Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

I’ve been saving up for another vape. Was thinking of going the desktop route - but I love the form factor of the Crafty. I really enjoy my Mighty and would love to have something (truly) portable.

Are people getting eight bowls per battery? That seems reasonable - obviously that will diminish with battery cycles...

How much longer is the battery when disabling Bluetooth? Is this even possible?
My first Crafty+ could not do 4 bowls. I sent it back to box mover. My scond Crafty+ charges in a few hours and lasts 6 bowls, but the last bowl will drain the "improved" battery which is now 3300 mAH instead of 2700 mAH. This would be killer with a stronger 18650, but there is some amount of current pass through. Agreed, $250 for a disposable vape is ridiculous. They shouldgive a lifetime warranty with a $100 exchange fee. This device could not possibly cost half of that in COGS. Greates margin, poorest warranty. Hands down, best vapor - worth it? you betcha.

I'm also at 20 hours on my Crafty+ no problems, before this I got a secondhand Crafty cheap and put 80 hours on that over 2 years with no issue and sold it.
Best two outdoor portable vape summers I had so far with that old Crafty btw!

Every S&B vaporizer has a temperature fuse.
I appreciate it because in the past I had to inhale fuming materials from a "more attractively priced" vape multiple times when it couldn't sense bowl temperature while faulty and just kept on heating.
If the past issue referenced was a cash scam they probably would not have openly boasted about fitting the fuses for safety on all of their early packaging and product overviews.

I thought there might have been an issue with placement location, or the connections of the fuse inside affected OG models.
A lot of other factors might have affected the faulty units,
not to mention cases where a fuse might blow for good reason.
The portables are also fitted with battery temperature detection for safety.
Take "clickbait" style video titles with a pinch of salt!

At first I was using this Crafty+ a lot on full temperature and heatsoaking two capsules in a row for a minute each and running it through a waterpipe and I saw no problems. I happened to change to using two presets incl. the maximum, and dry use since.
Crafty+ is my favorite everyday vape for numerous reasons including the duration and effects felt for the small amounts I load.

I admit the pick tool is easy to lose after charging, mine's totally gone for now!
And with that RRP it's better to buy at sale times like I did, or with a code.
Enjoy:tup:

Yeah my original v1 crafty with around 100 hours never had the fuse problem.
Mine has 20 hours on it and still chugs no problem.

Am I the only one who thinks this is pretty short?? Aren’t 18650/Li-ion batteries good for 300 to 500 cycles while maintaining 80% charge?

Let’s say the Crafty lasts thirty minutes. Shouldn’t people at least get 150 to 250 hours without any major loss in battery capacity? Am I missing something here??

Decided to go with the OG Crafty for $195 from puff it up. Hoping I won't regret getting the C+. Maybe if it breaks down within the warranty they will upgrade me. For now because of the hybrid delema, i am staying away from newly realested vapes.

Yep, we were talking about a thermal fuse blowing, the old Crafty had a thermal fuse that heavy, high temp users (that would run a battery flat in a session from back to back bong hits) would have blow way too soon so nothing to do with the battery cycles.
I was just hoping the thermal fuse temp rating was raised a bit on the new +

I am confident that they've solved that issue long ago, and I would hope a little more intelligently than just selecting the next fuse rating up.

Am I the only one who thinks this is pretty short??...... So twenty to a hundred hours?......
......Am I missing something here??

All the devices you referenced are still operating and making people happy, so we can't determine their total life span yet.
It appears that you missed that part.
There are Craftys with 400-900 hours out there, I don't know the longest hours a single battery cell has made it.

S&B is now offering a complementary "side kit" when you order the Crafty+.
It comes with even more accessories than the OG, minus the charge adapter.

They are listening.

Holy shit, the caddy in the second picture!
Fresh ones out the top, used ones go in the bottom?!

They are thinking.

When they did the 20% increase bat on the OG Crafty the Thermal fuse problem or the red/yellow error never pop up again...to my knowledge... i made that fix twice and on the last one i put in a higher thermal fuse (184 to 192) and been running since with no problems, i also put a new sony vtc6 and my 400+ Crafty is still going!
There is a lot of info regarding this on the Crafty thread.
Cheers

I just took a look at Puffitup and they are in last days of 30% off of og Crafty. It comes with all those trimmings like always, plus a free wpa and grinder, so pretty sweet deal.

OTOH, their 15% FC-1 code works on Crafty+, with free wpa and grinder, just not the fancier accessories package. And when you register the + with S&B you get a 3rd year of warranty added. I think I'd go for that deal. (I usually ask them to swap me something else for the not-so-terrific grinder they give away).

I didn't notice that at first. Pretty nice upgrade actually. Notice the mouthpeice doesnt have an oring.

I just don't like filling the dosing caps. I bite my fingernails and can never get them open easily. I even bought the dosing capsule filling kit. Found them to be more work than its worth.

Would be nice if they upgraded the filling aid.

Sorry for the double post.

I contacted S&B to see if this (according to the website) complementary side kit for the Crafty+. Below is their response.

"The side kit is not “complimentary” (free), it is a “complementary” (enhance) to the Crafty Plus for $19.90 USD."

Guess it is an up sale.

I was also led into thinking the set was 'free with purchase' when I looked at S&B site. I understand there's a difference, but I think they'll have to change that wording, or be answering the question a lot...

So i just got my Crafty+. I am connected to the app but for some reason it will not save the setting i chose for the shutoff timer. Not sure what is wrong here. Everything else with the app seems fine.

I'm a complete dosing caps convert. One of the reason's I'm a Crafty owner. And a Fury 2 owner. I'm in the wilder outdoors a lot or doing active stuff where I like to get a buzz on, like biking, snowshoeing, hiking: Can't be messin' around with loose stuff or lighters or extra stuff with the wind blowing as it does. Now I can go from three to two--one's my daytime fare, a Sativa, and the other's mostly for eves, an Indica. Now no more third container for used caps. With all the problems in the world--and in my life!--this makes my day. And I agree: The S-B folks just do a superlative job. I used to think they were the BMW of vapes, but now I think its more like Mercedes.

Only problem is, like Vape, I have some problems handling the caps and covers, arthritis in my case. I was thinking of trying the Delta3 loader.

Maybe I'm lucky my hands are one of the few parts hardly affected by mine yet.
That loader really looks the business. And I notice maybe free worldwide shipping over a certain amount now at Delta3D, nice for lots of people!
I wish patients could find someone nearby to fill capsules for them every now and then, maybe we should try create an app for that.
Dont forget the S&B plunger/capsule lid holder is available separately.

@Vape_Or_Die420 You need to use this as a reason to stop biting your nails! It's not good and might harm your teeth too?!
Capsules will be worth it!
