TinyMight / TM 2

For me another issue is the wood, with the use it starting to get darker and not so good looking, can anyone advice on a wax to use or other method with some photos?

The maker recommends beeswax and it's actually quite simple to use. I just apply a thin layer on the wood by spreading small amounts and kinda rub it in the grain, let it sit for an hour or two, then polish it with a clean piece of cotton cloth or the like. Make sure the wood is clean before applying the wax (@ „darker parts“).

purple led

Purple? :-)

Yeah guys I dono I mentioned it in the other posts, when I put battery in and screw on cap my confirmation vibration and led flashes includes a purple hue along with the red! I thought it was white, but definitely see a purple (white and red combined?) Though yes it is otherwise always red (unfortunately for me)

There is a colour scheme to calibrate the temperature settings, green for 0, turqouise for -1, purple -2, blue-3, orange that looks more like green+1..and red+2 and white+3 the maker dont advocate changing this settings to prevent problems but its doable, he mentioned that he wanted to use also this colour for battery indicator, maybe in the future, by default its green 0 so the device could achieve higher temps (almost close to 320c)
I dont know what different colours when you insert the battery means, could it be showing the actual colour setting as i explain before? i think i will test it since i know how to change between the colour calibration:cool::brow: i will share later

Cheers

I'm not so worried about the wood. I kinda like mine. I do believe it is oak. I don't have anything in the collection like it so it's fine here.

I may have said this before but for those thinking other woods are coming around, I would not plan on that happening anytime soon. I asked him way back in the beginning about alternate choices and he said he had no plans. I totally understand that and certainly at this point. Refine this baby and get production running 100% before you put focus elsewhere.

If there is enough demand down the line I'm sure he'll adapt. Let's face it, it's a great sales strategy to just make a new color/wood and it's what people want at the same time. I know I'd buy another in a different wood type and I know a ton of others that will want to as well, as soon as they get their hands on their first!

Sooo i made a few tests, every temp colour setting chosen i had the same result, once i start to screw the lid the 1st contact shows for a instant a purple colour light, so i guess it doesn't show the current temp calibration setting, i made the suggestion that the colour could chance to show the actual setting so instead of having always a red light it would vary.
I also read that if you leave the device without battery for some time it would reset to factory settings but i cannot say if its true.

Cheers

Oh I never noticed what temp settings I was on when I saw the purple, since I'm all over the dial I just assumed it wasn't always the same one... Will try to pay attention next time!
Edit: no need I see^ lol

This is also cool that this feature is built in, I think it would be really useful for battery and also very nice for temp! I actually might prefer the red flash to green, but I obviously like the purple the most and think I would enjoy turquoise and blue as well...

Upon removing the battery and reinserting it, a split second before I get the buzz to indicate a connection between the battery door, the battery and the unit (hope that makes sense)... I get a brief GREEN flash
the same here:D green flash ...so... so I put greens and it works:brow:

Interesting... So we got 2 purple, 2 green and 1 red, I'm interested to know more, but I'm also conscious that the manufacturer is inundated with emails at the moment, so I won't message, but if any of you guys do, please share...

Edit; could it be a batch thing? Obviously batch to batch, units are going to vary. When manufactured, does (s)he set an "offset" to calibrate the expected temp Vs actual temp?

If he does get production up to 1,000 units a month I don’t think it will be too long before he wants to consider offering alternate woods to stimulate further demand, either because his order bank is starting to drop or the opposite happens and he sees an opportunity to grow further. I for one am happy to wait as long as it takes. I would expect the manufacturer to refine and perfect his design in other areas first however.

To be fair, I currently have other vapes on order so I have no real desire to buy anything else right now.

Can anyone report how TM performs when forgoing a grinder? I hope that some hand torn buds in the mv capsule will still generate some density. That used to work pretty well on my original firefly, and really cut down on the mess. That method hasn’t been so great for me in the splinter.

I don’t mind trading some efficiency for a simpler DD, but hoping to stay cloudy!

It works fine, but not as well as a more consistent grind in my experience

@EnemyLemon – I have no experience with hand torn buds in the TM, but a coarse grind works really well. You should take into account that the Mistvape caps tend to tune down the cloudiness by about a quarter of an octave (whatever that means), so you might have to set the dial a bit higher. I agree with @Shit Snacks that the performance highly benefits from a consistent grind.

I'd just cancel those orders, unless you're collecting vapes, and order this one.

The opportunity to downsize that the Tiny Might offered--making all but the most stealth portables unneeded--put some spare cash in my pocket, made the wife happy, and de cluttered the man cave.

Yeah and to clarify I have still not try the empty capsules with my TM at all, I would think it better to grind more medium even for that usage personally... I have done whole nugs in GRAV screened taster stem, then hand broke them after four or five hits (flipping mid-way) to use in a different mesh-screened stem... I do think this is a vape where it is best to have some sort of consistency to your grind to get the most out of your herbs with an even extraction, but it will honestly work with anything really (FF did work best with hand torn chunks and whole nugs for me, while StickyBricks are champs for that too). In my experience so far I am getting the best extraction with a nice consistent medium grind from my BCG (I only have their fine plate) though I often will have a coarser grind with some powder on top as well, lot of variance when you have a dozen different strains lol

@VGOODIEZ To protect the bottom I was thinking a cell phone protector screen or the clear "repair" tape that Gorilla makes https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Crys...rds=gorilla+tape+repair&qid=1582262101&sr=8-1 cut to size. May take away from the aesthetics but it'll protect the bottom at least.
Yeah but you have your micro USB port and temp dial down there. Plus the screw that holds it together. You really have no room for tape and you don't want it near all that stuff.

Since we're on the topic of possible negatives, why is it that people made a big deal about the air going over the electronics of some Arizer vapes (Solo II and Extreme Q I think) but it was quickly dismissed in the case of the Tinymight?

I don't own either vape (or any vape yet, actually!) but I'm curious to know.

I do understand the appeal of the Tinymight but I’m happy to stay my course thank you. The vapes I’m talking about are a Nomad I, which I’ve waited over a year for plus a G43 SledGhammer, which I’ve also waited over a year for and a uniquely customised Tetra P80, which I chose to order in preference to a Tinymight.

It just so happens that they’re all going to arrive imminently and within a few weeks of each other but that’s just the way it goes. Nevertheless, that lot should give my VAS a break and tide me over for a while!

FUCK CANCER TOO !
yeah, was about writing same, when your post showed up. The torx screw in the middle of the bottom plate protrudes and my TM doesn't stand flat and wobbles a bit

Fast forward a little over one month from when you posted that statement back in January and you have now put the unit up for sale. You have stated that you are using it less and less and have not reached for it at all this past week here in late February. Would you be kind enough to share why it is you feel that this unit has not met your expectations as a "keeper"?

TIA!

I'm fully into desktop units through glass for cooling meanwhile, as I'm getting more and more sensitive to vapor over all. I've been using the Air for years, but today I'm coughing to death from 200° upwards.
WoddScent, TETRAx (a home portable for me) and Life Saber are the devices I'm using every day. Followed by the ELEV8R, which I save for the killing monster hits, but quite regularly too. For on the go I grab the Elite or one of my butanes.

I wrote here already that I'm hating the cooling unit. I tried different stems, but no one was fitting my needs. Closest has been the XL8R, great taste and cooling, but the screen-fiddling drove me crazy. Using the TinyMight through glass with a RBT stem as WPA will produce great milky clouds, but if I'm giving the ELEV8R a 10 in taste, the TinyMight will only get a 4 from me here :(

The TinyMight is a great device, but there's been no real love between us and I need cash. What I wrote are personal feelings, so please don't offend me, I won't discuss em here anyway :)

What heat setting do u use the Tiny Might at? I mean, 4 out of 10 is pretty low score to give this thing. I have desktops that produce 10's for flavor and Tiny is not that far behind. FF2 is probably the best flavor I've tasted and Tiny Might nips at its heels too.

The ELEV8R looks all glass, but not really portable, and is a butane based device.
