Brilliant Cut Grinder

The Orange color was just a very small batch they did to try the coloration.
I asked them if they were available about a month ago and am getting mine in the next 7 days :)
Try to send a nice mail and they might be able to help you out.
Will post pictures once it arrives!

What’s the average wait time to your door for one of these in the U.S? And are they really as good as the hype? The coarse grind really interests me as I roll a lot of blunts and normal grinders get the bud too fine. Will the coarse grind be too big to use in any vapes though?

I use my coarse plate for my Splinter Z, Elev8r, Sticky Bricks and Tera when I want more flavour. It works on the Dynavap too but I like the medium or fine for the vapcaps.

What are your experiences with the coloration of the BCG? I would have access to some BCGs but unfortunately not the silver ones – does anyone observe the color wearing or even, heaven forbid, chipping off over time?

Hi all
I ordered my BCG on the 14th December it arrived to me on the 4th February. I’m in the uk and got stung for £19.67! That was £11.67 customs fee and an £8 Royal Mail handling charge (thieving bastards) but it was worth it!

It was bigger than I expected after reading posts asking for a bigger one I thought it was going to be tiny but for me it’s just about right. It feels solid and well made. I went for plain silver and think it looks lovely.
It’s got a smooth operation even if you jam it in there the first half a turn might have some resistance but then it’s nice and smooth, and it gives the most consistent grind I’ve come across, all nice and even and no chunks or bigger bits just a nice even grind.
With nicely cured flower it’s easy to keep clean, I did jam a ‘fresher’ flower in there just to give it a test and it still ground it perfectly (none of my other grinders could do this) but it made it messier and harder to clean. I used a q tip and a little grain alcohol and it made it brand new again, not absolutely necessary but it’s nice to keep it looking new.
The magnets are strong and I don’t think I could go back to a threaded grinder now I’ve been spoilt with the BCG! The little bag for it is also a nice little touch. All in all It’s a great grinder and defo worth the wait imo.

peace, love and light.

M.

Nope, not a bit of wear. I'm very happy with my BCG.

If you want/need a bigger fine grinder for a better grip, may look at NewVape's fine grinder, arm band version.

I have had one of them for years now and also no alarming wear.

I've had one since 4/20 last year and my medium plate is showing some wear on the corners of the sweeper that rides the lid magnet. When grinding very dense material - I can feel a 'clunking' when turning the lid but the teeth on the lid don't seem to be showing any wear. So I'm not exactly sure what's knocking the corners off...

Any chance you could show us a version of it after a thorough cleaning?

@Baron23 – Thx for the input. I'm actually circling around the NewVape grinders for about two years now, though rather considering the regular version – would they be too slippery to handle or why do you recommend the arm band version? How does it compare in size to the BCG (I'm actually looking for a smaller / not too big size as I'm grinding for my microdosing needs mostly)?

@bizwaxzion – Hmmmm, that's the kind of thing I was afraid of. Thank you too!

I have the regular fine grind and traded a NV coarse grind (that I didn't use) with a member for the arm band version.

Why? Well, I'm 67, bit of arthritis starting in my hands, but mostly because I once tore my distal biceps tendon (it was repairs but..) and it turns out your bicep is not really for just curling things...its essential in twisting things (think door knobs, bottle caps, grinders! haha). So, I like the arm band version but the regular version is also outstanding.

The outside diameter of the NV grinders is much bigger (its a heavy chunk of metal) but I do think the interior grinding area is the same size...eh, maybe somewhat bigger but not noticeably big...

I do wish for a bigger BCG as I do find it somewhat tough to grip at times that I load it up well with some good sticky bud.

Micro-dosing...I don't do this so have little experince to share. But, the NV grinder must be dumped out on something as its a two piece. I did...and still do...kind of bulk grind (think an eighth at a time) and then pack into a Space Case or similar. So, I don't mind a two piece.

The BCG grinds into a dish at the bottom as its a three piece which may suit you better as you can grind and then just use out of the dish what you want, close it up, and then go back into it for your next session.

Both are very good devices, IMO.

@Baron23 – You're about to save me some serious $$. While I'm getting more and more into the BCG, I actually have always used two piece grinders and never minded dumping the herb into something else after grinding. I'm constantly switching strains during the day, so I doubt whether I'd be using the BCGs compartment for storage anyway. Since the NV says „Fine Grind“: is it still possible to go for a medium grind with it as well (less turns)? Because I prefer 2 pieces because they let me decide with each grind how fine I want to go.

Decisions decisions... Thx again for the input!

And sorry @all for dragging this into OT. :-)

Well, sort of but I'm not real comfortable in validating this idea as a LOT depends on the strain and condition of your bud.

For example, I have had Blue Dream and no matter what I do, it just went to very fine almost immediately (and yes, kept in mason jar with Boveda...just the way the strain/this crop of it ground up.

Other flower is much more tolerant of grinding and so yes, less turns (kind of like any two piece) will generally yield less fine of a grind.

Cheers

SEARCH for the treasure...
@Baron23 – Haven't decided which way I'm going yet, but your input helps a lot, highly appreciated!

Still waiting on mine, so I can’t participate in any hands on discussion. But, I’ll add my opinion on your “decision”.

In my case, I didn’t know what grind plate/plates to get. I considered the higher price of this well regarded and reviewed grinder, and I was going to, in my mind, justify the purchase on the hope it would be my one and only, retiring my SantaCruz Shredder. So I figured, let me do this once and go “all in”, ordered the 3-plate package, and never worry about grind sizing for various devices or uses. I figured, since I would want the FINE as well as the MEDIUM, why not also get the COURSE as well and have the whole kit. Also, with the long wait time, I didn’t wait to wait again, for a plate I suddenly “needed”. I requested the top and bottom in the same color, and the 3 different middle grind plates, in three different, distinct colors so I could quickly ID each one by their color. Hoping it lives up to the hype.....

Yeah, the plates... I was going to buy the BCG from a European reseller, so I assume I'd get the medium plate with it anyway. In case it's not fine or coarse enough, I'll buy the respective plates directly from the company later. The BCGs I have access to are unicolor, so it would be cool to maybe get a plate in a different color too.

But that would make things a bit expensive – and the NewVapes are 60 or 70€ these days...

Thx for your imput, @RustyOldNail

Which reseller has BCGs in stock over here @Siebter ?
Already got mine on the way but still good to know!
