What deals did NewVape have during Black Friday/Cyber Monday?
Brah, I've seen as much as a 20% discount in the past two years. As to their grinder (which I've never seen metal shavings from) they sometimes have seconds with cosmetic blemishes at a greater discount.

NV fine grinder works great. No shavings on my end. No idea what you are talking about in regards to stuff getting stuck in it and kief... it's a grinder. You turn it then bang the 2 pieces together over a dish.

Still trying to figure out why you are talking about kief.

You can always use it as a weapon or paperweight, that things got some heft to it.

Got a question for anyone with a good memory. :myday:

What deals did NewVape have during Black Friday/Cyber Monday?

I remember clearly because I had some trouble placing an order, but it was 15% off

Some member pointed out that I might want to consider newvape s fine grinder. I like the fact that it is bulky and heavy.but having silver specs come loose is not something I want. I believe I have a stainless steel grinder atm but it has seen heavy use and is mire of a coarse grinder.

This lift you speak of, you use it with your fp? I am not going to buy a 50 euro plus grinder. Too expensive atm since I will already be blowing about 600 euros to the whole setup if I decide to go that route.

Anyone owning both a silver surfer vape and a fp? Would you say the ssv can compare to the fp if money isnt an issue? Have seen quite some positivity around the ssv as well. But was thinking that might be due to the significantly lower pricetag.
I have da buddah.

I consider da buddah (cosmetic discounted version) to be the vapcap M of desktop vapes. It require more technique and attention to draw than he flowerpot Imo. There's the chance of uneven roasting with da buddah if your not turned I to your technique.

They can't really be compared though.

Thanks for sharing.
I can see you own(ed) an Arizer Air just like me. Ho would you compare da Buddah to the Arizer Air? In terms of effect/clouds/efficiency/ABV? As you can tell by my profile pic, I like clouds

Was there ever a consensus on which carb cap is best for the V-Rod? I went with the 2 hole when they were first released.Has there been a newer design since?

I haven't been keeping up in the past few months.

Thanks everyone, glad I went with the 2 hole, I am still loving my V-rod. I went back to the ti bowl instead of glass.

Agreed 2 holes are maybe the best. Also got the DNail halo quartz caps. Love being able to see the balls spin.
I have the 2 hole, its 3137-2 is there a newer design or was this it?
edit
I see the 3288 universal is the latest, wonder if its any different than mine?

The universal functions the same, but only came out with the release of the tbucket (I think), and fits all the NV line up.

How often is everyone cleaning theIr glass bong & shovel head bowls? I use my Vrod daily, about 15- 20 bowls a day. Why does my glass piece get so damn dirty!! Even after I clean it, one bowl and the coating starts appearing where the bubbles pop. It’s like wax, gold color.

I twax a full bowl and .1-.2g dabs together, anywhere from 3 to 10 times a day depending. I use a drop down and change the water/run hot water through the piece nearly daily to keep all of the matrix holes clear of that reclaim wax you're talking about. Occassionally I will brush out the bowl while hot, usually just tap it out.

Because of the hot water rinses my drop down and the bowl screen effect performance the most to me. I feel like there is noticable drag added after 4 or 5 days without cleaning, and if I wait a full 2 weeks to break the whole thing down for an iso cleaning, there is a pretty obvious performance difference once its cleaned.

With a better reclaim catcher and a screen change I could probably go longer but for me the bowl gets to be a gooey mess after a week or 10 days anyways.

I use an Ash Catcher which helps a lot. I also rotate two bowls to keep strains separate. I’m not as heavy a user, only evenings and weekends and clean the bowls about every 6 months. I clean my glass thoroughly once a week, just before the weekend!

@vape>comb the santa cruz shredder priced just above the one you initially mentioned would work great. Has an extra compartment for the fresh grind to drop into. The one you posted would work great if you had a nice spot to dump it into and scoop it out.

If I were to get a new controller now, I may 'upgrade' to the Auber300...but the newvape one has not skipped a beat since I got it over 2 years ago. So anything more I see as a luxury. Might get a real fancy one like the Maxvape one if/when the original newvape one goes out or starts performing wonky.

You'll really enjoy the Vrod if you like traditional bong/rig hits.

@snamuh I will discuss the auber cover stand with the engineering team.

We own Mastercam X2 for CAM & Solidworks 2011 for CAD. Our designs all start in solidworks. 3d Solid models and assemblies drastically reduce the number of physical prototypes required. We then import the 3d model into mastercam where we assign toolpaths to the geometry. Mastercam outputs a cnc program that drives the machines. Are you a designer or machinist? Please don't hesitate to ask any more questions.

I'm a graphic designer (Adobe Suite). Basically I have been designing typical marketing material. The copywriters that I work(ed) with corresponded with our clients to get their general ideas and then provide the text to me and I produce the designed material (EDDM, Brochures, Social Media, Pay per click ads). I am definitely more on the creative side of things. Getting into 3d modeling has been in the back of my mind after seeing all the amazing stuff people are doing with 3d printer etc.

I don't have any 3d modeling experience aside from making a few maps for Half-Life back in the day when I was younger.

Thank you for your response!

Hey got a question for anyone who has a 16mm and a 20mm coil set up. I been running a 20mm showerhead for about a year and recently got a used 16mm wrap around. Im noticing I have to run them at drasticly different temps to get the same density and draw. I know they are different draw restrictions but I can run the showerhead at like 600-680 but the other needs more like 800+ for the same hit. Am I doing somthing wrong. Does the coil cover make that much diffrence? Was excited to get a splitter and run dual flowerpots but wont work if there that far off in temp. Any tips /pointers would be super appreciated
