Ferrus......do not push or force in into the bowl lower.....just let it rest where it stops. I think you are sort of using it like a banger almost....or where you are doing multiple sessions per day? That might be a lot of stress on the boro bowl. TAG makes a really thick 18/14 adapter bowl that will work good...but they are not in stock again.

You will want something thicker or quartz as far as a bowl to put the healthstone in if you do lots of use per day with it.

@nonamekevin it cracks usually after repeated use and either just after I’m finishing the session or usually during the convection heating. My thought was the same that maybe the ceramic discs were expanding because I use to push the disc down to make sure they really secure. Now I just barely tap them into place. Since it seems to be happening when I’m inhaling I thought maybe a quartz water adaptor would be the solution. I don’t have this problem with my Splinter Z or Supreme V6. I also have Elev8r hooked up to a 16mm coil but eventually same issue. The issue I think is the quartz heater expanding and contracting and ceramic expanding a little and contraction and I don’t think the glass can deal with it all. So do you think a water adaptor made out quartz would solve that. I dunno but thought I’d put it out there to greater wisdom of the community.
If the ceramic is expanding to the point that it cracks the adaptor, quartz isn't going to matter, because the issue is still the disc expanding beyond the vessel its in.

@LabPong has it right, drop it in and let it sit as it falls.

canj00digit?

All my days in a daze...
I heat my elev8r with a MAPP torch and do a few in a row and the glass adapter gets quite hot even at the bottom joint yet neither of my adapters has cracked from thermal abuse (though I've been a bit wary they might).

But I've never used the flavor disc.

I also think that allowing the buildup to keep going with the disk and not cleaning it....might be the issue. I clean mine out every 3-4 uses.....just soak in ISO and rinse....re-soak and rinse again.

For those who have used the flavor disk, is it recommended to burn it off or clean it some how before first use, or just drop in and go? Got my hands on some resin that I'd like to try out tonight with the elev8r.

Kevin....just do a ISO wash and hot/cold water rinse on it. I do this with anything that is in the bowl area and vapor path that I can.

Some people just torch it to clean it ...but I do not like torching it if I can ISO it off well first. Just depends on what you are putting on it....some trates are much more dirty with left over residue than others.

Much like Labpong, I iso it and then rinse well with water. I also then do a dry run to pull hot air through the flavor disc and evaporate any water that might be left behind. or I have also dried it out with a hair dryer.
Try it with herb on the bottom and a flavor disc in top.

I'm absolutely lovin my new quartz heater which is a replacement for a well used boro one that got broken.

I'm finding it so much easier to hit my sweet spot with some Sublimator style one & done doozies than I did with the boro which I found it very easy to combust with. I've had the quartz for about a month and a half now but only combusted 3 or maybe 4 times maximum, which is damn good for me!

35 seconds of spinning & heating in the centre of the heater gives me pretty consistent results now - whereas I found results with the boro heater using the same torch were all over the place in comparison.

Now I'm heating for around 5 seconds less, so saving both gas & time, but receiving a thicker & more fully roasted outcome. And the time to cool down is much quicker too.

I was a little apprehensive regarding the quartz heater to begin with after reading various reports, but I am personally finding it a big improvement - if a little wobbly - compared the boro.

I know people are put off by the torch, but I love the feeling of ritual as well as the freedom it brings - plus ripping such massive creamy hits from that little glass bowl with no cord attached and then lifting it to clear the piece is so akin to blazing back in the day that I just can't get enough :ko:

yeah, like here, the second or third mostly is the hammerhit that smashes you into your couch :D

Honestly I'm curious about getting a coil and pairing the ELEV8R with my Auber. I think a more often use of the ELEV8R would skyrocket my tolerance to another new level.

Do it....get their 15.8mm coil. You can set it up with the heater and control the temps so much better. You can make it more of a sipper if you like....you dont have to make it hit hard all the time with the coil.

if 7thfloor had marketing like Dynavap they would drive not Tesla but Aston Martin or something :D

most underrated and less known vape manufacturer imho, at least outside of North America
You're right, they're not too famous, i think that's their style.
btw you know the scene in 'Harold and Kumar 2' where the hunter-weirdo guy uses his SSV in dinner?

This is my ideal setup for elev8r. just a fierce beast.
I work exclusively on a timer. I heat up the first blow for 59 seconds, the second for 45 seconds, the third for 40 seconds. with gas cylinder nozzle I usually evaporate 100% all for 2-3 maximum incredible blows.
