It's a test I want to conduct. I suspect it will pass with flying colors. The wood is soaking wet when if I turn it fresh. From the MFLB tests, it swells a little and comes back to size. Very easy to discern with the fit of the tube in the LB. That LB stem is going on 5 months old with daily use. I see no signs of taking on moisture on any of the VC stem used or on my daily driver, which appears good as new. Still slick and still presents the same texture. Noting of course that it has a simple Shellac finish to fill the super-tight grain. However, I do have a stem I would like to test in direct contact with water. That would be the ultimate experiment

Easiest question I'll answer all day. Because not having that hole was an uncomfortable experience. I gave away my stem without a hole and don't miss it. I need the option of additional fresh air from the device for an experience that's dialed to my liking. If I had no choice but a stem with no airport, I would quit vapcapping. After trying both, that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

I'm guessing you are not using a rig? That is the reason why most whom do not use a condenser have 0 need for a carb. When you direct mouth draw on the vapcaps....external air intake is important.

It's funny. I always leaned towards pipes in my combustible youth. At one point the more elaborate the better, and then I ended up for a very long time using a dugout/bat and the occasional bong in the years preceding vaporizing. So to a certain extent it was quite easy moving into vaping because I already had an eye out for the cool toys.

But yes, an M would have been very welcome back in the early 70's. Me and my friends would have had a wonderful time with the magical 'M'.

Speaking of which; Dynavap certainly scratched that dugout itch. But it wasn't until I found the Simrell Vortex that I truly enjoyed using my vapcap natively. I've found out that it doesn't matter if I use a torch or an IH, what matters is the stem I use. And for native use the Vortex is the only one that consistently gives me hits that don't irritate my lungs. I don't know why-I just know it's true. Better flavor and overall vapor.

And that's allowed me to gift my previous favorite, the Omni XL, to my favorite niece who lost her M. I think she'll like it a lot.

But that brings me to the BB9, which I think of as the Blue-Balled Beast. It is absolutely the best thing Dynavap has come out with in the past year, and they've come out with some cool shit. I had a cold the last couple weeks and hadn't touched it. Had my first session with it and I'm so blown away (fucked up). I've actually come to love the carb since it acts like a carb. It is hands down the best water stem I have for the vapcap, and I have way too many to count. But it's the best; great flavor, great 'response', and very large cool hits.

Cheers FCers!
In Hawaii on the beach (forgive me for being a surfer) 70’s.
We smoked joint’s from our COLAS without seed.
No $ for this activity and no seed’s due to pulling males? (Thank nature for fertile soil, trade wind’s & sun shine most daze)
Those less fortunate thought we were wasteful!
They were heckler’s I bet!

During harvest of our seedless crop a “M” would have been welcomed!

I will consider myself very lucky. @TommyDee gifted me one of his Flowering Quince Stems and I have to say it is f@#king awesome! Its long and slender at 5 3/8 inches. Its very sleek and elegant but is reminiscent of an earlier time when men wore suits. The finish is butter smooth and looks more like bone than wood.

Its aesthetics are matched by its performance. An 8mm bore goes to a 5mm bore just after the tip and provides similar performance to a traditional condenser. The impressive length does a great job of cooling the vapor.

Thanks @TommyDee. This is such a cool stem!

I’m feeling the Cruella DeVille vibes!

Definitely has that "cigarette holder" feel.

BTW I'm using a 19 SS tip and LTC and getting really nice clouds through 3 cycles starting just below center and working my way up just above center.

Thanks again @TommyDee I really apreciate it. Your stem will have a special place in my collection.

I’d love to see a Victorian roach style dynavap stem.

I’m not sure how it would work - but I’d like to see it!:sherlock:

An Armenian artisan creates these exquisite sterling holders (I am of the school of simple is/as elegant)

But what a wonderful ‘Cap-stem it would make. High St, within budget.

Hey all

Anyone else use their Vapcap to vape herbs other than cannabis?
I found a list online of a bunch of vapeable herbs and their benefits and I wont lie, I'm having fun.

The Vapcap even works well with low temperature herbs, just need to be careful on how you heat it.

These things really are amazing:D

Mint is a popular one to vape. Lots of health benefits that aren't readily apparent, plus the room smells great afterwards. LOL

@grogazola Not quite a
"Victorian", but how's this? lol

Made this as a joke from the mouthpiece of a Black & Mild Jazz cigar. Holds up to the heat of a Dynavap's tip surprisingly well. lol

You can even add the fat mouthpiece on for making this fit well in glass or just as a soft cushioning for the mouthpiece.

Not a daily driver by any means but was fun to make and show off to a couple of people for laughs.

Happy Vaping! :leaf:

My induction heater should be here today or tomorrow! I’m absolutely stoked to take another trip down into the Dynaverse.

Besides VapeNorth, where can I get some sweet dynavap stems (and mouthpieces?) within Canada?

@stark1 - those stems are really class. I’d love to have a stem like that one you posted to whip out at parties! could you link me?
