was it. Leaving maybe 1/16 of an inch exposed. I even tried to push it down while it was warm but no go. Additionally, after taking it in and out of the tip a few times, I began to get concerned that the coil might unravel on me.

After seeing the possible difficulties in getting the coil in and out of the tip, I’m thinking I’ll just leave the coil in there forever. Clean it by soaking in hot soapy water, then rinse.

When I was younger, we used to call this pulling out early. Not fullproof by any means. ;)

Yes, sometimes it just doesn't seat all the way and needs to be pushed in a little further. I believe you can put it in and take it out easier when the coil and tip are warm.

I have not taken to the dynacoil very much and prefer wrapping my rosin in cotton instead. My main issue with the DC is the flavor gets compromised. Since the coil still has residue from the previous load, you are mixing your fresh concentrate right in with old reclaim every time. Now I know someone will crack a joke on me for this, but (to me) every hit with my DC tastes like the smell of sharpening pencils. No I've never eaten pencils before.

it might get a bit manky and not taste the best. What I do is put some grain alcohol/ISO in a small dynastash then heat the tip with the coil in then while hot push it out from the other end of the tip straight into the alcohol/ISO it sizzles I shake it a bit then it comes out like new. You can then rinse in water pat dry then stick it back together and do another heat cycle and your good to go. It keeps it tasting fresh.

Haha. “Please, do not interruptus.”

Not always foolproof, as you said.

I just got my first dynavap. I decided to go with the simrell vortex and bought the cap and ti tip for a complete setup. This might be an overkill for a first time dynavap user, but I wanted a better experience. Ironically, I tried one my friends M and hated the feel of it. It just felt cheap to me when twisting it probably because of the grooves was not a fan. The simrell has an amazing feel when it comes using a torch. I am really enjoying it so far.

After much research I too got my first dynavap
The Simrell Vortex.
I took the hi praised from others on the forum and other sites.
The. Simrell is a thing to behold.
The fit and finish is fantastic.
And once I got it figgered out
The hits were cool and fulfilling....
This is for sure a vape to keep for the rest of your life.
However
I’m not happy with it.
It feels weighty and unbalanced In my hand.
The carb hole is hard to find
But the worst for me is the mouthpiece.
( yeah yeah there is no mouthpiece that’s my problem)
It feels horrid on my lips.
Of course this is all tactile for me, but enough to keep the Simrell in the drawer collecting dust.
I wish I had a friend who had a vortex cuz then I would have been able to test it and go a different direction.
In conclusion.
Simrell Vortex is a great vape but just does not feel right to me so I never use it.
I use my Charlie stem now
Simrell is collecting dust.
Just because this is the top of line vape does not mean it will be perfect for you.
As soon as I hit 50 posts the Simrell will be posted in the for sale classifieds
Keep a open eye!!!

I agree, it kind of bothers that the vape had no mouthpiece for an expensive unit, but oh well. The look and feel makes it worth it for me. Plus, I wanted an end game dynavap if there is such a thing.:)

Do you clean the cap?
The instructions say not to soak the cap, do you dip it in alcohol?
I never did it, I cleaned it on the outside with rock wool and on the inside with a cotton swab ... nothing more ..

You can use alcohol or ISO, it will not damage the cap. Don't leave it for days but hours are no problem. Dry before use of course.

The Omni Condenser Explained

Thought this might be helpful. I find that what the Omni condenser is and does can be confusing for people new to Dynavap.

@Pagliachi so funny how everyones needs and tastes are different. The tapered "MP" is on of my favorite parts of the Vortex.

Yeah
Diff strokes ( or should I say puffs??)
4 diff folks
The tip reminds me of a ball point pen tube.
Be great for me if I could get over the small stuff....
Ohhh well....

Don’t know.....
After reading some of these posts by folks
There is NO endgame!!!:brow:

Dynavap has a spinning mouthpiece.....
Check it out.
I guess I should have said that the taper and exit hole diameter and length is not optimum for my "Labium superius oris" and "Labium
inferius oris

:ko::|:rolleyes:
