Apprently damage from over heating .

That just looks like some burnt on crud. Some oil/resin a bit of flower and heat. Rode hard and put away wet. :) I'd clean it as best I could and carry on vapin'. Perhaps you are overfilling the cap and material is in contact with the clicker?

There doesn't appear to be a clicker in that cap. Amazing how the clicker vaporized and the cap is still intact he jested. I'd bet that is a genuine counterfeit cap, where did you buy it? DV may miss installing a clicker occasionally, if they do it is a very rare occurrence.

There are 2 clickers inside. They both still click too but the cool down click..... LoL One takes about 5 min all the way up to 10 mins to click. I can force it to click by flicking it when its cooled. The cap was not that old and I did not over heat it. Maybe once or twice by mistake ;p but I don't beleve it was overheating that killed it. I think it was a dodgy clicker but dynavap will not admit it. The shop that I got it from did replace it for me out of kindness thou Thank you Vapefiend!

I have never cleaned it inside with ISO, nor with ethyl alcohol.
It is not so much "oil" as it seems more "scraped".
Is it possible that stainless steel deteriorates in this way?
In almost a year I have only had two combustion (I have not heard the click), I use a common blowtorch lighter.

Is that a crack in the clicker?
That would explain the way its not working.
Kinda looks like a metal fatigue crack.
That cap is freaky clean. :uhoh:

I guess I can't see what you can see, the images focus is soft.
ISO or alcohol at room temp will not damage the clicker or cap.
My cap is cleaner but there are some small bright spots, I suspect what maybe happening is some crud flies off the cap occasionally when it cool clicks.
I've never seen any steel deteriorate like that.
If it clicks I'd vape away, YMMV. :)

Best Wishes to you, @Alexis , in finding the best balance in your Quest!:spliff:

Some of us sometimes take things for granted. Until things go south.

PS if you can source some Salvia, it is mildly hallucinogenic, less over the Dover cliffs than acid.
Hope you didn’t get the brunt of the storm, Wales got hit pretty hard by Dennis.

Acid is like a walk in the park compared to salvia. I’d rather drop 3 hits and walk into a haunted house than try that shit again. Absolutely horrifying
