Tetra P80

I quickly found that none of my existing 18650 batteries met the power requirements, so I put the Lamart battery on the charger...

Got the first basket in this morning and was BLOWN away with the least restrictive draw of any vape I've ever used- AWESOME START!

I am a bit shocked by the battery draw after just one bowl, but it is so worth it! I've lots of fine tuning to do and have been pushing the temps up (I think I'm at 415*F). Super even extraction, I am delighted!

I still have lots of learning to do. 1 or 2 draw "heat soak" draws helps get this baby ripping. Lots to learn and it is going to be a fun ride!

Thank you so much Funky, this is going to be a killer addition to my stable.

Whats everyone's preferred batteries? There are SO many choices!

Heavy users- How many batteries does it take you to get through the day?
Nice! How does it compare to your other vapes?

Everything in my collection serves a pretty specific purpose BUT, there is one vape in my collection this will bump... My Ambit is officially retired to travel duties!

I am still exploring all it can do. I am finding myself favoring the cruise mode @430* for full even extraction and no stirring. Could be my head, but it feels like I am getting more productive and effective draws in Cruise.

I need to play with temp settings in Step mode before weighing it in... I tried it but the settings were to low for my preferences.

*Glad I noticed this tonight- my bottom screen was angled and dumping material around the heating element. I pulled it out, blew it out the best I could... I did not have a replacement of this size screen, re-shaped it the best I could and reinstalled. It is much better now and will hopefully keep the debris out.

How did you get the bottom screen out? Mine looks a little bent, but I've been afraid to mess with it.

Has anyone else been using the capsule stems? Mine sit right on the screen (I think that's how the bottom screen got a little bent). Is that normal? I just want to make sure I don't damage the unit. Its so beautiful.

Performance has been awesome. Still dialing in my settings but its really a great piece. Live the stems, actually cool vapor with the pointy glass stem in the capsule stem. Aamaxiiiiiiing through water too!

@kadjo I don't have a Tetra, but I have a standard tubo and my capsule stem seems to sit the capsule right on the heater cover too, so I don't use it with the tubo.

Hey everyone! Hope those that have recieved their pre-builds from the last drop are enjoying it!
I dont want to bother funkyjunky with any emails since hes probably busy building - but is anyone here in the "know" about progress? I don't mind waiting however long it takes, but if anyone has heard of an ETA or something for customs, please share! Otherwise, I will be patient I promise - good things are absolutely worth waiting for! :D

@Arbornaut

On the site it says custom units take a month to build if that's what you're after.

Thanks! I saw that - but kind of interpreted it as it "can" take up to 4 weeks depending on the amount of orders. I'm sure it could also easily mean it takes 4 weeks on average and can take even longer depending on orders - just curious if anyone has any extra knowledge aside from that. Maybe past experience ordering a custom from Lamart, with some idea how long it took. Like I say, I dont mind the wait, and am just curious and excited! Cheers!

Oh shit, that's that very comforting. Sorry to hear that! I assumed he moves on to another drop when he finishes the last. I ordered mine on the last drop which was Feb 5th I believe, but maybe hes still catching up with a previous drop?

I’m getting a ton more experience with the p80 and love it more and more. I really like the form factor and function of the nub, it also looks to me like one of the more discrete options.

Did anyone else get a nub mouthpiece, or did you choose other options?

Cleaning the nub has not been an issue, but getting it dry has been a Challenge. Tips?

Nice! I ordered the bendy spiked stem with mine, since I'm not worried about being discrete, and I just like the style. I also ordered a short Ash capsule strem with glass inserts (short and long bendy) with an a-maze cooler.

I'm surprised that lately there have been very few posts about the TETRA P80, especially in comparison to the Tinymight thread which has really blown up in the last few weeks.

It's strange because the comparisons say the P80 is at least equal to the TM, and the wait after ordering P80s is better thanks to the batches that are put up for sale every once in a while.

Anyone ever use the wooden stems from lamart (not just for p80)? I have the nub, short bent spiked and the long bent stem and I like the long bent stem the best by far. Just wondering how the wooden stems with the cooling units work or compare? Even if the wooden stems aren't as good as the long bent glass stem, does it cool it enough? I'm looking at the medium length ones with the glass insert.

I actually got a smoked nub with my Tetra Tubo Dual, then the spiked short bendy with my Tetra P80. Nub gets a little too hot for me to use comfortably with my Tetra personally, so I use it with other vapes... And try a hair dryer maybe?

You have to take the TetraX and original Tubo threads into account as well, since this is more or less the same product albeit in a different form factor with additional features (don't get me wrong all fantastic innovations that do make TP80 special and why I bought one though I own Tubo Evic and Tetra Dual)... The Tinymight is a newer design, and honestly more portable, though they are quite different despite basic similarities (ie pure convection instant on demand with session feature, wood body, steel heating element, and glass stem system)

Ah I get it, I wasn't sure if you had seen that note on the site.

I ordered a custom on the last drop but I'm waiting for Ralph to receive some amboyna burl so I'll be on the longer end of orders.

@FlyingLow
You have the included nub right? I have a bendy cooling stem ordered but I was thinking a nub would be a good addition. I like the compact form factor like you said but I did have concerns that it wouldn't cool the vapour enough. In my head I was thinking of my Splinter Z and how the stock stem is a tad toasty so I prefer the Xl8R. The nub looks like it should cool much better then straight open glass so my concerns are probably unwarranted anyways.

There was a pink fumed nub a couple weeks ago that was really nice and I figured it may go well with my wood choice but someone snagged it lol.

I got all the mouth piece options, benty spike, nub, regular mouthpiece with whip and an ebony wooden step with glass and dynacooler.

Oh to be clear the vapor is effectively cooled by the nub, my issue is the mouthpiece itself getting warm for me, if the tip was longer and it had rings like the spiked shorty bent stem does I think it would be used by me more. The fumed ones look incredible, would love to get one like that someday!
